Do you know something mum used to do with me, when we’d go out,if we went to town, rather than treating me to something ‘new’, she’d take me to a charity shop & let me choose a toy & a few books (I loved books as a kid, total bookworm!) - they were pence, I didn’t care, it was new to me, & I remember books without the spines even being broken! And a ‘treat’ was going to the library with the big sit on wooden train, omg lol I’d have a field day, & she got a library pass so I could check some out. It was a way of feeling like I had something new without over consumption, as she’d take them back to a charity shop to get more out (unless I really loved it, then I kept it!) I kid you not, mum picked up a first edition Harry Potter book, one of the children’s ones, for my niece / nephew - she had no idea it was first edition until she looked, spine not even broken!! It’s worth something! My mum was so brilliant at bargain hunting lol. I inherited so many shampoos from Dad’s house when he passed away, I have so many to use, hardly like they go off is it?! So I have plenty to work through. I just have to buy conditioner. I *hate* having more than I need as I get overwhelmed lol I don’t know how people do it. I have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a face wash, body puff & flannel. That’s it. I have 1 body moisturiser & 1 body spray moisturiser (because im disabled I can’t reach my back!! So it’s for that!), a face & eye cream, & a foot cream as I’m diabetic so have to look after my tootsies. Other than deodorant I don’t have anything else! I know people who have MOUNDS of face stuff, surely that’s not healthy putting that much on?! I dunno. My mum only used Nivea on her face, the Nivea soft in the white tub lol she swore by it! I’m like you with food though.. I pack my cupboards & freezer full & im on my own! I think it’s a panic thing for me as I can’t just get out as I don’t drive, but yeh, I’m using what I’ve got now. Just a few tips for the white sauce that my beautiful mum gave me..& you totally can ignore it if you’d prefer! No need to sift flour, flour these days is pre sifted (save yourself the washing up 😁), but.. my mum was taught to cook in the 50’s at school.. she was taught (this is depending on amount of roux / white sauce you make, if doubling or tripling, add about extra teaspoon or two.. taste as you go!) - try adding Colmans mustard! It isn’t spicy, I PROMISE! I can’t stand spice! Think of it as an umami flavour, it enhances the cheesy flavour!! If you’re worried, pour an amount in a separate saucepan to try it on 1 lasagne next time you make them, see what you think! I promise it’s amazing, total game changer (you can do this for all white sauces - for cauliflower cheese, macaroni cheese etc!) I hope you’re having the most amazing time in disney 🥰 it’s been my dream to go since I was a child, unlikely to ever go now so I’ll live precariously through you! Love & blessings! Xx

They a have some lovely Easter bits, those wooden garlands were very pretty. I have not been in HB this year, trying to stay away so I don't spend any money. It's so easy to go in there and buy things you never knew you needed (or wanted) XX

Oh my god Hannah!! Try those scotch eggs in the airfryer! I think I popped them on 180C, airfryer setting for 7-8 mins. GAME CHANGER! I bought some to have some picky dinners, but realised I can’t stand cold scotch eggs 😂 I checked on the back & you can absolutely cook them (I’ve always bought & cooked the larger ones!) - omg! SO tasty. Bit addicted now lol. I bet you’re getting excited now for Disney! x

I done the same as you Hannah cleared out my kitchen cupboards, And I also cleaned my bedroom. I’ve not done much cleaning over Christmas, But today I thought right I’m going to tackle this house 🏠, when my kids were little I use to love ❤️ colouring and painting with my kids with colouring books it was great fun 😊😊😊

Do you have a dehumidifier? They are excellent for dealing with mould developing, we have bought one recently, it helps dry the washing as well, and honestly the cost of the running is very good. Keep your cupboard door open for a while during the day, it probably is quite tight fitting and keeps the cold in, same with most fitted cupboards.

Aww Hannah I feel you! My lad has autism and everytime we go to the park there’s always other kids who stand and take the piss out of him not caring that I’m there. It’s heartbreaking to see. It really puts me off going 😢 xx
