- Red Dead Redemption 2's Final Mission, Epilogue: American Venom.
John Marston tracks down a lead for the notorious Micah Bell high into the bone-chilling, snowcapped peaks of Mt. Hagen, seeking revenge for his fallen brother, Arthur Morgan.
No Deadeye, No HUD, just straight up cinematic gunslinging.
#RDR2 #reddeadredemption
If you're reading this, this is your sign to go play Red Dead Redemption 2.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone perfectly headshot Joe and the other 2 guys at the start. I imagine that’s how John canonically killed them
He’s got that mouse flick
Ala Clint Eastwood
Aimbot lol
Yea that was pretty cool lol
I used flaco’s technique to kill them bad boys
Goddamn that triple at the start was clean asf
Indeed 😂
It was beautiful. Unlike Rene Navarro would've played it.
Mouse power baby!
dead eye in real time
Power of revenge
It’s a shame Red Dead didn’t get rockstar editor. You could’ve made a cinematic masterpiece
For sure, the possibilities would be endless!
Keep your fingers crossed I think it may come
@@theSBV honestly it took me a while to realize that you made John look more like Arthur, hat and all
@@arthurmorgan3810 Nice catch! 😉I wanted to use Arthur's Winter outfit, but restarting at that checkpoint before Joe, resets it back to John's.
@@musclezz_6740 Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but the game's like 4 years old, it ain't coming.
That start with the triple Kill was amazing Really not easy to pull off.
it kinda is if you have a sensitive mouse and you have steady hands
@@SilVelardi I play on console so its tough. I do I could Pull of Some crazy things in Maxpayne 3 though.
@@SilVelardi I have hand tremors when I do delicate, intricate things like aiming and firing in a game. Let us peons worship our betters!
@@John-996almost impossible for me on controller
one of the only criticisms i have of this level is that it’s supposed to be really badass and cinematic, yet, you’re dialogue gets interrupted every time you get shot. i really want to hear every line of dialogue from John. there’s no place to take cover so it’s guaranteed you’re gonna get shot. when i first played this level, i kept getting hit every time John started to say something so i was running up that hill with John repeatedly yelling “Micah- Micah- Mi- Micah-“. it really pulls you out of the moment.
To be honest John shouldn't even be screaming Micah in this mission, I know it's meant to be badass and all but all he's doing is revealing his position even more.
My dialogue has never been interrupted by getting shot
@@BrunoHartmann- Well he's pissed off and on a rampage, probably doesn't think very clearly
@@arguably8390 Yeah, and everything about that mission is extremely unrealistic anyway, still a masterpiece
I think it's to maintain stressful loud noise throughout this whole thing.
3:15 I just noticed John tried to walk towards to better position as he talks to Mica since he didn’t have much barricade around where he was standing. Mica notices immediately and stands in between. Really cool professional gunslinger detail, where the fight is already starting before they draw.
Nice, I like your observation!
Isn't it obvious?
I always thought john was trying to get the the little house near the shed. Micah notices and playfully sidesteps to keep proper distance.
Micah was smarter than we thought.
BTW, this sequel is scripted like hell. On my second playthrough, I threw sticks of dynamite at him instead of trying to shoot him. The only difference is that his clothes appear a little singed by the explosions when Sadie appears.
When John mentioned Arthur, that’s when the gears in Dutch’s head started turning, and when he realized micah was there when Arthur died, and his only son left was about to die.
nah i think dutch knew and was there to kill micah in the first place, when john asks why dutch is there he says "same reason as you i guess"
@@chokomaru5465maybe, but when John mentioned Arthur and Micah responds with “ARTHURS BEEN DEAD A LONG TIME” Dutch is very clearly disturbed, like he’s filled with regret for mistakes he can’t take back
@@RussianBear42069 I think he already knew what he was going to do, but was holding out just to hear the confirmation from either of them.
As much as I love this mission, Sadie appearing from the other side of the mountain with that gut wound always sets off my bullcrap alarm.
Yeah and that was super unrealistic, you could’ve had a fighter like Charles appear on the other side since he only had a shoulder injury and it’s make sense if he was aiming as weakly as Sadie… but come on. A gut stab wound and she manages to run up the other side of a mountain in a shootout?
