Yeah seriously....i wanted to punch the other morons for posting 25 min videos that honestly had 10% to do with the title. This dude is awesome for for making this. (I cant believe how much the game leaves you hanging not helping you figure shit out. Until this i couldnt attach rudder because i didnt know you had to build in water).

Iknow you made this video a long time ago but I am new to this game Nd I wanted to say THANK YOU for making a video that shows the basics of building a raft! I am in day 56 of my game and could find no one to explain how to connect two rafts together to make a bigger raft. You did it excellently and I thank you so much!! Will be looking at all your videos now!!

*Guys, put your anchors at the front. You can access it easier and you have room at the back for the motor.*
This was more helpful than so many other complicated videos
I found the best way to build the raft without it floating away. Is to build a dock surrounded on 3 sides so it stays put while building it. Then you can break part of the dock away and float the raft out and now you have a dock to park your boat at.
i just build it on land and drag it in water when i am done can place everything on land

Always save before you go on a journey. Make a sleeping bag so you can save anywhere

Yes :) You have to be in deep enough water though, and make sure they are together. The blueprint before crafting will pop up and snap to the currently built piece. Just make sure they're snapped together because if not, you'll do what I did when a wave caught me and build two seperate parts. Had to deconstruct and lost some buoy balls. 😂
Just did my first raft build. Almost like a tic-tac-toe board look. 3x3 then I got tires in the middle. Two sails in front on each side. Then for shelves for crates.

didn't know you could drag the raft. if you can do the inflatable one you get at the start it might actually be viable to get you off your starter island.

finally a normal tutorial do you have one about building a normal house i build the foundation but the wooden floor wont fit
Great video! I would have been lost lol. However my raft runs backwards and I can't seem to figure out how to make two together? Its barely big enough for 1 person. How can I fix these 2 problems?

for the basic raft do you need a paddle? because how do you steer with a basic raft?

Why can i not place the rudder or anchor on the back? I tried literally for hours and it would only let me place a them along the side of the raft basically length ways intended of width of the back. So i placed them on the side as close to the back as possible like almost the corners of the back and side which makes turning a bit harder. Any tips ?

I put my sail facing a certain way on the raft and the game only allowed me to put the rudder on a side the sail is not facing. So when I put the sail down the rudder doesn’t work. Any tips to fix this?

@@sickofthelies1627 its prob because he didnt have a base under it. I thought you only need 1 base so I crafted one and tried to put floors around but it wouldn't let me.

Or could I use the paddle and row it?
Nope you don’t need to use the motor if you don’t want to, I would recommend building the sail and rudder and using them as it’s about 10x faster than using a paddle, and the motor is faster than the sail, but it uses up fuel.

I'm trying to gather the material for the raft but I can't get to other island. Sharks keep flipping my life raft so I can't go anywhere :(
I'm probably just a dumbass, but I built my raft with just the motor. I put it on the water and I just kept going in circles. Do I need a rudder and a sail if I use the motor?

Good tutorial I have just made mine but have run into a bit of a problem, as I’m on my second island every time I try to return to the starting island it blue screens just wondering if anyone else is having these issues, I made it back once but before I could save it crashed again, very frustrating.

I personally haven’t had this problem myself luckily, but I’ve seen a few people with same problem posting on reddit. So might be worth you checking that out and see if anybody has a solution for it. Hope that helps :)
How are you grabbing/pulling the raft back to shore?
On the PS4 you hold down the L2 button to drag the raft, and LT on Xbox

What islands do you find this stuff on and cloth specifically since it doesn't spawn in the first island you end up stranded @?
You will have to use your life raft to get you from the first island to another island. Look for the closest (big island) and then you should find all the sticks,rocks and fiberous leaves you will need. Check all the crates and lockers inside ship wrecks, that’s where you will find cloth early game. Hope that helps you

Can you add to an existing raft?
I've been sailing with the single raft for weeks 😅 never even thought of this. I was thinking there's no fucking way that was it hahaha. How large can you make it? Can u place walls on the floor?
You cannot place walls unfortunately (I tried lol. As far as I know, you can make it as big as you want. You can build those shelves on it though, to give you protection from the bosses. You can also put light stands on it for any of the solar powered lanterns you find.

Why not just put an anchor on the first piece off the hop?
Not bashing lol was a good tutorial and I thank you for it, that just struck me when you attached the anchor and I realized you're able to use that one in the shallows lol
You know those times where you think “man why didn’t I think of that” ... well this is one of those times 😅. I always appreciate the feedback whether it’s positive or negative as long as it’s constructive. I try to make all my tutorials just really easy step by step guides so it’s easy for people to follow, if people want to do certain steps in a different order that’s absolutely fine 🙂 But yes you’re right it would make more sense to do it that way lol

Are you fully submerged in the water? Sometimes it won’t snap into place if it’s not completely level on the water
What are eggs for? Besides eating
253Cigars I’m not entirely sure what eggs your referring too? I don’t think I’ve ever come across any eggs on stranded deep
StunGun Gaming the eggs are on top of cliffs and rocks in bird nests.

How do you attach the rafts together?
Yes, and they don't all have to be the same building material (buoy balls+barrels and so on). You just have to make sure you're in deep enough water. They will snap together just before crafting.
@@PixelMochi what I don't understand is how you attach them? You make the raft as shown in video, but how do you make it bigger than the smaller one you make.. Do you build the second one without sail and rudder?
@@reddevil1540 Say if you were to build one section. You just keep doing that, making sure that you're in deep enough water. The newly built section will be red. All you have to do is make sure you've built right beside of your previous section and move it next to it. It should turn blue and will snap onto the previously built section. Gradually, it will become bigger and all you have to do is build it however you want it to look.

How do you start the motor on ps4????
You will need to use a fuel still to make fuel, Check out my fuel still tutorial for help :)

bruticuse It is slightly faster, But yeah the steering is so bad! I use the sail 99% of the time tbh
Put a motor on my 5x3 raft and it sucks. No steering.
Can’t attach anything together
Make sure the raft is completely in the water when trying to do the base of the raft, as it won’t snap together if part of it is not level with the other part
