Hi! That's really awesome that you're thinking about it early! I wouldn't say any big surprises other than during the process it's going to be a lot of work and research, which for me was both super exciting and exhausting. You're going to have to be independent and really plan out your future after studying abroad and what you need to do before to let yourself have the best time abroad (money wise/credits). If you have any specific questions you can msg me on insta @alex.rz11 and I'll be happy to help!

I always wanted to visit Japan but never got the chance to, when this study abroad opportunity was introduced to me I knew I had to take it. The atmosphere and the area are one of the biggest reasons for why I came to study here! It’s been a really remarkable experience and journey!

Thanks!!! I had 5 options that my university offered for exchange, they were: Sophia University, Ritsumeikan University, Hitotsubashi University, Nagoya University, and Hiroshima University. I chose Sophia University because of its location and the diversity of the student body! It’s been awesome and i’m glad I chose Sophia. Thanks for the video dude!!
Hopefully I’ll be doing 18 months at Sophia starting semester 1 2025 !
Do you have any experience or know a friend who’d have gone through the process of being prescribed ADHD medication (Concerta, Methylphenidate) as there’s a limit on how much I can bring into the country with my current script.
Would I have to get a psychiatrist in Japan to diagnose me again, or would a letter from my Psychiatrist saying “he’s doing intensive Japanese 1, and has ADHD so bad it can be considered AD4K” be enough to convince a Japanese doctor/specialist that I’m in genuine need of the prescription? (Especially doing Intensive Jp1 at Sophia!)
Sorry for the long ramble just hope you know someone who’d be able to give me some advice re this, as you are in the exact spot I wanna be in next year.
    動画を作ってくれてありがとうございました。

@@jacksondutton420 Hey man! That’s awesome you’ll be studying abroad here!! I don’t really have any experience or friends that have gone through the process. I would advise you to maybe bring something from your home doctor that will show what your needs are. I would also email Sophia now and see what they say instead of risking it and seeing what happens when you get here. It’s a new experience and you’ll definitely have to adjust to the new lifestyle. I found this link that might be able to help you more www.sophia.ac.jp/eng/campuslife/soudan/specialneeds/
Sorry I can’t help more! You do have time though so see what they say!