@@fyeul I mean... John killed everyone on that mountain. Charles was probably guarding the area
Eh yall right but dont be so fussy
yeah shitty female moment LOL
More bullshit:
- Sadie and John don’t make Micah drop his guns, they allow him to holster it.
- John after shooting through however many bandits; being in a combat zone; starts the Micah confrontation with his guns holstered rather than in hand ready to shoot.
- Micah not shooting John as soon as Dutch came and gave him the upper hand in the standoff.
Why is it that John simply saying “Yeah, just me” give me chills?
It’s because of American Venom playing in the background while he says it
It’s just raw
Cuz he is a 1 man army.
This is on par with some of the greatest western moments in media!
You're far too kind, partner.
It’s better than any western moments in media
@@theSBVYour far to critical, partner. It’s very good
"John, it was you! You're the Red Dead Redemption 2"
Breaking bad ahh humor
John Marston was Arthur Morgans Redemption 🗿
1:00 you better not dissapoBANG 😂
best way to kill that guy
Love how Sadie didn’t even pull the hammer down so in reality he could’ve overtook Sadie
You’re right didn’t notice that
I thought you didnt have to do that with double action revolvers
@@heisenbooger Sadie had a cattleman
Maybe Micah noticed as he was acting more cocky than when he's facing John, he also took Sadie's mistake as the perfect time to signal Dutch starting the final standoff in the story
@@heisenboogerthe cattleman revolver is based on the colt 1873 which is single action only
This deserves much MUCH MORE ATTENTION. I can't believe I'm one of the first people to be watching such a masterpiece. Good job!
That means a lot to me, thanks for being here!
Yeah, some may say "its just normal gameplay" but with a game as realistic as this, its nice to know theres someone who plays it like I would, rather then running around wierdly, making it look just like the videogame it is, cuz we all know in real life we dont stare blankly ahead and walk into a wall, walk in place, spin, walk in circles for no apparent reason...its hard to explain, but Im sayin ur clip looks real good, especially all the good kills and the Micah one-tap
@@HANKSANDY69420 yeah but you cant just say something is what they say it is just because the author feels like it
@@MasterMIND-. wait what
Please explain, Ig Im too simple-minded to understand whatever mumbo-jumbo *that* was...
@@HANKSANDY69420 wtf are you on about
0:24 I feel like that is what it would be like to see john or arthur in action. You are a legend for pulling that off.
Considering the 3 drunken mexicans scene in RDR 1, that is the canonical way
0:30 "Micah Be- Uh, Mic- Ahh 😂
0:57 is one of those comedic movie moments were the henchman had no experience.
1:00
Your gameplay here was top notch.
Keep rewatching
An empty faked resume
I dont know about you guys but I was acutally so mad at Micah when doing this mission I killed Joe without even letting him the time to talk, I later realized its one of the conditions for gold achievement
Cool detail is that 6:33 dutch looks at micah after he says arthurs been dead a long time which I think made him realise what he did to arthur and how he messed up
I absolutely love playing this game with no reticle/ mini Map/ etc….. making a good shot on a human or while hunting with no dot in the way is so satisfying.
@BRUVVAA 1st person view is aiming down your barrel / iron sights.
third person is developing the feeling for it.
@BRUVVAA it isn't really hard once you try, I've played a lot of games without reticle and it's kinda intuitive to just feel the center.
@BRUVVAA yeah it just practice. side note.. dual wielding guns in first person will alsow have no reticle or ads. but its easy cause de reticle is allways dead centre
@BRUVVAA yea it’s all about just knowing where you’re at. If you have aim assist on you normally lock on in the middle of their chest. Headshots are basically muscle memory in third person, but in first person it’s all about tapping down on the D pad and just using the iron sights.
@BRUVVAA you’ll get it once you try man! I played all of red dead redemption and rdr2 with no reticle or mini map and I’m not gonna lie…. The missions where your accomplice is hanging from a rope and you have to shoot it to secure their safety are almost impossible with no reticle 🤣 Besides those very rare situations, I’ve gotten 100% more enjoyment and immersion from playing with no assistance.
