- After using the iPhone 15 Pro Max as my daily driver for the past 7 months, I finally have some more thoughts I want to share about it, most importantly about how the device needs to improve with the next gen iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max (especially considering how pricey it is). In this video I reiterate some of the things I've loved with this current iteration and once again, aspects Apple needs to tighten up moving forward.

Don’t give Apple any credit for finally adding a usb-c port to their phones. Instead, thank the EU for forcing Apples hand. If they hadn’t have done that, then the lightning port would still be on the 15 line up.
Lightning was not the issue. It was the transfer speeds that is an issue. And nobody cares about the EU.

I know exactly what you mean. Updated from a 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max. When I try to scan bar codes at Sam’s Club the focus really struggles to focus because it doesn’t switch to telephoto. The battery life is not as good either. Really love how light it is.

Great intro, wow. And I agree. I think we are now heading towards perfection with the iPhone. Maybe we will get to super quality under display selfies and a completely notchless look. Coupled with 4 day battery and DSLR quality. After that I don't know where we go

In a sea of creators pumping out reviews with basically broll shots left right and center, your simple front view shot is certainly refreshing to see and one style i sure miss from how videos look back in the day back when phonedog aaron was one of the top dogs (no pun intended) in the business. Along the years of people doing reviews there seems to be a forgotten art of just showing the design of the phone in a 1st person pov. Theres just something simple yet satisfying to preview how a phone will look in ones hands just admiring the design seeing how a consistent lightsource bounce off of it. Idk what im talking about now lol
For the battery i bought mine at launch and it is still at 100% with around the same ballpark for the number of cycles. But i never leave my phone charging overnight. I charge it (wired) to 100% at night and then a bit when i wake up to put it back at 100

I am daily using a 13 pro max since nearly 1 and half years and to be fair the camera advantages of the 14/15 series are so minor that it only is noticeable by an photography person or who really can advantage from those very specific aditions. I do like to take photos with my phone and I already have raw mode I actually don´t know why I should pay that much again for like 80-85% similar phone. But nevertheless I still like your review.
Stick with your 13 Pro Max. The phone is a beast and will serve you well for at least the next 3 years.

Upgrade path for iPhones now are typically 3 years but you can get away with going more than that without a doubt. Just get a new battery once the battery health goes down to the lower 80%. I just upgraded from 12 Pro to 15 Pro Max but honestly I was still happy with my 12 Pro except for the fact that I'm getting tired of charging with a lightning cable. I have a Google Pixel, usb-c laptops, and usb-c buds. I just wanted an all-in-one charging experience and it feels nice!
@@fightnight14 Yeah i see your point and totally get it, but only for a charging port and a few new features i wouldn‘t go. But in your case its more or less acceptable. And of course if you have the money than go for it. Funny enough i was trying to daily drive a nothing phone 2 as secondary or first but just realised how deep i was in the apple cage that i had give it back because i couldn‘t enjoy it enough. Nevertheless it’s such a unique phone.
@@danartlifestyle The smaller 13 Pro was my ideal phone when it came out and i was so pissed that they didn't put 120hz on the 12 Pros smh. If I had the 13 pros I also would not upgrade yet, not even the 16 which looks like another 's' year upgrade.

I figure I'll use it for about three years, so a durable case is a must. This Torras one seems pretty solid.

Mine’s at 98% with 140 cycle. I dont charge it past 95% and always make sure to charge it before it falls below 30% 😭😭😭
I’m at 197 cycles and still at 100%, guess RUclipsrs have worse battery health cos they update to iOS betas and film with ProRes/Log

I've been using it for six months, and I usually carry a MagSafe battery. So, having a sturdy magnetic case is important. I use Torras.

