@2:07 I feel like my 2023 Challenger has a noise issue from around that same area. It could be the seatbelt or an interior panel. It's so subtle, that unless I describe it in the proper manner, my local dealership probably wont know how to address it. Do you have any more details on this?
I can definitely talk about the attention issue. Back in 2018 I obtained one of the first wide body Hellcats in my area here in central CA. Man, the attention was unreal, people speeding up, slowing down almost getting in accidents to get a look at it. Took the wife for a little break in trip, there was an In-and-Out burger off the freeway, so we pulled in, the car drew a nice little crowd. You can see in my avatar what it looked like. It was fun. Wish I still had it. Didn't have any problems to speak of.
2023 last call challenger scat manual, picked up brand new. Horrendous noise coming either from the rear diff or driveshaft support bearing while cold outside until the car itself warms up. Passenger door makes a loud sharp pop when opening (with window down as well, it’s not the window seal). Going back to the dealer at the next cold snap so they can hear it themselves.
I had an alignment problem with my current 2018 Challenger Hellcat wide body and my 20 Ram2500. Also in the past with my 15 Scat Pack, 13 Ram2500, 08 Ram1500, 02 Ram2500, 99 Dakota RT and 96 Dakota 5.2. Every one was not able to be corrected at the dealer. No joke. Besides the alignment they've all been great.
Not my only car. I am retired and kept my old '94 Buick Regal to do a variety of transportation duties like, driving in the cold months here in PA when brine and salt is put down on the roads during snow events, towing my small 4x8 trailer, using it to carry tools, construction items, etc in both the trunk and interior, etc. The Charger is my "toy" and It'll be kept and maintained, as perfectly as I can with regular maintinence, washing and waxing , etc. It's kept in a secure garage so that in 10+ years it'll look like new. It's paid off and will likely be the last new car I'll ever buy. @@toonedhonda

I see people like you floating around and it just tickles me silly. Bro, it’s 900 miles, any car that has any kind of serious maintenance problem under 50k-60k miles is trash anyways. 900 miles means that car ain’t barely been broke in, Ofcourse it’s not having any problems dude.
Definitely some crazy odd issues with a brand new car. They need to fix all of it. On their dime. I have a 23 dodge charger scat pack. Luckily, no issues so far.
Most domestic brands have poor build quality. I bought a 23 TRX and have dealt with quite a few issues and a still have a couple that need to be resolved. My AM/FM radio didn’t work and it was faulted to a bent pin on the connector behind the infotainment. A rubber door vent was missing in one of the doors. I had crap rumbling around inside the tailgate. Weather stripping on a door is coming up. Couple paint runs and dust nibs in a few places. Condensation in one of my mirror lights. The worst is I need a new windshield because the HUD is displaying a “ghosted” image which is because of a bad laminate in the glass. I fixed everything wrong with the truck myself as I don’t have much trust in service center mechanics. I really love this truck but the problems I’ve had with it did take away from completely enjoying it.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's very unfortunate you've had those issues! And I can totally relate with wanting to fix it yourself because I find that sometimes you take it in for a fix and it comes back with some other issue. Hopefully your trx is doing good now
Just wanted to chime in about the hood latch corrrosion issue. I noticed it as well on my 23 HC. It occurs because of the two different metals touching (steel hood latch & aluminum hood) and causing a chemical reaction. It's an common issue due to bad paint prep at the factory. You should have a corrosion warranty and dodge/Chrysler will replace your hood for you after they send in the pictures of the damage.
@spectre3492 hi don't know if my reply went through earlier but it's 60months from your vehicle's build date. Not 60months after you've bought the vehicle.

So I'm thinking of Nitto 555R2s for the rear and Atturo AZ850s for the front. I hear the Toyo r888s are the best for the rear for traction but I've been told they are loud and uncomfortable on regular surfaces. The nittos seem like a good in between.
