So here are my opinions for these episodes: Little Miss Interprets: I'm fine with this one. I don't think the girls were overreacting in this episode because anyone would be upset if they think they're getting replaced. Besides, I did feel bad for the girls in this. A Made Up Story: It's okay, but Blossom being too arrogant and dumb is something I didn't like in this episode. Burglar Alarmed: It's good Roughing It Up: Haven't seen that episode so I don't have an opinion on that one. Not So Awesome Blossom: It's a good episode. It shows that Blossom isn't always a perfect leader. Remember when Spongebob lost his confidence over a Krabby Patty? It's basically the same here. Girls Gone Mild: It's a boring episode, also I don't get why everyone in Townsville signed a petition to forbid the girls from using their powers when their town deals with supervillians almost everyday. Nuthin Special: It's a wasted thing. How could they not come up with a special power for Buttercup, also we only see powers that never appear again after this. Sun Scream: Why was this made? Toast of the Town: Mayor is such a whiny crybaby in this Pee Pee G's: It's decent with some funny moments

Bubblevicious is another one of my favorite episodes and I actually really like Twisted Sister. I do agree that the poor Buttercup treatment is an issue but that’s a topic for another day. 💙💖
I could kinda understand why you don’t like it if it’s because the professor punishes the girls but I think it was a lot better in terms of writing this type of plot than other episodes that are about manipulation
I hate Sweet n Sour that Episode pisses me off when i was a kid it still does ,the ending fell a bit weak like the cute critter get cuddle by a bunch of kindergarten , REALLY? That the punishment they got for literally being a criminal!?!
Valen Arts Animation For me Sweet N Sour is on the line between traditional bad nothing more to it and guilty pleasure. I could actually see something like this working well but it was just flimsily done. Although the punishment is kinda fitting because the girls took advantage of their cuteness and played the reverse card on them. Also I like the stuffed animal bit with Bubbles at the beginning. Also I think the animals are a little cute I’m basically Bubbles in this episode. 💙

Not gonna lie. This is our 1st time actually seeing blossom cry in the episode. We only got 3 episodes where blossom cries in Ploys r us, little miss interprets, and the city of frownsville (I havent watched it yet).

