I'm a track guy. So I like light cars and cornering. But I truly do respect Dodge as a brand. They really are keeping the good 'ol Murican heritage in their line. And I really love how they're helping to keep the desire for high horsepower, internal combustion engines in the market today, when everyone else is moving to lifeless, boring electric cars. God bless Chrysler brother!

@@islami658 SRT as a brand was distributed throughout Stellantis (Dodge's new parent company). However, they did not say that they were going to stop making SRT vehicles, the badge and trim level itself is still going to be around, and the engineers are still working on varying products; however, there just isn't a concentrated team on it (like Ford with SVT).
@@zommergames3972 they were not “distributed”. The srt division was already divided. If the engineer worked on jeeps they simply went to those offices. It is so they are in the division that they were already assigned to. They were not just spread across the earth.

What I meant was the concentrated SRT engineers were no longer just that (yes, they had their own offices, etc.) the were distributed to the respective brands in Stellantis for a more 'efficient' system (like SVT with Ford as I said before). I think you and I are on the same page, but my wording may have thrown you off.

Just a tip, I own a 2020 Hellcat with summer performance tires on it and have 0 problems driving in the rain. You just can't floor it, drive it like a normal mom suv and you're completely safe and wont even notice any traction issues.
With Bridgestone Blizzak tires I used to drive my 300 SRT (500HP) all through the Canadian winter. Tires make the difference. If you can afford the FatCat you can afford the tires I'm sure.

At the end of my 750+ mile trip from Vegas to El Paso I showed 25.8 mpg doing between 65mph to 70mph using cruise as much as I could in eco mode. This was in my 21 Charger Hellcat widebody.

@@tr3ynag4ta picked up a low mile scat with a sc, has more hp than a stock hellcat, just have good insurance, crunched the front end on a large pile of road debris, front bump and fender etc. About 12k to fix. Insurance is a lifesaver.

@@tupapi121322 traction all matters on the tire. I run MT 315/35/20’s and I almost get no spin whatsoever. And yes I agree on the sound. Quiet when needed but it’ll roar when you want it to
These are things scat pack owners say when they don't have a hellcat 😂 Trust me I know. I had a scat and told myself the same thing, then I traded mine in for a hellcat. You would be surprised how often you can actually use this cars FULL power. And it feels GOOD...!!!

I been wantin a SRT8 since 2010. When Dodge put out the Hellcat, i was obsessed. Now it’s my dream car legit, and I kno everyone else is like “Oh yea it’s overrated” and I say “yea kuz they see them in rap videos and other media, I always wanted a SRT for the longest” I don’t want a Redeye either kuz Idc bout racing, I jus want my baby 💯😢 maybe a Demon doe lol, but after that, just a regular model and no widebody. If you got one of those, would it be your first 400+ horsepower car? Would it be a daily driver? If so, I'd suggest avoiding a Demon (at least for now). That's a lot of power, but with a higher price, lower gas mileage, and (probably) higher maintenance costs.
Personally, I get the feeling that an SRT8 would cover what you're looking for in a car. You could always put some of the money saved towards modifications AND -- if applicable -- pay off the loan a lot sooner (more money in your pocket rather than the lender's).

“Take off the splitter gaurds” so many Chargers and Challengers don't have this removed! BUT.... having said that.... the yellow stripe along the bottom looks really cool! Someone should just make a proper version of this thing that works with the splitter, probably a good market for them. :D

Any recomendation of what to buy or what is the diferences between a GT, SRT and all the other classes the challenger has, or just buy another car. I have been moving around in taxis and buses. TY
I work at a dodge dealership body shop . They always need quarter panels due to driver error so you might want to check the quarter trough for the factory resistance welds . They are also super easy to break into with a flat head screwdriver (chargers too)so heads up.

Fun fact. The Splitter Guards on the Dodge Challengers DON’T damage anything by not being removed. The splitter isn’t carbon, or painted, or any finished surface. It’s a plastic splitter that is easily scrapeable so the guards actually DO help on a challenger. Hate to break it to y’all 😂.

Man I am so torn on getting a hellcat or a 6th gen camaro. I know how to keep up the chevy like the back of my hand but Chrysler/dodge has not been kind to me in the past.
That camaro won't put a smile on your face like a hellcat will. Period. I mean NONE of the camaros.
It all depends on what you want. The Hellcat is more spacious, nicer and comfier on the inside, and easier to see out of. It's also bigger and doesn't give a damn about corners. The Camaro on the other hand is a purpose built sports car. It takes corners better than most other cars on the road and feels better to drive aggressively with better steering, brakes, chassis balance, etc.
My plan is to maybe start with a regular challenger, and if I like it and can afford it, sell that and get the hellcat.
Would need a second car though for the winter though. Would have to get that first.
All goes wrong I get a Porsche from early 2000 and get a Honda crv.
Or end up coming out of the car in a body bag… 😶

Couldn't afford insurance on a $70K+ hellcat. Hell, full coverage insurance on my 2019 scatpack charger is $285 a MONTH, with $250 deductible, for a car worth $45K new when I bought her in April 2019.

I have a Scat pack that will run 0-60 in 3.9. 305 in rear and 275 up front, lower hellcat intake box with direct port. Love my shit. Night rider. Cant say it enough.
