All the Army officers wives used to make these almost 45 years ago for get togethers. We made them with grape jelly and the chili sauce. They were inexpensive and really good. We all had small children and couldn't really afford to entertain, even though we were required to. 🤗
@@wandawilliams3110 I've used that method for years. I do omit the brown sugar or use very little because the jelly is sweet. I also use the sauce on ribs--it's truly delish.
I too like grape jelly. Never heard of cranberry. Plus I fry mine first in hot oil so they are very crispy. Then I crock pot them in all the sauce for a few hours. Great for weddings and holidays. But make a huge pot full. They don’t last long. Lol. I love cran grape juice. Gotta try it with meatballs
Momma would use grape jelly or cranberry. She'd also use just yellow mustard and apple jelly for a honey mustard meatball twist. So good! So many options with jellies.
Tammy you are so cute. I can feel the love you put into your cooking. You'r recipes are awsome. Sometime I sit up half the night watching you'r videos.
These are fantastic for informal office parties or potlucks. I put everything together at home, throw it in my crockpot, drive (very carefully, if it spills, its a mess! It happened to...um, a friend LOL) to work, plug it in, and keep warm on low - just be sure to check periodically in case it sticks or has hot spots. Enjoy! Oh, and that driving and crockpot issue? I....I mean my friend figured out that a few nice sized rubber band stretched over the knob on the lid, across to each handle helps stabilize the situation.
Tammy I don't ever notice other people saying anything about your kitchen but I am I love it. I have been in lots of homes but have never seen the type of layout that you have. I live in Texas and maybe the real estate varies from one area to another. But to me your kitchen in unique. It seems to just be built for you and the way you cook. I love the way you know where everything is at a moments motiece and move around so smoothly.
Neat mixer. Thanks for this bright Christmas meatball chaffing dish hors d' oeurve. Like the cranberry jell. My sons grandmother makes melted cranberry sauce with raspberry jello mold with pineapple. The cranberry is good. Thanks again..
I remember these being made with grape jelly and possibly Worcestershire sauce. Was never really a big fan. Maybe the cranberry sauce will change my thinking. Everyone I know loves cocktail meatballs, so if I don't Like 'm, I know someone who will!!😊😂😂
I usually make these every year for the Christmas party, sometimes I use Grape Jelly, sometimes I use cranberries but one thing about it, there is never any left to bring home. I have never used ground sirloin, might have to try that. I usually pan fry mine but your method looks so much simpler. Thanks Tammy. I really like your mixer, if it was a little bigger I could use it for mixing sausage or beef sticks.
I have been looking for years for a good cocktail meatball recipe. I haven’t made them for years because I just couldn’t find a good tasting recipe. I used a cup of crushed Ritz crackers instead of corn flakes. The meatballs were light, just a perfect meatball. The sauce was so amazing! I cant wait to serve them to guests. I hope I don’t eat them all. 🤭🤗 Thank you so much for this recipe, you’ve restored my faith in a good cocktail meatball.
I've had these before with the grape jelly and they are so good...almost too sweet though. Maybe omit the brown sugar? Also, is the lemon juice really necessary? Can anyone tell me, please? Thx!
I know it’s a typo, but I did a double take when I saw that it makes 85100 meatballs! Are you inviting all the troops at Ft. Benning to your party? Seriously though, I love cranberry sauce, but like other folks, have always used grape jelly with the chili sauce for party meatballs. I’ll have to try it this way.
Cant wait to try! I was taught with the same but “grape jam” instead of cranberry! My taste buds are going crazy! Never seen that kind of mixer! What is it called?
Hey Tammy I made this tonight but I substituted orange juice instead of lemon. I also used little smokies and it was great. Will be making this more often. Thanks Tammy
Hello from Lexington, North Carolina!❤ These look absolutely DELICIOUS!!😋😋 I love that this is different from the usual grape jelly one (which is also delicious). I used a mixer once to mix up meatloaf and it made the meat tough. I guess I mixed it too long.
A friend of mine was just telling me today about a meatball recipe that her family use to make during the holidays, And how funny is this that you just made their recipe except they used grape jelly. I think, I would prefer the cranberries over the grape jelly 👍🏻
Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, there will be no holiday gatherings for my family this year. No Thanksgiving together or Christmas. I am not acknowledging either holiday this year if my family can't, or won't get together.
We make both, meatballs and the cocktail weenies. We keep them warm in crock pots. We brown the hamburger balls then pour the sauce over them. Another recipe we brown the balls in a skillet then put in a baking dish and pour sauce over the meatballs and bake for 25 minutes. Yours looks very delicious. The steak sounds better. Yum! We use grape jelly but cranberries in a can sounds like a great idea since cranberries are healthy.
Thanks for posting this video because I cannot make a good meatball at all !!! I usually get the already ones but they are always hard with no flavor !!! Thanks for sharing with us !!! I will be making your meatballs for the Christmas !!!
Why don’t you crack your eggs in a bowl before adding them to your ingredients? Asking this because I have had several organic and graded eggs that were really nasty when I cracked them. This is just something that I’m curious about.

