Just discovered your channel! I regularly do Pantry Challenges and like to see how many meals I can produce before I have to go shopping. Towards the end this can result in some strange meals. Our most bizarre one yet was fish fingers, sweetcorn and cous cous but hey we ate nutritional food and didn't starve.
I like to just see what i can find in, with having riley and him being only 9 months i do have to go often for bits and pieces for him, and i cant just grab what i need, i always look round the shop 😂 so i cant do the pantry challenge often but i did manage to get through alot of stuff that had just been sitting in the cupboard and freezer so thats a definite bonus 🥰
Absolutely! It's good to use up what you have before replacing with more stuff. On any Pantry Challenge I still have to buy fresh milk, fruit and veg but it's amazing how long you can last without having to buy extra stuff. It really helps if the people you live with support your aim too and don't mind the strange food combos that are often inevitable.
@@LittlePinkPiggy1 exactly, I had a lot of milk in the fridge so didn't actually have to buy anything as we had a lot of fruit in that needed using up, on one of the days, Jamie realised we had peas three times on one meal 😂
Thank you so much for the kind words, exactly with how things are that is the most important thing isn’t it that everyone is fed, i try and clear my freezer every few months just for rotation of the food 🥰 so less waste xxx
Hi Hannah, this is Sue, l have been doing this pantry challenge as well, l am on day 10, and l am hopping to last a good month, other than having to get some essentials, eg milk, eggs, fruit, and thats about it. l have a huge freezer that needs some cleaning out as well as my pantry to be emptied, l like to stock up late summer so have enough to go through the winter. Keep up the good work and keep going.
my mum works in a chicken factory, so she has the opportunity to get reduced chicken and that so I had so much in my freezer I managed to get through a lot of the stuff I had, I watch so many video of people that meal plan and then go shopping and stick to their list and only buy what they need but im a sucker for picking things up I don't need, I like trying new things so I always find stuff hiding in the back of the cupboard and in the deep freeze😂

Honestly i was surprised, you can always manage to find little gems at the back of the cupboard that you have forgot to about
