If they really wanted to help an Introduction to manufacturers to Government would have been enough. Instead they put themselves in the middle of the transaction so that can make money out of adversity. So any claim they have on doing the right thing is all bullshit. You Tube should clearly mark the whole "Documentary" as an infomercial. This needs to be at the start not at the end. I wasted my time. May have bill the Producer.

So, they both lied, and lied and lied, repeatedly, that PPE Medpro was not connected to them. She lobbied for a company not yet formed, to get contracts for PPE and her and her husband made over 35% Net Profit from a pandemic. £69m paid clear of any corporation or other taxes. She is still lying today and sadly the entire Tory VIP lane was a sham, to fill the pockets of Tory donors and VIPs. They were one of the worst, as their product was not fit for use. Cheap Chinese crap!

She is playing the victim and you can tell he is faking it. She was a leading manufacturer - reality is Ultimo went down the drain and left a wake of many unhappy people in the process. This is a program funded by them and therefore is their propaganda. Imagine stating “I did not know that VIP lane existed” is shameful. Also to state she’s uncomfortable doing an interview - that will be the first. Everyone will come to their own conclusions, I know mine.

60 minutes of defending the Mones - paid for by the Mones, followed by 10 minutes of the Baroness spouting guilty drivel about mental health problems and - bizarrely - claims of autism and dyslexia. So much for impartial investigative reporting; it seems the gravy train continues to pay out for the Baroness and her family. Just sickly sweet, soft investigation, desperately trying to shift the focal point from the obviously guilty party; PPE MedPro - and by association, the Baroness.

If anything it comes across as opinionated rather than factual, also it’s more of a deflection tool for Mone & Barrowman , trying to make them out as scapegoats and victims . Surely the first question put to these two should have been “ why did you deny having anything to do with Medpro , publicly and also through three sets of Solicitors “. This isn’t an Investigative piece , it’s a sycophantic storyline trying to muddy the waters .

What also comes over strong is people with zero sector experience getting contracts that involved medical specifications and no idea what they mean while well established companies offering their stock AT NORMAL PRICES could not get their calls returned and had to end up selling their stock to off shore governments.
This was exacerbated by Johnson refusing to join a EU led procurement effort to lever availability and competitive costing.

Wow I will certainly look at Mark Williams-Thomas' work differently from now on. His outcome is determined by who pays him & not whether they took advantage of price gouging during a pandemic. He stated the average price paid for a mask was 51p but where this "fact" comes from is dubious. The average is taken between April & May where he has likely "cherry picked" the "average". I bought these same specification masks myself in 2020 and paid around 31p per mask so I know that there were options available. At a volume of 210 million the 30% mark-up was daylight robbery. They were middle men in this transaction and took the tax payers to the cleaners. Meanwhile Doug "tax resident" on the Isle of Man complaining why the public shouldn't be reading about this in the newspapers.