“I hope you don’t disappo-“
*Bang*
This mission is amazing, with the chaotic ambience music, John screaming for Micah and killing all his gang members in the snow, it makes the scene truly legendary
I just love how Micah takes one right in the skull and staggers a few feet before falling dead lol
True Legend of the West with that 3x headshot hammer-fanning in the intro, good stuff, my dude.
I feel like Dutch wouldn’t have shot Micah if John wouldn’t have mentioned Arthur. Dutch knew that Micah killed Arthur and I suppose he couldn’t Just let his last “Son” die by Micah once again.
Dutch was there to kill Micah
@@alext399 yeah, Dutch was gonna kill Micah regardless of whether or not John had showed up. When John asks what he’s doing there, he says “Same as you, I suppose.” John’s there to kill Micah, Dutch knows that. Meaning that was his plan too. Micah was probably with Dutch to hand him over to the pinkertons. At least that’s how I’ve always looked at it.
he legit says "same as you, i suppose" meaning he was there to kill micah just like John
Well canonically, Micah just rapidly increased Arthur’s already approaching death.
The reason Dutch shot Micah was because he simply cant admit he was wrong, and its reflected with him walking off without saying a word to John just staring. Im sure deep down Dutch knew about it all, but knowing means admitting he made mistakes and that is something Dutch could never do.
It took a minute for my brain to comprehend that starting triple kill, well done
This is one of the best Legendary Rat hunt videos I've ever seen.
I'm obsessed with this mission (and your rendition of it!). Absolutely love the music too, gives me chills every time
3:45 i really don’t get how micah did so much shots and missed standing right in front of John, but when you have this shootout he hits you every time really precise from the bigger distance
Nerves, cold
@@plexyglass429 damn right on them nerves. rat lost his nerve when john came up that mountain, shoutin his name, killin his small army of a gang.
Also, the double action revolver's quickdraw is damage more thatn accuracy.
There’s the theory he is farsighted
the rdr2 story itself feels like a movie
Micah laughing with a bullet in his chest just shows how much of a psychopath he is
How much of a badass I'd say. The only *true* Outlaw in the RDR2 universe we've seen so far... aside from all the other side characters xD
Honestly, Micah is such a cool character - so good that he managed to get us to hate him!
Mf walked with a bullet in his head
I was thinking: imagine being Micah in American Venom. You came to know that your buddy Cleet was killed by a man and a woman. A few hours later you hear gunshots closer and closer to your hideout, and you hear your men screaming and dying while a man is running up the mountain screaming your name; but you're still calm because you have Dutch by your side. In the end, you find yourself in a shootout against the guy you never thought would come and search for you and right after you thought you won because of Dutch's arrival, you get shot in the stomach by the man you thought by your side.
Getting a taste of your own medicine
I always picked the defuse or greet option when talking to people, but for this occasion, the antagonize option was the best
That was really cool.
Certain spots would've been a lot better without American Venom blasting. Like when John's calling to Micah after you just killed all his men, everything quiet with the howling winds would've had a much stronger sense of tension
the music is so badass tho
This is a masterpiece
0:59 "You better not disappo-" 😵 bro was done dirty
0:23 this gotta be the cleanest kills i've ever seen
got goosebumps damn
Take that!
“Ain’t you got a habit of just showing up?”
“When I got something to take care of sure..” cold asf
this video is like a movie because John's ammo never ends
Really impressed by the three shots at the beginning
0:23 that was badass asf
This mission really is something out of a western film
Absolutely.
7:38 Buster Scruggs ahh death 💀
This is definitely the only other American Venom that isn't my own, which I consider to be one of the bests. Great triple at the beginning. Love the flank at 0:57, that bitch caused me endless restarts on my no damage runs. Only criticism is that the video itself is a bit over-exposed, super bright. But the aiming skills are there.
Good to see more people appreciating skill and finesse in RDR2, it's a rare thing but mostly appreciated through American Venom.
id say ive see one other video wich i do prefer when it comes to asthetic and western feel but this guy has better aim and the first three kills are amazing.

