    Have you found any flint/chert in the wild? What is your favorite?

    The difference, if any, between chert and flint is argued about steadily even among petrologists. Some simply differentiate chert from flint by insisting that chert out of chalk bodies is the only true flint.

      Yeah, I thought so too! But happy I found one. Not a very good one, but it was there.

      I think I'm going to make a char cloth kit out of an Altoids box and keep it in there. That's an awesome idea
