I was there as well...This was two big & physical teams that got after each other's asses for the entire 60 mins of that football game...One of the most physical games I've ever seen...Reminded me of the Bama vs Lsu (Saban early years at Bama), that sometimes almost sounded like a car crash when they hit each other...I realize that most people hated the game that Lsu beat Bama 9-6...But that was one of the greatest games I've ever seen...EVERY YARD in that game meant a hell of alot...Great stuff
@@crmsntyde4ever428if only we had a competent offensive coordinator at the time, our Hokies would’ve been back in the championship race a few times at least. Unfortunately they always had strong defense and an inept offense after Mike Vick. Very lopsided team. Now we’re in rebuild mode Bigger schools would’ve sacked that coordinator but Beamer is a loyal guy
Bro Julio was a full GROWN man and and he was only a sophomore 😦. There are some WRs in the league who weren’t even as big as him at that time. Insane!
who knows if upchurch hadn't fumbled there is he might have been the back people were talking about after that game and then Richardson may not have even been a significant part of the offense.....interesting to go back and look at how small things could have altered history.
Eh, I doubt it. Trent Richardson was so physically gifted that it's hard to imagine a scenario where he's not force fed the ball just because of his natural talent.
Great job at 21:36 Brent! Foreshadowing big things to come! I remember a friend told me to take notice of number 57 before I even knew who he was. My friend said "Watch Dareus. He is sacking the quarterback, in the backfield, or being held."
Barrett Welch I got burned out making videos and decided to take a month-long break. However, during that rest time, I started having technical difficulties with my laptop. It decided to break on me and I haven't had time to go and get it fixed. Videos will resume as soon as possible.
I was there, it was such an exciting game... I miss our hokies being this competitive today... we’re just lucky they win
Ur talking to a vol fan here, we’ve got it worse 😂
@@aydentalbott9509 yea you guys used to be top 10 all the time too 😂
@@charliedallachie3539 I was too great game to be at even tho my team lost lol

I still say he was the best all around WR in college history. His blocking was out of this world, something he doesn't get credit for enough.
this was an amazing game both teams deserved their rankings
I was at that game ima VT fan but yall had an amazing team that year I can't believe we held up to the 3rd
One of the stadiums as a Bama fan want to get to go to a game at
There are countless NFL players in this game
Keepin it Country yep Julio Jones and Tyrod Taylor among others I can’t keep track of
@@charliedallachie3539 yea including Kam Chancellor, Mark Ingram, two VT freshmen RBs in this game were drafted Day 1.
Mainly on Alabama
@@jacobdozier2697 not true. Tyrod Taylor, jason worilds, kam Chancellor, Jarret Boykin, ryan williams and the db/punt returner drafted by the Giants.
Yeah except for this year Alabama plays great non conference teams. This was a great team here

Back when their defense was good
We roll with the tide !!!!!!!!!☆
Man, are you done posting videos? It's been 3 weeks. Still waiting on that Alabama-Ole Miss game from 2003 if you've got it

Can you upload a Marcus Vick game
Ingram punished kam chancellor. Bet we'll see more of that. And upchurch was the man. Great vid
Upchurch might've wanted to learn how to follow a blocker. But he sure was entertaining to watch!
Remember the name, Marcel Dareus. Colt McCoy fors
back when bama had a kicker
