F4D has been my most favorit jet since it first came out. In the 1vs1 it beats basicly every jet around its BR, it has a realy good matchup against most premiums it faces, it counters the sea vixen so hard that I struggle to think of a single scenario where the sea vixen might be able to actualy kill a F4D and ofcourse it is perhaps the single best jet for its BR in sim. The fact that it is not a tech tree jet is criminal. They made over 400 of them and they were in service with the naval for a long time.

@@v3es473 here is the problem though: 1. The F4D is faster then the sea vixen, by alot. It also climbs faster and has much better exceleration. So getting on the F4Ds 6 isn't realy likely. 2. The F4D can outturn the red top. So you have 2 situations. A: The Skyray is going fast so the sea vixen can't get within missile range. Or B: The skyray is turnfighting someone and will probably dodge the red top on accident even without knowing its there. 3. Again, flight performance wise the F4D does everything the sea vixen does but better so when the F4D is aware of the sea vixen (the F4D also has a realy good radar so it can spot if easil), its going to get on its tail and the sea vixen will die. 4. Sea vixen players usualy start the match by climbing to high altitute and the attacking unaware enemys from above. The F4D climbs better then the sea vixen so most of the time they will meet at high altitute and then if the F4D decides to engage it automaticaly wins the fight. Seriously, this is the most one sides matchup in war thunder.
There is some hope, the F4D-1 was reclassified as the F-6 Skyray later in its life when the military standardized its aircraft classifications. It also received AIM-9Ds and Sparrow II compatibility towards the end of its career (we know what the 9D is but the Sparrow II is an ARH missile but with a pulse radar instead of pulse Doppler. Could be very potent.) It is possible Gaijin will, in the future, add a later version of the Skyray with these weapons under the designation F-6A Skyray
Joob's back with the Skyray!!! hell yeah! suggestion for you to try out the Hunter F.6, it's a lot of fun to kinematically dodge 90% of missiles shot at you and yeet people with SRAAMs

@@pinetree7068 not true. With equal players, the mig 29 will turn inside the f-16 furst turn (assuming it’s an AJ or netz), but after that the f16 wins pretty easily in a guns only fight.

Could you maybe take a look at the Fw 190 C? It's a plane I (and many others) have problems with and you're a pretty good pilot so maybe you can make it work.
I think it would be a cool idea if you played whatever vehicle was made on the date and month of your recording, and if it’s not in the game try the closest vehicle/variant possible.
it IS super sonic capable in a dive, as in it will go super sonic without tearing itself apart. BUT it was designed and is classified as a subsonic aircraft (not even transonic, thing compresses at 950km/h)

have you ever played the A7M2? It's a japanese 5.3 br aircraft that has very very satisfying guns (2x 13.2 mm and 2x 20 mm) I think you'd like it. (I just really wanna see a video with this plane)
for the guns you use "Switch Primary weapons" to select one pair a guns at a time and you can use your default fire guns key and it auto switches when one is out of ammo.
You should make a video of the sea hawk mk.100, you'll have fun since you almost never get uptiers. Bullying early jet with missiles since you're a 8.0.

1:00 Utterly incorrect, probably the most painfully wrong take but also likely content creator bias. I've been spading the F-86F-40 in the Japanese tree and it is also 9.0. This is the worst matchmaker I think I've ever had the displeasure to face in WT. Always against supersonics, Always slowest on the field, Always fewer missiles (2 vs most planes 4) and almost always uptiered to face the A-10 and Su-25 spam. You likely didn't notice it because you can compete in an afterburning plane with 4 missiles but no for everyone else at 9.0 it is uptier city. Final fun tidbit, I never once got even a slight downtier while spading the entire plane, the lowest I got was 8.3 and it was only for 1 match and because I was essentially flying an 8.3 plane that is at the wrong BR (ty gaijin) I had no advantage and proceeded to get the same score anyway. Play 9.0 now and you will never enjoy a downtier. FYI
I always loved the skyray, it may be a piece of garbage but its my beautiful piece of garbage also if you deploy the landing flaps you can turn insanely hard
I bought two off the market place when it was like $5 in marketplace one for me and one for when it spiked in price and sure enough the price is going way up
The flaps on this thing are a bit misinformed, normally flaps increase lift when deployed... these ones do the opposite so don't use it during low speed maneuvers, they are more of a dive recovery device, like the late P47, P38. The compression on this thing is a no issue once you learn to use these "flaps" and they let you pull 13G at a certain speed which snaps them wings off. Also I mean the landing flaps, the combat ones are actually helpful during low speed.
I have hit rite before Mach 1 and the thing starts to Dive and you lose control of the thing. Only if this girl had flares 🤔 and dont worry about the gear getting ripped off it happens to everyone. Fat finger the landing gear key 👆 Aim-9 Bullshit ...lul they have actually been working pretty decent for me oddly enough.
I really tried to like Javelin but it's such a sad aircraft, slow, horrible acceleration, loses all speed after one turn, becomes a brick and can't get its speed back. If someone wants to kill you he will and there is nothing you can do about it. I learned the hard way why no one flies it and every time I met one it was free RP. Also kinda sad how it has wrong FM for years now, guys on the forums and such proved many times how underpowered engines are and how its rip speed ingame is below its max speed irl etc, but oh well

Hey Joob! Do you use new hydraulic boosters on the Skyray?
The flaps on this thing are a bit misinformed, normally flaps increase lift when deployed... these ones do the opposite so don't use it during low speed maneuvers, they are more of a dive recovery device, like the late P47, P38.
The compression on this thing is a no issue once you learn to use these "flaps" and they let you pull 13G at a certain speed which snaps them wings off.
Also I mean the landing flaps, the combat ones are actually helpful during low speed.

I really tried to like Javelin but it's such a sad aircraft, slow, horrible acceleration, loses all speed after one turn, becomes a brick and can't get its speed back. If someone wants to kill you he will and there is nothing you can do about it. I learned the hard way why no one flies it and every time I met one it was free RP.
Also kinda sad how it has wrong FM for years now, guys on the forums and such proved many times how underpowered engines are and how its rip speed ingame is below its max speed irl etc, but oh well
