A tip my mum gave me if I don't have tomato puree use ketchup. Works well in need dishes. Mum wish puts baked beans in cottage pie ( I loathe baked beans) your veggie recipes always look fab
Eds face at the veggie lasagna was like most men's faces when there is no meat. 😂 With the bread maker paddle the only way I know is to take it out after it's been mixed but before it's cooked. Is absolutely nothing better than homemade bread with homemade soup. 🤤
The veggie lasagne looked yummy! I haven't madevlasagne for a couple of years but it's one of my favourites and i need to make it soon!...and you guessed right, my little delights won't eat it 🙈😵
Lasagne looked amazing !! Ed was so funny in his 'review' 😂 Guess who now has a chest freezer 🤘🤣 Ooo the bread maker paddle thing is the reason. i no longer have a bread maker !!! I had an epic fail, so sent the bread for my dads chickens forgetting the paddle was in the bread .. which in turn got lost at the allotment 😂😂
Ooh that’s so exciting that you got one! I don’t know how I would survive without mine. That’s so annoying about the paddle. Maybe you can find a decent machine on Facebook market place? Or British Heart foundation shops often have electronics I’ve noticed xx
I think your bread looked terrific! As for the prune/sweet potato in your soup, it just maybe might have been perhaps payback for vegetarian lasagna, lol, (which also looked so good!). What do you make the white sauce for it out of? Oh, and did you find any good kiwi recipes? Hope the weekend was a good one, Claire. We have sunshine today, at last, and cool weather. Perfect!
Haha maybe it was payback. The sauce is my version of a bechamel (I’m sure someone would say it’s not the traditional way of doing it and get cross 🤣). I make a roux then when the flour and butter is nice and combined with the milk and it’s started to thicken I add a tea spoon of whole grain mustard and a generous handful of grated cheese. More grated cheese on top and there you go! Freyja are through the kiwis before I could make kiwi jam 🤣 xx
@@mumthings Don't you mind people getting cross. They are just tired or lonely or ran out of tea -- I know they are tiresome, but the rest of us are here thinking you are a treasure---so busy, sometimes so tired, and willing still to share bits of your world, always with your marvelous sense of humour. Your sauce sounds just as I make it except I use Worcestershire in it and "smooth" mustard! (Good on the kiwi queen!)
i dont have a freezer which is equal parts lovely and annoying. I dont ever have to to freezer clear out, and there is usually enough space in the fridge ice box bit for stuff i freezer. However, i often have to make trade deals with the person who requires a big tub of ice cream always available if i want to buy a bag of frozen green beans, which i like. Never actually tried fresh one that I am aware of. Cool you are getting to the end though, and what u doing with the rhubarb? tart or crumble or pie?? x
@@jonap5740 thanks for the tip. yeah I have a feeling I would like it fresh, just need to give it a go - which i will soon cos there has been ice and ice cream hogging the ice box for months haha
Ah I’m not sure I’d be able to sacrifice ice cream for more space 🤣 fresh green beans are brilliant but they don’t tend to keep long in the fridge. I’m ashamed to say I’m not the biggest fan of cooked rhubarb. My plan is actually to make rhubarb and strawberry wine with it! Xx
I'm so glad you found your bread in that crazy place! Who knew bread would be in the bread bin 🤣
I know 🤦🏻♀️ what kind of monster puts things where they are supposed to be 🤣 xx
I love Ed’s sense of humour he’s ace 😂 x x
🤣 he says thank you. He puts up with a lot bless him xx

That’s a great tip!! We aren’t short of ketchup in this house (toddler rules) xx
Great video. That homemade Gluten-free bread looks fantastic!
Thank you! It was so good xx

That’s a great idea! I will have a go at digging it out after it’s done mixing. Thanks! Xx
That's a good tip! 👍
Have a great week ahead looking forward to the next one :)
Thank you, you too! Have a great week xx
Rrrrr bless Ed...his face said it all.....xx
He’s a patient man 🤣 xx
You can actually remove the paddle from the breadmaker after the second rise, I do that all the time now, hope that helps.
That’s genius! It never occurred to me to do that. I will give it a go next time I make some, thanks! Xx

Aw that’s a shame they won’t eat eat. One day I’m sure they will! Treat yourself though 😊 xx
Hello there 😃 Ed was so sweet about the veggie lasagna 😊😊

Loved Ed’s review. Anything I cook that’s vegetarian my hubby says ‘it’s nice but would be better with some meat’ 😂❤
What is it with men thinking they need to be carnivores 🤣 xx
@@mumthings cave men 😆
❤❤❤
Ed was lol
I call that polite/nice without cutting his throat and never having a meal given to him ever again hahaha
🤣 never upset the chef of the house 🤣 he was very diplomatic xx
@@mumthings lol- that’s what they say 🤪😁 xx
I remove the paddle when the proving is done
Genius! I’m definitely going to try doing that xx
I love veggie lasagne but my husband would only want a meat version. I go for a veggie one when out if it’s on the menu.
Me too! Although I never see gluten free lasagne on menus sadly xx
@@mumthings that’s a pain. They really do need to increase their gluten free options as when I think about it there really isn’t much choice.

🤣 run out of tea, love that! Thanks lovely 😊 that’s very kind xx
Just oil the paddle
That’s a good idea, will give it a go xx
Have you tried bread in the air fryer x
I haven’t no, I tried baking a cake in it once and it was a disaster! Xx

I was eyeing up that rhubarb also! So many possibilities! Fresh green beans are absolutely lovely. Try them!

Bread maker bread always requires furtling in its undercarriage in my many years of using one 🍞
Haha fury long in it’s undercarriage 🤣 I love that xx
😂Eds a hard man to please
Haha! He knows what he liked, which is everything except vegetarian food. It's annoying as I'd eat veggie most of the time but hey ho xx
That lasagna was super healthy. Good on you! @@mumthings
'Course, I'd be happy for chocolate cake on your channel, too!
Good because we bake pretty often too 🤣 all about balance! Xx
