I was a huge android fanboy for 13 years (2010-2023). The last 11 of those years I was a MASSIVE samsung fanboy. I had 6 of them, S3, S5, S7, S8+, S10+ and S22 Ultra. I bought my first iPhone back in 2016, the 6s plus. Hated it. Gave iPhone a second chance when the 11 came out. I purchased the 11 pro max and I was also using the s10+. had both phones for 3 years and for some reason, I fell in love with the iPhone. I guess since I had both android and ios at the same time I can compare and I found ios to be A LOT more polished to me. I never used any of the features android is known for like customizing and things like that. I used my phone as a phone and found the iPhone to do a better job at it. I sold my s22 ultra after having it for about 9 months and I now and am fully invested in the apple ecosystem and am very satisfied. But everyone has their preferences and this is just my opinion. In this day and age either device will work and work very well.

It’s kinda strange that people (even with Android) rarely tell you the actual phone they have. It’s as if “Android” is a phone it self. Whenever someone says Android is better than iPhone they can’t mean any and all androids, because I’ve seen some absolutely terrible Android phones.

    • @AnthonyMott727

There are heaps of Android phones are utter crap. An iPhone from 2018 is still supported even with iOS 18 and works better and more smoothly than some android phones released 2 years ago but the android fanboys hate the truth

There's really only one real Android phone left in the race and that's Samsung. Pixels are buggy and underpowered and ASUS ROG and Sony are niche phones. It's a shame there's not more competition.

This is my second time giving iPhone a shot. iMessage is still unmatched on Android. Compatibility is a huge bonus for developers and users. Camera and video are drool worthy but still missing some basic things. iOS 18 SIGNIFICANTLY closes the gap but even as I type this I have my ringer on silent. Why? Because iOS does not have a way to separate system and notifications volumes so if a Telegram notification goes off my ear drums are fried every time and it’s so irritating. As an Android power user I still need split screen multitasking because it just works. For example I had to use the number pad within the diaper interface to type up a long sequence that was only on my phone at the time. Guess what I couldn’t do? Type the number in while looking at the number because you can only do one thing at once. So ended the call, wrote the number down so I can type it while on the phone. Just simple scenario that just doesn’t exist on an Android because of split screen multitasking. There are many other scenarios. But anyway, thanks for the video bro. Really surprised you don’t care for the photos and video coming from iPhone.

I’m an android fan. But I enjoy the simplicity and efficiency of the iPhone 15 pro. The build in MagSafe is great. The nfc is active when needed and not an always on or off option. The camera is better and the app support is good. Widgets look clean. iOS 18 soon coming and I’m actually excited about an update. Their batteries are smaller and run the same time or longer.
All have their preferences. I like apple. But for tablet I like Samsung because the display uses almost all of the screen when watching movies. iPads use 70% lol.
Currently the only android phone I wanna try next after my s23 is the oneplus nord 4

After using both OS's for over a year now, I have to say that the thing I dislike most about iOS is the navigation. Sometimes I just stare at the screen wondering how I go back a screen. Then most times I just end up force closing the app. Android navigation is so intuitive whether you use the nav buttons or gestures. And iOS still needs an app drawer.

I've switched from iphone 11 pro to pixel 8 pro. A few things that bothers me with pixels is their control center, no true tone equivalent feature, and the look of the widgets (except the music widgets). Indoors I always had to turn on the night light mode on and set it at the least intensity cuz the display colors are too cool. What made me try pixel 8 pro is the camera for photography and the AI features. Honestly it was a better phone deal as well. However, after having this phone for almost a year I do miss ios system and will go back to iphone.

Thanks for the video. I really enjoy your content. Much like you, I am team Android for my whole life and never even owned an iPhone but the more and more I've gotten into tech more specifically cell phones. I decided to see what Apple had to offer and what iOS was about so I decided to get a iPhone 14 plus first iPhone I've ever owned let alone purchased in my life. Gotta say battery life is King! Probably the best battery life out of all of my devices in my arsenal. I've been running iOS 18 beta it's very androidy the only thing that really kills me about iOS it doesn't have the universal back gesture where you swipe right or left to go back That is one of the major issues that holds me back from really using my iPhone more than I do.The only reason keep this iPhone is for family purposes. Seems like at least 80% of my family uses an iPhone. Anyway I'll probably upgrade to the iPhone 16 pro once it drops or that iPhone slim that they're talking about. But anyway once that iOS 18 fully drops. iphones Will be a lot better.

Fair points in the video, using a Motorola Ultra 30 Ultra (largely core Android) and also using the same vintage 14Pro at times, the points regarding iOS is completely on point. Both phones seem on par for usage smooths and speed in general usage (GF agrees) but iOS needs attention in consistently across navigation etc.
I also would agree with pics as a point and shoot. The GFs craft isn't great and so many pics are just terrible she snaps and shares. Being an amateur photographer with a bit of gear I took out to try get some better shots. While technique helps it generally is too contrasty causing loss of black details while also over sharped. The Moto cam app has terrible processing in many cases, GCam though transforms and much more balanced, certainly better than the 14Pro. GCam if it was possible on the 14pro would be interesting

6:20 - OS and app optimization play a role, but the G2/G3 Tensor chip on the Pixels is terrible for efficiency. The modem is also a culprit as the Pixel is said to use a lot of power trying to maintain signal. The G5 is slated to get fabbed by TSMC, which should improve efficiency, but that's not happening until some time later next year with the Pixel 10.

Apples chips have always been over powered. The only reason they put those chips in them is to keep them relevant for so many years. I have been using IOS Beta 18 developer preview for a little while now and i think Android users will find it more and more tempting to switch over after seeing the changes. Anyone thinking about pulling the cord should wait for the 16. Pixels are outdated as soon as they launch. The Android party tricks are fantastic but the hardware has been lack luster since they switched from the Nexus line. Festure drops you mentioned, think of those as you bought a unfinished product. As Apple and Android come to more parody with festure sets that people use daily, all the dog and pony tricks will become less and less relevant, and way less of a selling point. Appreciate your take on this.

Will it be a back arrow top left as far from my thumb as possible, will it be somewhere else or will I be able to just use a swipe gesture. Again I thought I was doing something wrong or the GFs phone was glitching, I had to search it when she said it was normal. Interesting she thought it was great being able to thumb swipe back everywhere on the right edge of the screen, said it made navigation quick, easy and smooth. Hence why my comment.
