    I've been cooking a lot of food in one day then cooling it and freezing it. Then I can eat for about 3 weeks, maybe 4, without cooking again... been doing that for 2 or 3 years. :) Nice show!!

    Omgosh, when the blender exploded I gasped, then laughed and watched again lol I’ve done that before, a few times 😂 Even had smoothie on my ceiling before 🤣 And I love Becky! She’s inspiring and got me to try making Kombucha for the first time & I’m hooked! And because of you I make my own granola all the time! I haven’t bought store bought in ages 😊 I also make my own sunflower seed butter too. Money saving and just plain yummier. Thanx!

      @TheConscientiousEater  Год назад +1

      That’s exactly the reaction I hoped for! Glad you could find humor in my messes…and also relate! And so fun you’re making kombucha because of Becky! She actually just taught me how you can start your own scoby which is so helpful. And yum! Homemade granola is the best ☺️☺️

    • @MessyPaperCrafter
      @MessyPaperCrafter Год назад

      @@TheConscientiousEater Yup! I grew my scoby from scratch, as it were. So satisfying. I also have a scoby hotel going too. I just put my newest batch in the fridge. 2 mulberry(berries from my own tree!), 2 mango & 2 strawberry! Can’t wait to start tasting them tomorrow.
      I learned a great trick from you on how to bake my granola without having to stir it halfway through & that’s what makes it so easy for me to make on a consistent basis!

      @@MessyPaperCrafter Oh I bet that was so satisfying! I'm trying to get my sister-in-law to make her own kombucha by starting her own scoby. Glad to know it actually works! And I love that no-stir granola trick. Works every time!

    We finally got a zwilling starter kit and loved it so much we immediately ordered many more of the storage bags. And let me tell you I use them for storing freezing and refrigerating everything. I just rinse them and inside out dry them overnight to reuse. The ones I buy now are only for putting my husbands lunches in the few times it’s something I can’t it into his glass container.

    Great video, as always. I bet we have all had blender incidents like that-I know I have. At least it wasn’t anything that would stain if let until later to clean.
    With your make ahead soup, I wonder if it would be easier to freeze just the veggies and any spices and add liquid to Instant Pot at time of cooking. The bag would take up less space in freezer and thaw faster.

      80 percent plant based. There is a lot of confusion about beganism and what it means. The definition of veganism: A lifestyle that avoids all animal foods such as meat, dairy, eggs and honey; animal derived products like leather; and, as far as possible, products tested on animals. Veganism us an ethical stance while plant based is typically for health though I am an ethical plant based vegan.
      People who leave the vegan lifestyle (it is not a diet) behind typically were never in it for the animals.

    Excellent as always. My heart went out to you when the blender mess happened
    . Sheesh! Over the years I’ve purchased silicone bags when they would go on sale. I also save all my bags from things like your cashew bag. (oats, seeds, nuts, rice,bags, etc.)I cut off the tops to make a smooth edge and then rinse them out to use for the fridge or freezer. I have not bought a single ziplock bag in years now. I use rubber bands and or clothespins to seal them.
