I just saw a video where a FF was sawing through a garage door, NO MASK NO SHIELD!!! Even kids in metal shop aren’t that stoopid!! And there it was, all proud he made the big league social media post…. 🫣

I have an idea...how about actually using those packs that you're wearing for what they're designed for, rather than just wearing them for show? Cancer isn't cool.
Exactly, why bother humping it around and not use it, just leave it on the truck. This is a command failure, it’s up to the leaders to ensure their crews are protected themselves, not just from the toxins in the smoke, but from the things like magnesium flare ups. FF unions are fighting to get cancers presumptively recognized but every day we see guys not doing the basics to protect themselves. I genuinely don’t understand it.
How come fire departments up north don't use the triple lay? I've tried all the ways, scorpion, flat/minute, and triple. Triple is by far the easiest and fastest deploy. With 100ft hose all I have to do is walk 33ft and it's already flaked out. It even cuts the loading times.
Yes, remember the days when you used a booster line first because it was so easy to use. I see now where some companies are bringing them back to new truck orders.
Watching this video . Im still wondering y it was so important to open ths drivers door . When all for windows were out and the passenger door was open ? Here’s a tip for ya though . A saws ll ic you cut around the mechanism and not the pin would of opened the door much faster .

I mean quick water on the fire is a good thing but those scba’s can be donated to a department in need because they obviously don’t need them. I mean F it, couple thousands dollars just to wear on my back and look cool.

I guess we don't mask up anymore on working fires ? Must have missed that chapter in fire 1
That dispatchers voice bothers me.

its not their fault, its a management issue. Why dont you say something to their chief.

The dispatcher, in the beginning, sounds like this happens all the time and he's tired of dispatching these car fires. :D

No excuse not to mask up on this
You should go tell them that

Good quick knock down. Good thing they had their masks on so they didn't breath in that toxic smoke.
Right? cars fires are so toxic.
They held their breath for the short time it took to knock it out!
It appears those closest to the attack were not wearing SCBA. No cancer claims later, please.
Dispatcher sounded bored or half asleep🥱
At least the engineer was quick with the water
I have an idea...how about actually using those packs that you're wearing for what they're designed for, rather than just wearing them for show? Cancer isn't cool.
Yeah i dont know what it is with car fires but i rarely see them mask up for a car fire
Cars still explode, I’ll keep wearing my SCBA. It’s 90% the way on might as well go the rest of the way.

@@Jimmythefish577 Bingo.
No scba ?
Looks like they learned there lesson from the last car fire and don’t reverse lay when you have plenty of tank water.
Talked to them said they reviewed the video and changed tactics due to it! This is there brand new engine.
Way better than last time. Water on the fire 45 seconds after arrival. Getting that new hose a little dirty 👍

@@williamadams4855 or use I high pressure booster line, rather than flaking out 8 million feet of attack line just for a car fire?
@@Jimmythefish577 we don't have the high pressure booster lines. But yeah that could work in most scenarios.
This is very bad! No protection against the toxic smoke! Sad to see this 2023.
Had water on the fire in 45 seconds from when they arrived best i have seen in a long time Good job guys
I checked the same. I had 48 but ......
They’re gonna be jumping on that class action lawsuit though
Those SCBA thingees on your backs work better when you put your masks on fellas.
Finally found a pumper operator that could get water flowing in 30 seconds.
A quick attack once they got there. Great video!
This was a big Pickup Fire!🔥
chief showing bad example with no pack on along with other members smoke eaters are a dying breed
Bummer to watch one's wheels go up in flames..... hey, at least he saved the fishin' poles! 😉
Got water on it in 48 seconds without SCBA. With SCBA maybe 58 seconds. Nice Video BTW!
With SCBA you won't be getting Emphysema,.COPD, Cancer, etc... The truck is scrap either way, so put on your effing SCBA...
That equipment on your back isn’t there for show. Put your damn masks on! No excuse.
That Dispatcher sounds so excited. Just another day at work.
Might want to read up on cancer in the fire industry. Chief leads by example????
Yeah who needs SCBA'S, toxic smoke is good for the lungs. Unreal.
Glad the man was able to save his fishing rods.
Good Job guys 👌👌👌 what a beautiful firefighter truck ❤️
Smelling something burning in a vehicle while ur driving scares the hell out of me!! Is that foam or water the FF's are using to put that fire out?
Cleanest hose in a hosebed I've seen in a long time.
Brand new engine
What happened to going live more like you said?

A great clear video 👍👍👍Good job!👍
nice job guys 👍

Another Dodge Ram.
Saw smoke over that way again about an hour ago.
They're lucky they had a pumper tanker no hydrants there for a house fire its often hard to get water. But good job all around well done fellas.
That's NOT a pumper tanker, it's just an engine. Any engine with a 500 gallon tank can easily handle a fire like this.

A "Working Car Fire" Uh--mmkay....
Yeah. My thoughts exactly...
I dont unerstand why fire fighters put on B A sets but not the masks then put the fire out loads of smoke that there breathing
You guys should invest in a porta power . You could have popped that door in under a minute. No saw needed
That wasn’t an EV burning, I thought only EV burned
EV fires are much harder to put out thanks to thermal runoff