My least favorite is Collect Her. I think it’s just weird and creepy for a guy to collect powerpuff merch😖 Edit: I rewatched the episode and I see why people like that episode. It’s so good!
Hey people are allowed to like things as long as you don’t go to the obsessive level. Lenny went there. Collecting things is perfectly fine but this episode is a reminder that too much of a good thing is never a good thing. And yeah some people get weird with shows but sometimes people just like a show nothing more to it.
I actually really liked that one. Yeah, Lenny is a creep, but I loved how the Professor and everyone in the city came to the girls rescue when they noticed they were missing. Also, love the scene where Lenny starts freaking out when Professor and all the kids of Townsville start ripping open all the PPG merchandise toys to force him to tell him where the girls are. Professor’s whole speech about what true fandom is was actually really great.
Nuthin' Special I thought had a few witty interactions between the girls, and Burglar Alarmed was a pretty fun episode too, even if it was on the more mundane side.
To be fair to Nuthin' Special, I truly think the tacos joke was hilarious. Bubbles: (cheerfully) Hey, I know! Let's all go out for tacos! Buttercup: (enraged at her lack of a special power) *NOOOO!* Bubbles: (truly hurt and misunderstanding the source of Buttercup's outrage) But I like tacos!
Yeah, the writing in that episode by Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust made the entire Utonium family look very uncharacteristically despicable at one point or another, and for no other reason than to turn Buttercup into the villain and the punching bag to teach her a lesson in the most ridiculously cruel and hypocritical way possible. Luckily, it is one of those episodes that NEVER got mentioned or referenced in the og canon PPG cartoon ever again. Still, I think that other fictional characters from other cartoons have gotten a mean-spirited overkill of the butt-monkey and/or disproportionate retribution tropes on their respective shows WAY MORE FREQUENTLY and WAY WORSE than Buttercup did in the classic PPG cartoon, such as Squidward and Plankton from SpongeBob Squarepants in later seasons after the first 2002 movie, Timmy Turner from The Fairly Oddparents at times, Bart Simpson from The Simpsons when he had centrics, Meg Griffin from Family Guy 99% of the time after the first three seasons for simply existing. For the most part, Buttercup in the OG was usually treated pretty fairly in comparison to her sisters, and she generally had a pretty good life with her family. The only times her relationships with her family and/or the city became uncharacteristically and/or sometimes exceedingly cold, cruel, dysfunctional, harsh, or hypocritical was when she had centrics at times, and while it was sometimes too harsh, to be fair, she often did do something to get in trouble. And even at their most ooc, her family still never set her up to get murdered, left her for dead, or told her they didn’t love her. Her dad never outright abused her, strangled her, told her she was worthless, told her he didn’t love her, or completely refused to spend time with her by excluding her from activities and family outings with her and her sisters. Yeah, there were some hints that he may have had a softer spot for Blossom and Bubbles, but it was usually pretty clear that he loved Buttercup too. The Professor’s characterization, Blossom’s characterization, Bubbles characterization, and Buttercup’s characterizations were all completely wrong in that episode, but even then, he still took Buttercup to the dentist to get her teeth fixed. But if there is one episode from classic PPG that was just *unforgivably bad *to me, I agree that it was “Moral Decay.” There was just no reason for its existence at all, and it’s better to just pretend it never happened, which, thankfully, is exactly what the writers did on the show after airing it.
Want a better version of "Little Miss Interprets"? Watch "Substitute Creature". It sucks that Blossom is your least favorite Puff because at her best, she's a very smart, brave, and capable leader. Just watch how she calmly and systematically tears apart Princess in "Stuck Up Up and Away" just for one example. But then again, she does have her moments of being a diva, or a know-it-all or a little-miss-perfect and I get it. She has Ls. "Fallen Arches", "A Very Special Blossom", "Not so Awesome Blossom", and "Made Up Story". That hose joke was kinda funny, but they used the wrong character. Shouldn't Bubbles be the one naively banging Buttercup on the head with the hose, and Blossom pointing out, "I meant, use the _water."_ That joke reminded me of the one in Spongebob where Patrick said, "We're not cavemen! We have technology!" Then beats the crap out of Mr. Krabs' dollar bill with a computer. I actually really like Burglar Alarmed. It's a cute one. The guy really _didn't_ deserve to be tormented by the Puffs, since he really did come off as a sweet, if foolish type of character. He treated the girls very gently, when he first met them, and he came across as a burglar who would not harm children. But then again, there are worse episodes in that regard, like how sweet little Billy was treated in Slave the Day, or how the clown was beat up in Mime for a Change. Even Mojo got treated like shit when he babysat the girls, even though he did go out of his way to feed and entertain them. He even agreed to a bedtime story if only it would shut them up, so yeah. So yet again, Buttercup is put into a negative light even when she's only trying to step up and pick up Blossom's _slack_ in "Not so Awesome Blossom". Why am I not surprised? This goes all the way back to "Octi Evil". Him actually had a point when he said, "Blossom's _not_ always right, you know." Why is it such a big deal for someone else to be the leader once in a while, either? Why does that spot have to be _solely_ designated for Blossom? Her other teammates have ideas too. Girls Gone Mild could've been a pretty funny parody of the FCC like Family Guy did. But yeah, the pacing is atrocious. Buttercup has THE WORST sisters ever in Nuthin' Special. I mean, you'd think they'd show a little sympathy for Buttercup and try to be, oh I don't know, _helpful?