    Hello there...
    Do you find grasshopper scary? Do you think all tutorials out there are either way too complex or way too simple? Don't worry, I got ya covered - here is a bit more challenging tutorial for a beginner level grasshopper user. Maybe by the end of it - you'll even be able to 3D print out a (very impractical) sake cup for yourself.

    A great tutorial as always, although I do not understand everything I would like in English, I have been able to follow it perfectly. Tomorrow I will print it in 3D. Thank you

    great tutorial!! what if we use a weaverbird catmal clark for final smoother mesh

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  2 года назад +1

      Hmm - in this case I'm not sure if Catmul Clark subdivision would achieve any additional smoothness as these pipes already have 0-mean curvature.

    hi gediminas i admire ur work but i am wondering can we analyze this patterned surface with millipede? let me know. thx for everything.

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  2 года назад

      Yes, of course we can. But you don't need to analyze it to see that the structure would be weak, so could only work as a surface ornament/cladding

    Hey one question, why didn-t you print this file? Should it be printed with non planar settings ore something like that?

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  2 года назад

      This one is not that easy to print without supports - if I had to make this - I'd probably print it flat, heat ir up and bend it into a cylinder.

      @@DesignGoBrr @Gediminas Kirdeikis Hey so I tried to print it and it worked really nice. I applied the texture to a cylinder (100x40) and instead of 1x1 squares iI used 2x2 and send it to the printer. The pattern is still recognizible as well as the the picture I used in the image sampler. I got a a lot of stringing but It came out way better than what I thought it would. Thank you for the tutorial!

    Hello, i can't seem to be able to use dendro in rhino 7 ? is there an alternative to turn a 2D pattern into a volume in rhino 7 ?? Thank you

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  3 года назад +2

      Hmm, dendro seems to work just fine in Rhino 7. An alternative would be probably to use something like a MultiPipe tool. It may give you even better results.
