In this Grasshopper tutorial, we produce a Voronoi Pattern based on Sunflower seed distribution. The technique we will use is the Maelstrom component to twist a series of straight lines so we'll not use the actual Fibonacci sequence to produce the Voronoi cells but it's a quick trick you can use to produce a pattern similar to it.

Awesome! Would be cool with random t parameters along all the curves divisions!

@@ParametricHouse It would be good to encourage people with how they can take your definitions further!

Hello! Why we add 2 components "dispatch" if it will work without them and the algorithm will be shorter?

Somehow the cull index doesn't work for me. I'm doing exactly what you are doing. I'm working in Rhino 5 latest version on the mac. Does anyone know if anything changed?? The points in the center don't disappear.
Edit: Nevermind, somehow I flattened the curve as well, causing my data to be garbled. It's fixed now! And the sunflower voronoi is going to be turned into a wonderful pen plot on my DIY pen plotter!!

@@ParametricHouse I have the same problem as my colleague with the Cull Index, only I can't solve it. In the previous point, only 143 elements appear, I have reviewed everything several times and the values of the sliders are identical. Where could the error be?

did you watch HandleBar3D video ? its very similar use of voronoi pattern but he uses it for the tire design.

Hey, am giving a try on the tutorial.
I inserted maelstrom, added first radius, but no change!!
    Even the planes are connected.

It depends on your model's scale. Remember radius2 > radius 1

Hi, I'm wondering how to set up the UI to both show symbols on components AND display their name with these pop-up "speech-bubbles" at the same time, as you have.
Can anyone Help me find the "speech bubble" setting so grasshopper will verbally name the components above, rather than on the components?
I have spent a lot of time looking for this setting but seem unable to find it...