_ But instead, they spent the entire episode smugly rubbing this insecurity in her face, paying absolutely no regard to the property damage they cause in the process. I mean seriously, I know the girls smash up the city saving the day all the time, but not on purpose, and not for pure showmanship of all things. Sun Scream is a whole bunch of BULLSHIT. These are the same girls who have survived acid, gamma rays, radiation, being inside a volcano, and direct flames, yet you're telling me they're gonna suffer a _sunburn_ of all things from a solar flare? Get the f outta here! Wanna see the Mayor act like a spoiled baby and speak like a toddler for 11 minutes? Watch Toast of the Town! Alright, in my humble opinion, Pee Pee Gs is overhated. Now don't get me wrong, it's not good. Not at all. But there is so much worse. No, what makes Pee Pee Gs bad is that the potty humor goes WAY. TOO. FAR. How many times do we have to hear a nonstop loop of "You're in a lotta trouble Sony" (Get it?? Because "you're in" sounds like "urine"?? HA HA!!) before the writers realize we get the point and it wasn't funny the first time? Then we bare witness to a monkey pissing himself on the Powerpuff's bed? Yeah, because that's classy. Also, don't these girls have any common sense? Shouldn't they question the fact that their bed is wet, but nothing else is? Their clothes aren't wet? I mean if you piss yourself, you usually have wet undergarments. But the girls are totally dry. That should've been red flag number one.
rhonda howard agreed Substitute Creature is a much better episode than Little Miss Interprets. I also hate how Billy was treated in Slave the Day because he genuinely cared about the girls and he proved himself to be pretty loyal. Blossom shouldn’t have snapped at him like that especially because her breaking point was him destroying a bunch of buildings to stop the bad guy when the girls do that all the time when crime fighting. And in Child Fearing Mojo was up to no good and I give that episode a pass because Mojo is the girls’ arch enemy and actually should know not to mess with them but he does whereas the guy in Burglar Alarmed didn’t know who the girls were at all. As for Sun Scream I did forget to mention that argument in that entry but it is a worthy argument. I like to think of it as the radiation from the sun caused some sort of chemical reaction but that’s just my interpretation and I know it’s not perfect. And Pee Pee Gs has the gross potty humor, the sheer idiocy of the girls, the unpleasantness of the girls fighting and them making such a mountain out of a molehill along with all the other worst aspects of the last 2 seasons compiled into one episode. As for Nuthin Special yeah the girls definitely were so reckless in that episode and it’s not like they were fighting a monster or anything just selfishly showing off their pride. As for the girls being inconsiderate to Buttercup yeah I put more of the blame on Blossom because she seems like she’s going out of her way to brag right in Buttercup’s face whereas Bubbles doesn’t really intentionally show off aside from one face she makes. And I do agree with Buttercup being treated like garbage throughout the series. RUclipsr Umbra Magna goes into great detail about that. In Octi Evil I do agree Blossom isn’t always right. I still think Blossom is the perfect fit for the leader role but she should at least take her sisters’ ideas into consideration. Although I don’t hate Octi Evil because it’s actually pretty personal to me. I’ll be saving that episode for a solo review. As for Not So Awesome Blossom I actually somewhat changed my opinions on that episode in the sense I now have mixed feelings for it. Blossom in this episode is actually somewhat good because I actually would love to see a more vulnerable side of Blossom come into play because it shows how she’s not perfect and it would make her less of a stuck up little miss perfect. I only wish that it didn’t make Buttercup look like the bad guy for trying to help. All throughout this episode Blossom was struggling and showing off in the beginning and Buttercup was humble and more focused on helping the team than her image. She wasn’t really the best leader when Buttercup took over but at least she was trying to help as best she can. Yeah Buttercup isn’t perfect but neither is Blossom. These kinds of discussions should’ve been tackled in the series. Also I don’t completely hate Blossom she’s just my personal least favorite. That being said when she does have her good moments she’s pretty good.
@@HackiePuffs That threw me for a loop too! The whole movie was about the girls smashing up Townsville after a game of tag, and they know how it feels to be hated for something you didn't mean. So Blossom was a hypocrite to yell at Billy and then they didn't even apologize for hurting his feelings. Good news though! I actually think Child Fearing is hilarious, especially when it got to the Blarney Sea Serpent part. Mojo did kinda have it coming being an arch-nemesis and all but he put his heart and soul into that cooking! I'm a big sushi lover so seeing the girls just spit it out in his face was rude. Nuthin' Special had at least one funny line. "Hey I know, let's all go out for tacos!" "NOO!" (sadly)"But I like tacos." I've actually watched Umbra's videos and agree wholeheartedly with her points! I don't hate Octi Evil either. I only hate how _viciously_ Buttercup and Blossom fight in it. It goes under that "unpleasant to sit through" territory. Not bad but not fun. Also, zapping Buttercup for 'insubordination' was really cruel. Christ, does Blossom think she has henchmen or something? These are her _sisters!_ Blossom is a perfect fit for the leader role but she should be less close-minded is all. She can be a bit headstrong and prideful. In Bare Facts, her version of the story was all, _"I_ did this and _I_ did that". Not so Awesome Blossom is mostly good, and I like seeing Blossom vulnerable too. But the Professor was MASSIVELY OOC. I can't buy that he wouldn't care where his daughter got the golf clubs from. He's usually suspicious of that kind of stuff, like when he questioned where the girls got all their toys sternly in Ploys R Us. Also, Blossom sneakily never actually took accountability for her actions. "That's what drove me to crime" isn't good enough.
I got something else to add about "Octi Evil". Blossom is kind of a hypocrite, because in Powerpuff Bluff, when Bubbles was crying, and Buttercup told her to shut up, Blossom said and I quote, *"That's no way to talk to your sister."* Yet what's the first thing she shouts at Buttercup to do when they're back at home in Octi Evil? "SHUT UP BUTTERCUP!" Let's not forget another speech she made about peace in Los Dos Mojos: "As sisters we have an intrinsic duty to uphold peace, not just for the city of Townsville but amongst ourselves!" Yet all those times she argues with her sisters, she's not exactly keeping 'peace' now is she? Especially not in Moral Decay. She chides Buttercup for doing things the "violent way" in Dream Scheme, yet has no problem arranging for her sister to get jumped by every villain in Townsville. So yeah, hypocrisy thy name is Blossom.