Yoo that triple at the beginning, legit had me say “holy fuck” out loud lmao
Dutch really looks like a young Santa clause
It's John Marston MICAH! 🗿
The mission that made everybody genuinely Happiest 🗿❤️
4:50 I like how Sadie starts freaking hyperventilating as soon as hears that voice
Let's just take a moment and appreciate that this guy mostly one shotted all of the enemies without using Dead Eye. 👍
this year i see this video in multiple times, you make it real master piece
Dude u got perfect aim man!.. brilliant video
The triple kill at the beginning makes you realzie how scary Dead eye truly is
this is the quietest video in youtube history, i thought my speakers were broken
This is that next level gameplay you put in the reveal trailer at E3.
Rdr2 is already a whole ass western movie itself 🤯
the music for the sequence is just perfection
"It's John Marston, Micah" 🔥
"You better not disappoi-"
Narrator: "He, in fact, did not disappoint."
The way you shot joe and the other two was perfection
Of course, i did this mission with arthur hat.
It is the law... 🤷🏻♂️
"you better not disappoint m-" that was funny
You are a god at gameplay just for that triple headshot
Rockstar: you missed once, silver
This is what a skilled gamer plays like. Unlike others who can't even see straight let alone shoot.
That’s why this game has auto-aim, no need to insult others who play like how they want to.

7:34 the shot was so perfect it made his hat do an upside down bottle flip

It would look cleaner if rockstar didn’t force two ten pound rifles on the players back before every mission involving a shootout
Very true, luckily in most you can get rid of them back to your horse
American Venom is just the perfect final mission.
Apart from when Sadie magically appears on the mountain
So cinematic to see john shot and repeating his lines over and over
I love how when Dutch shoots Micah it is very satisfying but it’s also just very bittersweet, Micah is finally gone but that time with the gang, that time with Arthur… it’s gone for good with only our memories of it
Some of the best scenes in video games and my second favorite mission.
I see no differences. Red dead will always be a movie for me

That triple in the beginning was literally within 2-3seconds lighting fast gunslinger.
I’d imagine a more realistic John would’ve died here, full of anger and desperation knowing Micah is there he has to take some bullets dealing with the whole gang. I can see him happy to see Micah do his shrug drop before John falls too
bruh dead shot be crapping his pants if he saw this aim
Siento una pena enorme por todas aquellas personas que jamás vivirán este momento tan épico y brutal, por que no les gustan los videojuegos. Top 10 de mejores momentos en el gaming.
Micah’s bullets are strong as hell
This is beautiful. Just a masterpiece.
The way Micah flops over like “welp” is just so funny to me
dutch didnt betray micah for the sake of it, when micah said arthurs been dead a long time dutch stared at micah and thats where i think dutch finally broke and regret what he did with arthur, so he trys to redeem himself to john by helping john resolve the gunfight
I love how dutch says "same as you" as if he was also there just to kill micah
I usually use special ammo for this mission so I can one-tap the enemies.
That triple shot and not using chewing gum. Amazingggg
I WANT A RED DEAD REDEMPTION MOVIE
Don't whisper words of hope in my ears, man...
I hate Micah as much as anyone but those guns clean as fk. Can’t blame him for killing half of strawberry for em.
That triple headshot at the beginning is harder than it looks.
When i got to that part, and saw Joe coming in front of me i didn't even let him start talking and immediately blasted. I wanted to avenge Arthur, why would i care about some background character
Micah:join us arthur
Arthur:ok ill catch you later then,ok well talk more later, ill leave you to it
I like to think that despite Micah dissing John all the time, he knew they were brothers in arms at one point and what each other are capable of when they set their sights on a goal. So Micah sends out his men in flocks to try and overwhelm John because he knows, given the terrain and their numbers its probably the best chance he has at stopping John. After all raids like these never scared the sons of Dutch, i think its why Micah stayed in the cabin as opposed to being hot headed and running straight towards John. That little quiet moment where John is outside the cabin must’ve been real interesting between Dutch and Micah. Also i love this little parallel
Cornwall: Ill do no such thing
Dutch: you sure? Good, i prefer it this way
Joe: you aint getting much further than right here
John: ahh, i was kinda hoping you’d say that
it would be amazing if red dead got its own TV series
1:00 That guy thought he was the main character
I also thought it was so funny how after Micha gets shot for the final time he just walks over a goes with his arms “guess I’ll die here”
Well, I might mistake, but I think it would look like real western film without subtitles. Still I think you made it very cool, especially that triple fast hand kill in start😳👍🏻
