Mike Probst no it’s not silly. Once you get a car over 500 horsepower. It’s INSANE DRIVING. But you have to be a car person to truly understand the emotion he puts into his car💯💯💯 I respect what he paid. It’s one of the many pleasures of life. When you have the money. Many dreams come true
Hate to defend this car, but people talking about what he's already replaced needs to understand that ANY car whether you build it or buy it at this level of performance is going to be this way. You will drink that much gas, you will go through tires/brakes that often and you have random things come up like over boosting and replacing the supercharger. I'm a mechanic, I've built a number of cars and if you want a 700+hp car, really anything over around 400 depending on the vehicle, this is the case. The car is doing fine, we'll see how they are after 100k but it takes balls to produce and warranty a car like this so good on Dodge.
Mac Sc see that’s a tricky question. If you go into a dealership or shop for one online everyone says cobra. It’s a Mustang with its own separate identity. Like the hellcat isn’t a charger/challenger (even though it is) it’s in its own separate marketing class. I think the name just holds weight like when talking to the guys at work. My buddy has a Mustang doesn’t sound as intimidating as my buddy has a cobra.

My stock auto Hellcat averages 13mpg, I enjoy my cat but don't abuse. The only issue Ive had was a right fuel rail sensor failed, which the powertrain did not cover. Stock power feels pleny strong and satisfying 1st-4th imo but needs a drag radial to properly put the power down. I dont spend nearly as much as this guy, as I'm still on the original factory tires, brake pads. I also have a tesla 3PD so only drive the hellcat a couple times a week. Actually besides the worse fuel economy my Hellcat has cost about the same as my prior scatpack. The insurance is about the same and the overal cost between the scat and hellcat has been similar. I bought the scatpack new and the Hellcat slightly used at a similar cost. Ive had my hellcat almost 2 years.A lightly used Hellcat can be had for around 45-50k and is one on of the best bangs for the buck out there currently imo. Big power can be added reliably for little cost as well. If you dont have to have a manual, defintely go with the charger HC.

my friends have challengers (of course I'm the odd man out with the silver fighter jet looking 02 camaro) They complain about things like the windows not shutting.. If anyone doesn't know when you open the door on a challenger the window opens slightly automatically then closes again when you shut the door, their doors don't work right anymore so the windows stay open just enough to whistle and give wind noise over 50mph.. one of the challengers blew its engine about 20k miles, HOWEVER Chrysler replaced it for free.. all fine now, no issues. I love to have a hellcat because I'm used to the wind noise with the camaro, but god dam 5-10 mpg lol.. the Camaro gets 30mpg til you put your foot in it plus I believe has a 16 gallon tank like the challengers, so the range on the challenger must be pull in every gas station idk. Outstanding & well done video. 👍 I've been a Hellcat owner since 2015. Proudly own 2, Challenger & Charger since 2016. Yes, I too had the supercharger replaced on the Challenger, but aside from that, rock solid cars! 😃 ~ 30k miles between the two.😃

This is the kind of hellcat owner you dont wanna be, beat the hell out of it once he got it and didnt wait 10k miles to do engine work on it, has spent thousands of money on gas. Man I sure hope this guy has money for retirement because this car has been making all kinds of holes in his pockets!!
Nick Nicky do you know this guy? Do you know his life? Do you know how deep his pockets are? If not, quiet down.
Pretty silly to go through tires and brakes that often.
Mike Probst you wouldn’t know about that fast life
Performance tires and brakes don't last that long lol one reason i sold my vette and went back to my mustang, so much cheaper to own
Mike Probst no it’s not silly. Once you get a car over 500 horsepower. It’s INSANE DRIVING. But you have to be a car person to truly understand the emotion he puts into his car💯💯💯 I respect what he paid. It’s one of the many pleasures of life. When you have the money. Many dreams come true
No it's not
Mike Probst that’s what happens when you actually go fast
Great video! Happy to see that you drive the car like it is meant to be driven.
Hellcat: When you want to spend $20 in gas every trip to the grocery store
I love my mustangs.. But these challengers are keeping American muscle alive. I hope Ford will do the same with the next generation
RJ 97 have you seen the mustang mach e? 🤦🏻♂️
AmericanGTS okay you don’t like the mustang we get it
Do you count the Shelby GT500 as a mustang?
Mac Sc see that’s a tricky question. If you go into a dealership or shop for one online everyone says cobra. It’s a Mustang with its own separate identity. Like the hellcat isn’t a charger/challenger (even though it is) it’s in its own separate marketing class. I think the name just holds weight like when talking to the guys at work. My buddy has a Mustang doesn’t sound as intimidating as my buddy has a cobra.
This was a very informative video. Thanks for showing me I definitely can not afford a hellcat 😂😂😂😂
Noah Escalera 😂😂😂😂
I just bought a hellcat at the end of December. I'm driving in rain and snow and I love it. 1200 miles in two weeks
I bought a 2013 civic si with 38k miles which came with new tires and it now has 81k miles over a 4 year time span and I still have the same tires 😂😂😂
I have a extremely rare Crosstour Type R--39k and only in the shop for oil changes--I also have 38k--and I am on my second set of tires. The tires that came with the car stock were not designed for the upgrades and shredded the fron tires at 10k.But I had money and bought Zr rated 60k tires and have 20k on them and they are at 75%--you can check my vids out if you click my name.I am putting a new video up now to showcase my exhaust> have the uber reliable 3.5 and had the car made to run in the silver state classic--no turbos or superchargers to heat the engine up.I also pay get this--600 a year for full car insurance--100 dollar deductible.I also have carbon ceramic brakes and Type R Honda Racing rotors.Brake pads have 25 k on them and are at 90%.Car brakes so good that I have never had the ABS go on and I test it in the winter each year to make sure it works.

I like how it's said how well the car has held together especially how hard homeboy drives it. Then the hood goes up and we find out the entire suspension has been replaced as well as the supercharger. Not exactly holding together especially @only 50k miles.

I want a hellcat but im afraid to take it to a drag strip cause all ive been seeing is stock diffs cracking/braking and drive shafts snapping
That’s why I have an SXT lol. Awesome looking car love it and can still step on it often without refilling everyday. But even us V6 drivers wish we had v8s sometimes lol. Awesome video!
Vrsacee _ your gay for having a V6
Ohhh that’s why you don’t have a Hellcat. Not the monthly payment or insurance or anything
Or u can’t afford it
My stock auto Hellcat averages 13mpg, I enjoy my cat but don't abuse.

You are clearly not a car guy 😂
Aint nobody tryna spend half a check on gas every month
It's not fair for you guys to keep comparing Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and the likes with Dodge Challenger Hellcat or any of those high performance vehicles. The idea, mindset and the technology and investments behind building these high energy cars is absolutely different from those of the Civics and Corollas. These cars do not drive as fast, burn rubbers, command respects, not high performance driving oriented and definitely do not put a big smile or grin on your face like Scatpack and Hellcats. Nobody looks forward to driving a Civic or Corolla on their weekends or vacation days if they have a choice and definitely nobody gets as much excited driving a Civic or Corolla. That being said; fun, excitements and performance come at higher prices. Just enjoy your lives if you can afford one of those Dodge cars. Beautiful video. Valuable content. Thanks Rush. my friends have challengers (of course I'm the odd man out with the silver fighter jet looking 02 camaro) They complain about things like the windows not shutting..