rhonda howard yeah Blossom has A LOT of hypocritical moments and that’s another reason why I don’t like her. I have yet to read the fanfic but I will in my spare time. As for Blossom zapping Buttercup with her eye lasers yeah that’s a HUGE jerk move. Actually that’s an understatement. Blossom usually likes to stop Buttercup from doing things the violent way. Another thing I don’t think I mentioned when talking about Not So Awesome Blossom is the beginning. Well I mentioned the solution being so obvious but what Blossom did. She basically told her sisters to wait on the side just so she could have her own moment of glory. Just let that sink in.
It’s not necessarily unfair that Blossom gets her special power first but what is unfair is shoving her special power into the face of her sister who’s already feeling insecure about herself like a heartless jerk.
@@HackiePuffs I watch a RUclipsr called shadow streak where he reviews the reboot. And one episode was somewhat a rip off of that episode but bubbles and buttercup gets the power first. Problem? Blossom cries because she didnt get it and refuses to help. She then learns that its ok ONLY to get it at the end. Like what the heck.
I watch him too haha!!! And you’re talking about Power Up Puff. I actually think that episode is a lot better than Nuthin Special. Blossom’s feelings are valid and no one is making her feel even more insecure intentionally hint hint. And she learns that it’s okay to not have the same abilities as other people and what matters is her leadership. That’s one of my favorite episodes of the 2016 reboot actually despite me not being a mega fan of that series.
Well actually in the Not to Awesome Blossom episode I liked the ending with Mojo and Blossom getting the better over Mojo it kinda shows without Blossom's thinking they and the professor would probably be doomed to Mojo's plan when I saw it years ago.
I agree with most of these episodes being bad. My least favorite episodes (in no particular order) are: Sweet n' Sour Shut the Pup Up (if this took place before "Bubblevicious," than Bubbles beating up TD was justified) City of Frownsville Sun Scream Fallen Archs (if Blossom is concerned about beating up elderly villains, then she & her sisters could've just take the demented old coots back to the retirement home without fighting them) Town n Out Shotgun Wedding (not only did they made Fuzzy even more stupid than ever but also gross, along with the disturbing & later depressing ending) Toast of the Town Criss Cross Crisis (some of the body swaps were more disturbing than "funny", and I don't believe it's worthy for an Emmy nomination) Moral Decay (the comics did a MUCH better job of using the plot of Bubbles losing a tooth) The Mane Event Powerpuff Bluff Coupe de Dete (it would've been a decent episode if it wasn't for that stupid ending! K.A.R.R's "tragic" reason for being so possessive of the Professor is not THAT sad enough to make even Buttercup cry, he just used the Girls' words against them & he was never alive until the Professor installed the A.I. in him) Pee Pee Gs Girls Gone Mild (slow & boring) Daylight Savings (this would've worked if Townsville had backup heroes to handle the night-shift hours before Ms. Keane made that decision official) Lying Around (VeggieTales did it better) Say Uncle Made Up Story Bubblevision (Blossom & Buttercup shouldn't be making fun of Bubbles because she had to wear glasses! I’d still say the season three episode “Moral Decay” was the most UNFORGIVABLY AWFUL episode/segment of the classic PPG episode. Just WTF? Why did it ever even exist? It genuinely did cross the line of simply just being a bad episode, and genuinely became unforgivable. Everyone in the Utonium family was derailed into an utterly despicable pod!person at one point or another’s, and for no other reasons than to turn Buttercup into a sadistically greedy villain with a horrifying punishment, which her own sisters sadistically and vindictively planned, watched, and them self-righteously and unfairly got away with. The worst part is that atrocity was written by the series creator Craig McCracken and his wife Lauren Faust, and I have no idea WHY they thought writing “Moral Decay” was a good idea that would make any of the fans feel happy. I have no idea why a children’s TV network let that episode air on television. Granted, I get that those of us watching cartoons in the late 90s-early 2000s did tend to grow up in an era where cartoons were more violent and dark, but the og PPG cartoon still generally had a balance between light and dark that usually made its darkest moments feel justified in the end. Not in “Moral Decay,”‘though. All I felt after rewatching it as an adult recently in my mid twenties, was anger and disgust with the writers for completely derailing the Utonium family beyond redemption in “Moral Decay” for cheaply shocking, hypocritical, wildly ooc, and mean-spirited Buttercup vilification and punishment. I guess, if there was anything nice about “Moral Decay,” though, it’s the fact that it NEVER gets mentioned or referenced in the og series EVER again afterwards, so it’s pretty easy to pretend never happened.
I don’t really like that episode either but I feel like every Powerpuff Girls fan pretty much milked that episode dry so I don’t really have much else to cover.
@@HackiePuffs Yeah, I’m pretty sure, no matter who your favorite girl of the three is, most of us can agree that everyone in the Utonium family was so atrociously out of character at one point or another in the segment “Moral Decay,” and most of us hated that episode because of it. While what Buttercup did was reprehensible in that episode, and worthy of punishment, she didn’t deserve to have her own sisters turn against her like that to set up her punishment, then revel in her misery and suffering there at the end. Then, to have her dad show seeming indifference to Buttercup’s suffering at the dentist’s office. It just felt wrong. At best, we could assume the Professor never found out what Blossom and Bubbles did to Buttercup by setting her up to get her teeth knocked out as karma. At worst, we could assume he found out, and condones what Blossom and Bubbles did to Buttercup. Either way, while he does have every right to be disappointed in Buttercup for what she did in “Moral Decay,” he just seems to give off this vibe that he doesn’t care that one of his daughters got most of her teeth knocked out, and must be in serious pain, which is also so WILDLY OOC for a cartoon dad, who NORMALLY was a very caring, kind, loving, protective, and selfless one to the girls otherwise, sometimes to the point of overdoing it.

