Looks great. In hind sight you Gould be just used a grinder and done some plunge cut slits instead of leaving out the space for the vent. I just bought a house and think I’m gonna do this for my kitchen counters. Hopefully it doesn’t become a disaster lol

Hey Jake, thanks for the suggestion. So I'm clear, your saying to skin the whole box with the concrete faux stone and use a plunge router with a masonry bit to cut the square vent hole out ? The tile are thick and uneven might be a struggle. But doing fiber optics on your kitchen counter would be awesome! good luck. Hit me up if you need more advice, glad to help

@@IfAlexCan yeah that’s what I would do. Or just plunge it with a diamond blade on an angle grinder. I’ve done it before in bathrooms to make air vents instead of putting in the white metal ones. But yeah I’m pretty excited to try it. I think I might try to make a dining room table first for a trial run. The only issue I really see with the kitchen counters will be I guess I’ll have to string up the fiber optics and pour the concrete and then come back after it dries and cut them and resurface the concrete. I don’t really see any other way to do it since I’ll be pouring them in place on the counters lol. Unless you have another suggestion

If your going to try pour in place with fiber optics you'll need to somehow suspend each optic strand facing upright in wet concrete (this is the hard part). Then trim and finish after it's dry.

Very very nice job! I love the light strands. Nice touch. I'm scared of the "p" type of gas. Used to only do wood. However, I only want the "forbidden word" table, for this upcoming season. So, I have to face my fears. Your video, and ☀️ makes people want to do more than any other time of the year! 👍 Great job! 😉

Always wanted to do something like this. Just don’t have the experience Awesome job! Only question I have is this table hooked up to a gas line or is this a 20lb tank hook up? If so how do you change out the tanks?

I used straight line gas. I've seen others make it taller to fit a tank.

To build that project what would you say your budget was? Just a rough estimate

Where did you source your control panel for the gas? I can only find a spark ignition and key combo rather than the one you have with a control knob. Great video!