I’m going to use the grape jelly instead of cranberry, cause I just can’t stand cranberry. I’m glad we’re not all alike. Carol
My Mama used to use Heinz chili sauce and an equal amount of grape jelly.
@Hal Hoskins Thanks for tips. I have a big jar of marmalade that I use to make orange chicken. Carol
The recipe I had called for grape jelly too. They were good. The chili sauce has gotten expensive. Still yummy 💕
I usually make my sauce the same way but I use grape jelly instead of the cranberry. I'll have to try the cranberry.
Hmmm, I've got to give that a try. Grape jelly? Thanks for sharing.

She is the cutest thing. I feel like I'm sitting at her counter in the kitchen watching her cook. :)
Got to try this!!! I always used bbq sauce and grape jelly in the crock!!!
I agree with others, the addition of the cranberry sauce is a great idea.

They sure look good. Those meatballs could be used in a lot of different things.
My Mom used to serve these at Christmas only with the little cocktail weenies. I'm going to try your recipes. Looks delicious.
Yes I’m so excited to see and try your recipe for these meatballs 😋😋❤️
Yes mam I am making these for our Christmas eve party. 🥰🎄🎄🎄🎄❤
Love to watch you cook you make food that my family eats
Yummy going to definitely try this recipe 😋
Me and my family just love this recipe and so I make them every year and a few times a year
I remember these when I was a kid, but didn’t know how to make the sauce. Thanks. Carol

Making this today! My cooking blender will make it even easier.
I make mine with grape jelly, but want to try cranberry. Great appetizer.

I have never seen cornflakes in meatballs. I've been using gluten free breadcrumbs but I believe cornflakes are gluten free too. I will have to try.
If I ever decide to make something I’ll give it a try. It’s so wonderful to sit down and watch it.🤣

Tammy you cook like my kin and that's why I enjoy your channel! God's blessings to you and your household continually in Jesus Name
Momma made hers with grape jelly and mustard. I make mine with grape jelly and chili sauce but may try with cranberry sauce this year.
Use Ritz crackers instead of the corn flakes. Or you can use rolled instant oats. I've had them both ways.
I've had these before with the grape jelly and they are so good...almost too sweet though. Maybe omit the brown sugar? Also, is the lemon juice really necessary? Can anyone tell me, please? Thx!
Delicious! I've always made them with grape jelly, but I am going to try the cranberry sauce. I cook them in the crock pot 😋
Looks so yummy! 😋✨
I have made this for years. I use grape jelly and salsa. But I use frozen meatballs. I’m going to try making your meatballs
Thank you for the recipe! I now officially know how to make the best meatballs 😁
How do you get your meatballs to be so uniform and smooth? Mine are always clumpy after they cook! Is it because you used sirloin?
I am not sure maybe it is because of how I rolled them
Looks Delicious !!!!!!!!! Gotta use that rubber spatula to clean out that pot of goodness....I yell at the video.GET THAT RUBBER SPATULA !!!!!>>>LOL
Hey Neighbor! I love your new intro!!!

you did it again ,got my mouth watering, for those meat balls ,ty love yas ,from n,h,
Love meatballs ! I have never used the cranberry sauce before ! That would be a great flavor! Looks Delicious! Thanks Tammy!
Meatballs look great. Sauce has way too much sugar. Do you have any ideas for folks who are diabetic?
Just use less sugar or Splenda or Stevia.
Leave off the sauce
The meat balls look delicious.