But it's been years since I've seen it so I might be off but I definitely do remember Femme Fatale getting punished in the end
My least favorate episodes. Catastrophe the stupid blob lost his cat laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame, and Live and Let Dynamo all that build put to one joke that was ridiculous, Toast of the Town do you want to here Mayor want toast for 8 minjutes straight. I love all the other episodes on this list.

Not So Awesome Blossom: It's a good episode. It shows that Blossom isn't always a perfect leader. Remember when Spongebob lost his confidence over a Krabby Patty? It's basically the same here.
Girls Gone Mild: It's a boring episode, also I don't get why everyone in Townsville signed a petition to forbid the girls from using their powers when their town deals with supervillians almost everyday.
Nuthin Special: It's a wasted thing. How could they not come up with a special power for Buttercup, also we only see powers that never appear again after this.

Valen Arts Animation For me Sweet N Sour is on the line between traditional bad nothing more to it and guilty pleasure. I could actually see something like this working well but it was just flimsily done. Although the punishment is kinda fitting because the girls took advantage of their cuteness and played the reverse card on them. Also I like the stuffed animal bit with Bubbles at the beginning. Also I think the animals are a little cute I’m basically Bubbles in this episode. 💙

Hey people are allowed to like things as long as you don’t go to the obsessive level. Lenny went there. Collecting things is perfectly fine but this episode is a reminder that too much of a good thing is never a good thing. And yeah some people get weird with shows but sometimes people just like a show nothing more to it.
I actually really liked that one. Yeah, Lenny is a creep, but I loved how the Professor and everyone in the city came to the girls rescue when they noticed they were missing.
Also, love the scene where Lenny starts freaking out when Professor and all the kids of Townsville start ripping open all the PPG merchandise toys to force him to tell him where the girls are. Professor’s whole speech about what true fandom is was actually really great.