@SchwayZ Heard good things about Nittos, that's what I will be going with 255 in front 305s in back. Should hook up good after I get it back from dealer. Thank God I have the wheel package. As I was texting you the other day, the wife and girlfriend went shopping, crushed right front wheel and cracked the cradle. If they do it right, hopefully no issues. Thanks for getting back with me. Hellcats are not 80,000 cars.. just because people are paying that price doesn’t mean that that’s what they should be sold for. more like 55 to 62,000 dollar car.. I would never pay over 58,000 myself…
In 2019 t paid 46k for my 2016 Hellcat with 1778 miles that was bought new in 2017 as a leftover for $56,500 (72,340 msrp) I got a good deal ,a bad or normal price "retail" was 52k-54k at that time ,I bought my car privately and paid $1000 over the highest trade in offer which were $41k to 45k of 4 offers, I would never pay these current inflated prices
No… but the quality is not $80k worth. It’s a production built vehicle, not hand built. I paid almost $60k for my Camaro SS 1LE and there are quality issues with it but I knew that going in, it’s a production built car.
I've owned a regular hellcat now I have a wide body red eye. Both had the p0s complete garbage. The drag radials are good but they don't last. The best tire for that car is a r888r Toyo. I run 325 30 20 in on the rear and 315 30 20in on the front. No issues with rubbing. They do make the original 305 35 20 inch you could use. But let me tell you this is the best tire I've ever experienced. I have the 309 rear option I can at 40 mph second gear and smash the throttle to the ground and she hooks and books. If I did that with a pirelli's I'd be in the trees. And the nice thing about the Toyo all you need to do literally one to second burnout and they're good to go. You don't need a big ass burn out like you do with the drag radios. I'm talking from personal experience. Or accelerate hard a couple times before you want to launch it and the tires are warmed up. And you don't get that high speed wobble with the Toyo like you do with the Mickey Thompson or the other kind of drag radials. And if you get caught in the rain they are much better than the drag radial. They're expensive but you get what you pay for.
I had a 15 scat pack with zero issues but I now have a c8 vette and build quality is light years better in the c8. The c8 is stable at high speed turns and acceleration is sick. 2.8 to 60 mph. It looks like a Ferrari and drives like one almost.
Brampton did not have the ability to align the Chargers or Challengers. Dealer aligned my HC before I took delivery. On my Scat Pack I had uneven tire wear that was pointed out by a servicing dealer. Stated it was a factory issue and they would align at no cost once I put new tires on the car. After purchasing tires I returned and the second set of tires has worn perfectly. Prior to my first Challenger purchase I was looking at a pre owned SRT Challenger. On the CarFax it stated that the car had a 4 wheel alignment at 1000 miles. I did not understand it at the time but I do now. Frequent occurrance - I think if one happens to be in alignment it's an accident.

I agree with you, I too live in Utah and took my 2023 Durango Hellcat back to the dealership I purchased it from for an alignment and after a two hour wait with an appointment they said it takes special tools and couldn't do it! Took it down the street to Les Swab's and had it done in minutes, also laugh about the special tools. It is amazing to spend so much money and get treated poorly, when I take my Hundia Santa Cruz in for just an oil change I get pictures a video and so much more and that's a $30,000 dollar vehicle, I love my Hellcat yet I just don't see Dodge being around down the road with how they treat their customers. Still love my car!
What if I told you that same Hellcats are 200k+$ in Finland. Heck, the the last call jailbrake is closer to 300k… Should you expect ”world class experience” then? Pricing here is just crazy
You hit a curb, i can see the scratch on the lip. Your ring is scratching it. You probably spilled coffee on the seat and you drive the car in the winter. I couldnt watch the whole thing.
It's the active exhaust valves....they open up when you accelerate then close when you let off accelerater....your steering rack should still be covered under power trade warranty.....I live in south florida and the dealerships were really nasty when I brought my 19 challenger hellcat redeye ...seems like everything changed after covid.
