Andreas, really enjoyed your upbeat and informed reaction of our girl, SoHyang! From 2014/15 till 2019 she has had Pneumonia 8 times! All as a result of having Cancer at 20 and receiving hepatitis tainted blood during her surgery( all which left her unable to bear children naturally and with a seriously compromised immune system! Didn’t/ hasn’t got her down though. She was so grateful to God for saving her life and to her new husband and family for without hesitation putting her life above all else, she made a vow to try to relieve some of the suffering in the World ! Relieve it through the gift God had given her! To put herself second and to sing to take others minds off their pain and troubles! Exactly how she had received relief from Celine ,Whitney and foremost Mariah had when she was down ,when she was in High School and her Father had left her and her Mother and they became poor overnight! Several of her most Amazing Performances have been given while she was still suffering from a bout of pneumonia ( example is , her , Lean on me with Micheal Bolton in attendance and the whole show dedicated to his hit songs. After he called her a,”Virtuoso “ and asked her to join his up coming tour of Korea! She could only do one city as she had upcoming Church and Gospel engagements! She has turned down 3 record companies, Sony being the last as she insists she will not take Glory for herself and fore-sake , her promise to Jesus to help others , praise him and continue her Church and Charity Work ! She respects the original song message and adds new content with her religious aspect. One thing you haven't mentioned I believe, is the emmotional conveyance/delivery. Her whole arrangement, performance, face expressions and gestures are all being build arround that. We all wonder if So Hyang is human or from another planet. They are all top notch from what I can see and hear, and it is important to note that as these are _essential_ parts of any great music production. Her signature note in her chest mix is actually B flat 5. Nevertheless, what I love most about Sohyang is that she is a great performer and a story teller. Her choices are motivated by the emotional state of the song. She sings with so much passion.

The thing is, her wizardry is greater in at least 10 other songs. I'm always looking for reactions to her and it's never for this one really. I mean this one "ain't bad" but so many others are just shocking(that is how silly the others are, I mean think about that). She takes the mix higher in several. She has wicked soft stuff. Some reactors do a couple popular belty performances and stop. And it's like, boy if you only knew. Just pop in on a couple from Begin Again Korea. Like just listen to "Misty"(the one from Begin Again) without even reacting. To simply see some of the other side. But still, the powerful stuff is so dang varied and impressive too.

So Hyang is just the most amazing singer, Christian and human being. She is beautiful both inside and out, and so humble, open and genuine, with a stage charisma, facial expressions and smile that is off the charts.
In Korean dictionaries 소 향 (So Hyang) has several meanings.
• First is a type of Korean traditional music.
• Second is to burn incense on a burner.
• Third is to go toward.
But these meanings are rarely used today and hers is a quite uncommon name. 소 향 is also the name of a heroine in a Korean traditional novel. So in retrospect her name was well chosen, and you can take your pick!

Well, one more gush. In an interview with a Turkish music producer So Hyang's assistants revealed (a bit to her chagrin, as she is a self-effacing person) that she can hit Eb7 and D7 in practise. However, she never goes above the 6th octave in performances. Since she starts at D3 that is more than a 4 octave range ... so how about them apples???! Oh, I just remembered, she is also a published novelist and theological treatist, and a very good stage actress, which she proved by playing Julie Andrews’ part in the South Korean production of “The Sound of Music.” Moreover, she sang the “Moana” part in the Korean version of the Disney film, does the musical vocals for many South Korean television dramas, and is a talented artist and cartoonist.
She can also play the piano and guitar. Is there anything this genius level woman can’t do?
Though she is less than 5' 4" and probably not even 100 pounds, So Hyang simply transcends the thresholds of music and takes you there with her. She becomes the song when she sings it. An experience like no other. I don’t know what else to say. I’ve spent _entire days_ listening to her, and shed more than a few tears of joy along the way. She is indeed akin to an addictive substance you can't live without.
I really must also compliment the choir, orchestra and audio/video production people So Hyang works with. They are all top notch from what I can see and hear, and it is important to note that as these are _essential_ parts of any great music production. The Korean people are easily as talented as anyone else.

The thing is, her wizardry is greater in at least 10 other songs. I'm always looking for reactions to her and it's never for this one really. I mean this one "ain't bad" but so many others are just shocking(that is how silly the others are, I mean think about that). She takes the mix higher in several. She has wicked soft stuff. Some reactors do a couple popular belty performances and stop. And it's like, boy if you only knew. Just pop in on a couple from Begin Again Korea. Like just listen to "Misty"(the one from Begin Again) without even reacting. To simply see some of the other side. But still, the powerful stuff is so dang varied and impressive too.