Nuthin' Special I thought had a few witty interactions between the girls, and Burglar Alarmed was a pretty fun episode too, even if it was on the more mundane side.
To be fair to Nuthin' Special, I truly think the tacos joke was hilarious.
Bubbles: (cheerfully) Hey, I know! Let's all go out for tacos!
Buttercup: (enraged at her lack of a special power) *NOOOO!*
Bubbles: (truly hurt and misunderstanding the source of Buttercup's outrage) But I like tacos!
My least favorite is Moral Decay not only is it bad, but it’s also insulting.
I do have my thoughts on that episode but 1. Umbra Magna covered it pretty well and 2. I have no idea how I wanna tackle that episode yet
Yeah, the writing in that episode by Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust made the entire Utonium family look very uncharacteristically despicable at one point or another, and for no other reason than to turn Buttercup into the villain and the punching bag to teach her a lesson in the most ridiculously cruel and hypocritical way possible.
Luckily, it is one of those episodes that NEVER got mentioned or referenced in the og canon PPG cartoon ever again.
Still, I think that other fictional characters from other cartoons have gotten a mean-spirited overkill of the butt-monkey and/or disproportionate retribution tropes on their respective shows WAY MORE FREQUENTLY and WAY WORSE than Buttercup did in the classic PPG cartoon, such as Squidward and Plankton from SpongeBob Squarepants in later seasons after the first 2002 movie, Timmy Turner from The Fairly Oddparents at times, Bart Simpson from The Simpsons when he had centrics, Meg Griffin from Family Guy 99% of the time after the first three seasons for simply existing.
For the most part, Buttercup in the OG was usually treated pretty fairly in comparison to her sisters, and she generally had a pretty good life with her family. The only times her relationships with her family and/or the city became uncharacteristically and/or sometimes exceedingly cold, cruel, dysfunctional, harsh, or hypocritical was when she had centrics at times, and while it was sometimes too harsh, to be fair, she often did do something to get in trouble.
And even at their most ooc, her family still never set her up to get murdered, left her for dead, or told her they didn’t love her. Her dad never outright abused her, strangled her, told her she was worthless, told her he didn’t love her, or completely refused to spend time with her by excluding her from activities and family outings with her and her sisters. Yeah, there were some hints that he may have had a softer spot for Blossom and Bubbles, but it was usually pretty clear that he loved Buttercup too.
The Professor’s characterization, Blossom’s characterization, Bubbles characterization, and Buttercup’s characterizations were all completely wrong in that episode, but even then, he still took Buttercup to the dentist to get her teeth fixed.
But if there is one episode from classic PPG that was just *unforgivably bad *to me, I agree that it was “Moral Decay.” There was just no reason for its existence at all, and it’s better to just pretend it never happened, which, thankfully, is exactly what the writers did on the show after airing it.

It sucks that Blossom is your least favorite Puff because at her best, she's a very smart, brave, and capable leader. Just watch how she calmly and systematically tears apart Princess in "Stuck Up Up and Away" just for one example.
But then again, she does have her moments of being a diva, or a know-it-all or a little-miss-perfect and I get it. She has Ls. "Fallen Arches", "A Very Special Blossom", "Not so Awesome Blossom", and "Made Up Story".
That hose joke was kinda funny, but they used the wrong character. Shouldn't Bubbles be the one naively banging Buttercup on the head with the hose, and Blossom pointing out, "I meant, use the _water."_
That joke reminded me of the one in Spongebob where Patrick said, "We're not cavemen! We have technology!" Then beats the crap out of Mr. Krabs' dollar bill with a computer.
I actually really like Burglar Alarmed. It's a cute one. The guy really _didn't_ deserve to be tormented by the Puffs, since he really did come off as a sweet, if foolish type of character. He treated the girls very gently, when he first met them, and he came across as a burglar who would not harm children. But then again, there are worse episodes in that regard, like how sweet little Billy was treated in Slave the Day, or how the clown was beat up in Mime for a Change. Even Mojo got treated like shit when he babysat the girls, even though he did go out of his way to feed and entertain them. He even agreed to a bedtime story if only it would shut them up, so yeah.
So yet again, Buttercup is put into a negative light even when she's only trying to step up and pick up Blossom's _slack_ in "Not so Awesome Blossom". Why am I not surprised? This goes all the way back to "Octi Evil". Him actually had a point when he said, "Blossom's _not_ always right, you know." Why is it such a big deal for someone else to be the leader once in a while, either? Why does that spot have to be _solely_ designated for Blossom? Her other teammates have ideas too.
Girls Gone Mild could've been a pretty funny parody of the FCC like Family Guy did. But yeah, the pacing is atrocious.
Buttercup has THE WORST sisters ever in Nuthin' Special. I mean, you'd think they'd show a little sympathy for Buttercup and try to be, oh I don't know, _helpful?_ But instead, they spent the entire episode smugly rubbing this insecurity in her face, paying absolutely no regard to the property damage they cause in the process. I mean seriously, I know the girls smash up the city saving the day all the time, but not on purpose, and not for pure showmanship of all things.
Sun Scream is a whole bunch of BULLSHIT. These are the same girls who have survived acid, gamma rays, radiation, being inside a volcano, and direct flames, yet you're telling me they're gonna suffer a _sunburn_ of all things from a solar flare? Get the f outta here!