The odd thing about the exhaust flap is it only happens when I'm standing still at a light. It doesn't happen when accelerating or switching to different drive modes. And thanks for sharing!
I have a 2016 Hellcat and I have some of the issues you have. I do have the alignment issue. I have had horrible Dodge dealer service as well. Some of the things I notice with mine are the following: I have what I would consider supercharger bearing whine. Dealer said it was normal and the 2015-2016's had louder superchargers, BS. I have this weird engine ticking while accelerating. You can't hear it at idle. Best way I can explain it is, it's like the sound of putting a card in a bicycle spoke. I use premium gas. So its either an exhaust leak or some kind of valvetrain noise like rockers. Might be lifters but it isn't the normal Hemi tick. I also have some weird rattle coming from the headliner. I do have a sunroof. The sound it like wadding up wrapping paper. Its crunchy. The most info I could find is that the headliner has these foam cushions between it and the roof. They apparently age and when they loose their adhesion, it can make this sound. I have some weird rattle when closing the trunk lid inside the spoiler. Its like something is loose. The diiff whines around 50mph. If the car is a little cold, when you first start driving, the transmission might studder or have issues finding the right gear from 1-2 to 2-1. Then there is the clunking on the 3-2 & 2-1 downshifts. Sounds like the U-Joints or the carrier bearing might be going out. Heated seats are the worst I have. Its like they don't get hot. Love the car but Dodge does have some issues and don't get me started on the panel gaps.
You’re welcome. I do enjoy the car. Puts a smile on my face every time I get it in. It does draw a lot of attention. Some unwanted. It does make me happy that others find joy in it. The other day I went through a fast food drive thru and the window person was like “is that a Hellcat? Man I love those. I love the sound and the looks etc.” I could tell I really made that persons day and those are the things I enjoy. The simple fact this car is some kids dream car and seeing it provide joy that isn’t replaceable.
The hood latch corrosion is normal because you have the steel insert welded to the aluminum hood and thats a natural reaction when those metal are touching. Both the chargers and challengers have it and its completely normal.
what yr car ? ck with your insurance agent , rates with a charger or challenger v6 or v8, sxt, gt r/t. ....stay away from scat packs, hellcats , red eyes , til you have a few yrs of driving experience , dont get any tickets ,your rates will be low ,ask for any kind of discounts , \ multi drivers in the same house , same company , good student , car is garaged , zip code all have factors in mo premium
I think all the dealerships are the same I have 2023 Ford mach 1 I didn’t buy from my local ford so whenever I take my car to my local dealer for warranty issues they are not happy to work on it because i didn’t buy it from them also, they charge me for diagnosed even though Car is pretty much brand new
That noise is in the dash maybe a lose bolt or in the plastic some where . That going to be a tricky fix . They will need to start taking dash parts off in that area. I work on cars 45 years body and mechanical . So i know those kind of noises are a pain . Good luck
That alignment issue should have been no questions asked...thats how you loose my business, beautiful car,ive got a 20 gold rush shaker scat absolutely love it #6 of 70
Buddy even BMWs and Mercedes have these same minor issues. They're $80k cars all day. These are common problems with owning a newer model car. The build quality of newer vehicles has gone down significantly. You alignment issue is cause of the roads, but also cause many dodge models have an electronic steering rack. It's a known issue in the dodge community. For some reason a lot of the widebodies were shipped with the issue. Consider upgrading to an aftermarket mechanical steering rack. The hood latch issue is from sitting water. Dry under your hood next time it's washed.
You shouldnt have that creaking sound. Its too bad its not under the warranty anymore. I'd bring it back. My Scat has been good other than the battery being weak at times.