Any issue reported about who those have iPhone 15 Pro Max? Battery high drain or keyboard lagging? It's true that Apple "reduced" processor speed clocks to deal overheat?
I have had quite a bit of use of Bluetooth connectivity issues. Sometimes and here lately rather frequently my AirPods will disconnect and reconnect and disconnect and reconnect. I am on my second 15 Pro Max, and quite honestly the connectivity is a little better than my first one but not significantly and it’s been one of the biggest drawbacks outside of the battery life could be a lot better with this phone. I am probably going to trade it for 15+ and then wait and see what comes out with the 16 series. I don’t need a telephone lens and LR and many things that are in the promax and I know that the 15+ is basically the same size phone or at least the same size screen And it doesn’t seem to have some of the connectivity issues that the promax has continually had from day one. I have also had a bit of overheating, especially what I’m.

Great video. With your complaints/frustrations with the 15 Pro Max, it almost begs the question as to why someone should choose the 15 Pro Max over the 15 Plus or a used 13 Pro/Max.

Your problems with the 15 Pro Max, especially the camera performance with 5x digitally cropping, are the reasons why I returned mine and went with the 15 Pro instead. I use the 3x more as well. My hands are also thanking me for the switch.

@@bruhno1545 I would rather not have 5x like the Pro Max for many reasons. First, you get digital cropping like Noah said when the Pro Max wants to. The quality of 1x-4.9x will be better on the regular Pro bc it doesn’t have such a significant jump in lens range like the Pro Max does 2x-5x.

I don’t understand the complaints about the battery. With my 15 pro max, I get 8-9 hours of screen time, sometimes 10+ on the weekends and during the week, I get a full 2 days easy on a single charge….today was a heavy day for me though… I have 6hours of screen time as I type this and I still have 61% left. I have never had a mobile phone with such a fantastic battery.

I use the 14 Plus and I get 8-9 hours of SoT with social media and media consumption. I can get thru 25-27 hours on a single charge.
Even the 14, I was able to get 6-7 hours.
apple can literally use a 5000mah even if the software and stability if there for battery performance, it'll destroy in longer battery life hours

I would say wait. Really the only thing that would be a difference is Dynamic Island. Everything else is so similar I’d say 13 pro max to 15 pro max is not worth the upgrade.
With my iPhone 15 and Torras case, I feel like it can last at least three years.

At this point what more do we need from iPhone? A better camera? More efficiency for better battery life? Can’t really think of anything else. I mean AI is being rammed down our throats, but not sure it’ll be that groundbreaking
I truly prefer the Pixel 8 Pro having 48MP on all cameras. It makes a huge difference. I’ve printed poster prints from the Pixel. Still the Apple Ecosystem is argh!! Has the gravitational pull of a black hole. Yes I’ve used every feature of Google/Chromebook/Windows ecosystem and it’s still not as good.

Im going for the 15 pro max for the battery mostly, and I'm wondering why you like the 15 pro better? Are there any specific reasons and if the battery difference is huge cuz I'll prolly use it for 3 years and I want a bigger battery
He's probably referring specifically to the size of the phone. It's a fun size.
@@bruhno1545 I had both at one point and got 2-3 hour battery difference between the two with heavy usage. The Pro Max wasn’t terrible in the hand, but not as comfortable as the Pro’s. Putting a case on the Pro Max made it wider and more uncomfortable to hold one handed. I prefer the 3x on the Pro over the 5x on the Pro Max as well. The digital cropping the Pro Max does from 2x-5x looks horrendous compared to the difference of 3x-5x on the Pro.

My 15 pro max camera is terrible. Much worse than my old 13 pro. Especially in low light. Absolutely unable to film something like a camp fire at night (solo stove in back yard). Night sky is blurry sh*t. Any zoom other than 1, 2 or 5x exactly is super blurry. I really wonder if my phone or camera is defective. Lenses are clean and NO, I do not have any sort of covers or protectors on the lenses. Using/always have used the apple silicone case. I have experimented with camera settings, nothing has helped. I really, REALLY wish I’d just kept my 13 pro.
My 15pm camera isnworlds better than my 13pm, you may need to take your device in for repair because that's not normal. 15pm cameras are literally the best.