Alright, in my humble opinion, Pee Pee Gs is overhated. Now don't get me wrong, it's not good. Not at all. But there is so much worse. No, what makes Pee Pee Gs bad is that the potty humor goes WAY. TOO. FAR. How many times do we have to hear a nonstop loop of "You're in a lotta trouble Sony" (Get it?? Because "you're in" sounds like "urine"?? HA HA!!) before the writers realize we get the point and it wasn't funny the first time? Then we bare witness to a monkey pissing himself on the Powerpuff's bed? Yeah, because that's classy. Also, don't these girls have any common sense? Shouldn't they question the fact that their bed is wet, but nothing else is? Their clothes aren't wet? I mean if you piss yourself, you usually have wet undergarments. But the girls are totally dry. That should've been red flag number one.
rhonda howard agreed Substitute Creature is a much better episode than Little Miss Interprets. I also hate how Billy was treated in Slave the Day because he genuinely cared about the girls and he proved himself to be pretty loyal. Blossom shouldn’t have snapped at him like that especially because her breaking point was him destroying a bunch of buildings to stop the bad guy when the girls do that all the time when crime fighting. And in Child Fearing Mojo was up to no good and I give that episode a pass because Mojo is the girls’ arch enemy and actually should know not to mess with them but he does whereas the guy in Burglar Alarmed didn’t know who the girls were at all. As for Sun Scream I did forget to mention that argument in that entry but it is a worthy argument. I like to think of it as the radiation from the sun caused some sort of chemical reaction but that’s just my interpretation and I know it’s not perfect. And Pee Pee Gs has the gross potty humor, the sheer idiocy of the girls, the unpleasantness of the girls fighting and them making such a mountain out of a molehill along with all the other worst aspects of the last 2 seasons compiled into one episode. As for Nuthin Special yeah the girls definitely were so reckless in that episode and it’s not like they were fighting a monster or anything just selfishly showing off their pride. As for the girls being inconsiderate to Buttercup yeah I put more of the blame on Blossom because she seems like she’s going out of her way to brag right in Buttercup’s face whereas Bubbles doesn’t really intentionally show off aside from one face she makes. And I do agree with Buttercup being treated like garbage throughout the series. RUclipsr Umbra Magna goes into great detail about that. In Octi Evil I do agree Blossom isn’t always right. I still think Blossom is the perfect fit for the leader role but she should at least take her sisters’ ideas into consideration. Although I don’t hate Octi Evil because it’s actually pretty personal to me. I’ll be saving that episode for a solo review. As for Not So Awesome Blossom I actually somewhat changed my opinions on that episode in the sense I now have mixed feelings for it. Blossom in this episode is actually somewhat good because I actually would love to see a more vulnerable side of Blossom come into play because it shows how she’s not perfect and it would make her less of a stuck up little miss perfect. I only wish that it didn’t make Buttercup look like the bad guy for trying to help. All throughout this episode Blossom was struggling and showing off in the beginning and Buttercup was humble and more focused on helping the team than her image. She wasn’t really the best leader when Buttercup took over but at least she was trying to help as best she can. Yeah Buttercup isn’t perfect but neither is Blossom. These kinds of discussions should’ve been tackled in the series. Also I don’t completely hate Blossom she’s just my personal least favorite. That being said when she does have her good moments she’s pretty good.
@@HackiePuffs That threw me for a loop too! The whole movie was about the girls smashing up Townsville after a game of tag, and they know how it feels to be hated for something you didn't mean. So Blossom was a hypocrite to yell at Billy and then they didn't even apologize for hurting his feelings. Good news though! There's actually a fanfiction that fixes the ending:

I actually think Child Fearing is hilarious, especially when it got to the Blarney Sea Serpent part. Mojo did kinda have it coming being an arch-nemesis and all but he put his heart and soul into that cooking! I'm a big sushi lover so seeing the girls just spit it out in his face was rude.
Nuthin' Special had at least one funny line.

I don't hate Octi Evil either. I only hate how _viciously_ Buttercup and Blossom fight in it. It goes under that "unpleasant to sit through" territory. Not bad but not fun. Also, zapping Buttercup for 'insubordination' was really cruel. Christ, does Blossom think she has henchmen or something? These are her _sisters!_
Blossom is a perfect fit for the leader role but she should be less close-minded is all. She can be a bit headstrong and prideful. In Bare Facts, her version of the story was all, _"I_ did this and _I_ did that".
Not so Awesome Blossom is mostly good, and I like seeing Blossom vulnerable too. But the Professor was MASSIVELY OOC. I can't buy that he wouldn't care where his daughter got the golf clubs from. He's usually suspicious of that kind of stuff, like when he questioned where the girls got all their toys sternly in Ploys R Us. Also, Blossom sneakily never actually took accountability for her actions. "That's what drove me to crime" isn't good enough.