Your problem is your local dealership...Our '23 Wagoneer L was around $85k with all the options and my local dealer here in Broken Arrow, OK has been nothing short of amazing....they are a Wagoneer Certified dealer and my experience has been nothing short of top notch and everything i expected for the money, every service or recall that has been done, i alwqys got a Wagoneer loaner. The Ford dealership experience i had when i lived in Salt Lake City back in 2007, was horrible because they don't like to do warranty service for vehicles that was not originally purchased from them 🤷🏽♂️
Glad you've had a good experience! I've gone to a few dealerships locally and had a bad experience. Same experience you had with Ford here back in the day. As for the wagoneer service center would you say it's as nice as Mercedes, BMW, Range Rover, etc?
@SchwayZ in my experience, I would say that the BMW dealership in Murrieta, CA (when I lived there and owned a BMW) compared to the CDJR dealer experience I've experienced here, currently, in Oklahoma, is on par...when I shop for vehicles, I really shop for a dealership first and foremost. You can buy a new vehicle anywhere but dealership experience is what you'll have to live with...had "a lot" of bad experiences in the past and learned my lessons the hard way 🤦🏽♂️
Thanks for sharing. Yeah you can shop around dealerships but when it comes to certain trims and specs (and price) you sometimes have to go to a specific dealership and can't shop around.

You obviously have a bad Dodge dealership in your area. My dealership in my area is awesome. Everything you said about what the Ford dealership does my dealership would do. It's not Dodge it is your particular dealership in your area. And there is a lot of bad ones out there no matter what brand you buy. You basically prove that point to yourself when you said the dealership you bought the car from paid for your alignment that sounds like a good dealership understand what I'm saying?
Yeah I can definitely see what you're saying but I've gone to a few dealerships in my area and had a bad experience in one way or another. Again it's local but hearing the stories of the Markups and the way they've treated customers on the Demon 170 rubs me the wrong way.
Having all these issues with the car especially from the onset is not surprising, Dodge was never known for its quality or quality control. I can't believe someone would pay 80k for a hellcat challenger that has really no discernable difference in looks to a challenger that has a 3.6 engine. I never thought the challenger was good looking car from the beginning. If someone is going to pay that much over a challenger with a 3.6 engine -to me you should get more than just a engine up grade-there are millions of these challengers out there and they all look the same. P.S those mudflaps you put on look terrible with the widebody.
You can definitely tell the difference between a 3.6L and the hellcat. Just because you can't, doesn't mean there isn't a difference. Also getting a 3.6L and upgrading to get hellcat power will cost tens of thousands of dollars to do it right and you still don't get it covered under warranty. You might as well spend the extra (since you have it) and get a hellcat. P.S. your opinion on the mud flaps obviously doesn't matter since you don't even like the car to begin with.
@@SchwayZ yes but I dry it off and wipe all the water down. Obviously you don’t take the time to do that. Why make a video with out first paying attention to detail?

Thanks for sharing your experience! Very unfortunate that you're having those issues. Hopefully you're still enjoying the car!
@TheSwampDonkey yep I completely agree! It's very cool to have a car that people admire. Glad you're enjoying your ride man!
The hood latch corrosion is normal because you have the steel insert welded to the aluminum hood and thats a natural reaction when those metal are touching. Both the chargers and challengers have it and its completely normal.
You can't weld steel to alum.
Thanks for sharing!
My 2017 Ram 1500 won't let you "toot" the horn. When the steering wheel is pushed, it blows for at least 1 second.. Very frustrating.
That's really weird!
Which would be better for a first car, a charger or a challenger?
The charger would be a great daily because of the 4 doors. I personally like the look of the challenger more but that's personal preference
what yr car ? ck with your insurance agent , rates with a charger or challenger v6 or v8, sxt, gt r/t. ....stay away from scat packs, hellcats , red eyes , til you have a few yrs of driving experience , dont get any tickets ,your rates will be low ,ask for any kind of discounts , \ multi drivers in the same house , same company , good student , car is garaged , zip code all have factors in mo premium
I think all the dealerships are the same I have 2023 Ford mach 1 I didn’t buy from my local ford so whenever I take my car to my local dealer for warranty issues they are not happy to work on it because i didn’t buy it from them also, they charge me for diagnosed even though Car is pretty much brand new
What a bummer man! Yeah it's hard when you buy from a different dealer. They don't make it easy
If the car is still under factory warranty, they should not be charging you a diagnostic fee.
That noise is in the dash maybe a lose bolt or in the plastic some where . That going to be a tricky fix . They will need to start taking dash parts off in that area. I work on cars 45 years body and mechanical . So i know those kind of noises are a pain . Good luck
Wide front tires are not that stable as a little narrower tires. Wide tires do not track well.
Yeah definitely!
I will say this it’s super easy to knock an electronic steering rack out of alignment
When people pay for youtube premium to avoid ads and you still get in video ads
If only there was a way to not complain about someone trying to make a living and instead use fast forward if they weren't interested...what a concept
I've put more than that in 1 year, just maintenance ..no problems.
I mean you shouldn’t expect reliability out of a Hellcat. The CEL has always come on for every single one produced in existence.
You shouldnt have that creaking sound. Its too bad its not under the warranty anymore. I'd bring it back. My Scat has been good other than the battery being weak at times.
😲I thought i was tripping about the sterling wheel not being 100% centered
Haha seems like a somewhat common issue
@@SchwayZ great Video Fam. I watched your reviews on the HC before i pulle a the trigger. Thank you for that 🙌🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@@Groux504 Awesome! Glad you found it helpful and thanks for supporting the channel!
Dude I’ve never talked to a service advisor who WASNT a dick so nothing new there

Hahahah no comment!
@SchwayZ 😂😂 sorry man had me dying over here 💀💀
@@fstgatotv haha 😂
At the end of the no matter what the car does it has its on personally! We just have to enjoy the ride 💪
Exactly!
Nice video bro, crazy issues that you had for your car, yeah sound like mine when I had my brand new 2016 Charger RT Road & Track bought it brand new car didn’t even make it 25 days before the engine went out and more problems came up yeah I know I bought a lemon 🍋, but nice explanation and yeah nothing is perfect as long as it still puts a smile on your face your good, keep up the good work God Bless
Wow that's crazy man! Did the dealership end up buying it back under lemon law?? Yeah nothings perfect but it's a great car!
@@SchwayZ yeah after I did the lemon law they took it back, when they could of switched it in the first place but didn’t
@CraytonTv wow that's terrible man! Glad you're still a Mopar fan after that experience. Probably would have turned me off
@@SchwayZ yeah of course I am, like now I still want a TRX even if it’s a used one with low miles and the right price so the longer I’m patient I’ll find one.
@@CraytonTv totally! I'm sure one will come up at the right price eventually.
I have no problems with my hellcat at all I love it
Its bit stupid can't fined shop to do wheel alignment i actually did it my self useless people work in the garages
Do you want to sell it ?
Not at the moment. If I did sell it, it wouldn't be because of these few things. It would likely be because I'd like to try something different.
Get ajustable Camber Arms
Just get a c8 and never look back
2020 Boosted Mustang GT. See all kinds of MOPARs in my rear view mirror when they step up, even the cats get to visit Gabblebees. No problems so far 😁 Buy a ford!
You are very lucky, I've never heard of any Dodge going 500 miles without a break down. 😅😅😅
That’s just cheap dodge parts. These are sports cars not German/Japanese luxury.
Most of the parts are actually made in Germany if u didn't know
Anyone count the times he said $80k?
Typically if you buy a dodge as long as the car goes forward consider it a win because there total garbage
Shit box but cool car at same time.
Dude you have water spots all under the hood , meaning you have driven in the rain or snow!!🤷🏻♂️
You never washed your car? 😂
@@SchwayZ yes but I dry it off and wipe all the water down. Obviously you don’t take the time to do that. Why make a video with out first paying attention to detail?
@victorcamacho3368 yes I'm sure your car is spotless. I'm sure you lick the exhaust tips too
@@SchwayZ you’re response says it all , very immature. If you can’t take constructive criticism I can’t help you. ✌️