I got something else to add about "Octi Evil". Blossom is kind of a hypocrite, because in Powerpuff Bluff, when Bubbles was crying, and Buttercup told her to shut up, Blossom said and I quote, *"That's no way to talk to your sister."* Yet what's the first thing she shouts at Buttercup to do when they're back at home in Octi Evil? "SHUT UP BUTTERCUP!"
Let's not forget another speech she made about peace in Los Dos Mojos: "As sisters we have an intrinsic duty to uphold peace, not just for the city of Townsville but amongst ourselves!" Yet all those times she argues with her sisters, she's not exactly keeping 'peace' now is she? Especially not in Moral Decay. She chides Buttercup for doing things the "violent way" in Dream Scheme, yet has no problem arranging for her sister to get jumped by every villain in Townsville.
So yeah, hypocrisy thy name is Blossom.
rhonda howard yeah Blossom has A LOT of hypocritical moments and that’s another reason why I don’t like her. I have yet to read the fanfic but I will in my spare time. As for Blossom zapping Buttercup with her eye lasers yeah that’s a HUGE jerk move. Actually that’s an understatement. Blossom usually likes to stop Buttercup from doing things the violent way. Another thing I don’t think I mentioned when talking about Not So Awesome Blossom is the beginning. Well I mentioned the solution being so obvious but what Blossom did. She basically told her sisters to wait on the side just so she could have her own moment of glory. Just let that sink in.

@@HackiePuffs I watch a RUclipsr called shadow streak where he reviews the reboot. And one episode was somewhat a rip off of that episode but bubbles and buttercup gets the power first. Problem? Blossom cries because she didnt get it and refuses to help. She then learns that its ok ONLY to get it at the end. Like what the heck.
I watch him too haha!!! And you’re talking about Power Up Puff. I actually think that episode is a lot better than Nuthin Special. Blossom’s feelings are valid and no one is making her feel even more insecure intentionally hint hint. And she learns that it’s okay to not have the same abilities as other people and what matters is her leadership. That’s one of my favorite episodes of the 2016 reboot actually despite me not being a mega fan of that series.

I’d still say the season three episode “Moral Decay” was the most UNFORGIVABLY AWFUL episode/segment of the classic PPG episode. Just WTF? Why did it ever even exist? It genuinely did cross the line of simply just being a bad episode, and genuinely became unforgivable. Everyone in the Utonium family was derailed into an utterly despicable pod!person at one point or another’s, and for no other reasons than to turn Buttercup into a sadistically greedy villain with a horrifying punishment, which her own sisters sadistically and vindictively planned, watched, and them self-righteously and unfairly got away with.
The worst part is that atrocity was written by the series creator Craig McCracken and his wife Lauren Faust, and I have no idea WHY they thought writing “Moral Decay” was a good idea that would make any of the fans feel happy. I have no idea why a children’s TV network let that episode air on television. Granted, I get that those of us watching cartoons in the late 90s-early 2000s did tend to grow up in an era where cartoons were more violent and dark, but the og PPG cartoon still generally had a balance between light and dark that usually made its darkest moments feel justified in the end. Not in “Moral Decay,”‘though. All I felt after rewatching it as an adult recently in my mid twenties, was anger and disgust with the writers for completely derailing the Utonium family beyond redemption in “Moral Decay” for cheaply shocking, hypocritical, wildly ooc, and mean-spirited Buttercup vilification and punishment.
I guess, if there was anything nice about “Moral Decay,” though, it’s the fact that it NEVER gets mentioned or referenced in the og series EVER again afterwards, so it’s pretty easy to pretend never happened.

At best, we could assume the Professor never found out what Blossom and Bubbles did to Buttercup by setting her up to get her teeth knocked out as karma. At worst, we could assume he found out, and condones what Blossom and Bubbles did to Buttercup. Either way, while he does have every right to be disappointed in Buttercup for what she did in “Moral Decay,” he just seems to give off this vibe that he doesn’t care that one of his daughters got most of her teeth knocked out, and must be in serious pain, which is also so WILDLY OOC for a cartoon dad, who NORMALLY was a very caring, kind, loving, protective, and selfless one to the girls otherwise, sometimes to the point of overdoing it.

But it's been years since I've seen it so I might be off but I definitely do remember Femme Fatale getting punished in the end
My least favorate episodes. Catastrophe the stupid blob lost his cat laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame, and Live and Let Dynamo all that build put to one joke that was ridiculous, Toast of the Town do you want to here Mayor want toast for 8 minjutes straight. I love all the other episodes on this list.
icecream hero I actually like Live and Let Dynamo. Okay the ending is a bit anti climatic but it was still a fun fight scene throughout the rest of the episode.
