Even as someone who's not as well versed in playing the piano as you are, the improvement you made over the past 2 years of playing this piece is as clear as day and night. You are overwhelmingly more confident, make seemingly no mistakes, and actively look better when playing. Congrats on staying motivated to continue improving on your ability to play this piece over all this time!
Thank you so much! It's been quite a challenge keeping up motivation all this while, and there have been times where I wondered if I was even making progress. I'm very glad the effort is visible in the difference. It gives me the incentive to continue :)
@@lightningbolt4419 I suppose you would be correct if it was actually a piece at my level when I started it. But you have to keep in mind that back when I started playing this piece, I was self taught and had never played on a grand piano.
im 13 and 8 years of playing piano. I learned this piece when I'm 10 but I forgot it, now I'm trying to recover and learn again. It's actually pretty easy though you just have to learn your fingerings. Fantaisie-Impromptu is one of Chopin's secret works, he doesn't want us to know but THIS MASTERPIECE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE IT sounds so Romantic!
I love the pacing, it shows that he's listened to and understands the song, and is able to play what he wants to hear. The few mistakes will easily be ironed out. I need to adopt pacing like this, when I play the peace it sounds robotic and even. Good job 👏 👍
Just a little heads up. You probably shouldn't start learning Chopin until about 3 years of piano (but, those are just numbers, so if you want of course you can :D), let alone Fantaisie Impromptu 😅. I would recommend either starting off with some of Chopin's easier pieces, or maybe no Chopin at all until a little while. Mozart is a good composer to start with! But, this is just my opinion so if Fantaisie Impromptu works for you, go for it!
This is beautiful I love it when I find new channels play especially ones that upload to recently not like after year or they quit but yeah. I subbed can’t wait to see more cool videos I can’t wait to play this one day too.
idk why everyones hating in the comments m. Yes he made mistakes, yes he didnt play the full 5 minutes, but at the same time he played this better than 99% of people and this piece is very challenging.
You did such an amazing job, every time I listen to it it's just even more beautiful, it literally brings a tear to my eye, I wish I could play it, but I'm not that good yet
holy shit bro, i look up to you so much! I’m self taught and love erratically choosing a difficult piece and going ham on it until I complete it every couple of months, and I’ve been playing this one for about two days and this pops up in my recommended, just subscribed
im self taught and can only barely manage rondo alla turka by Mozart after a couple of months. I hope to one day play this piece, but it will definitely take time. thanks for sharing this!
I would suggest watching Cyprien Katsaris' Masterclass for Fantasie Impromptu on youtube. I learned this piece and that video helped a lot with understanding how to interpret it better! Well done :)
How long do did it take you to learn this? And do you think its possible for someone who's highest difficulty piece is Debussy Arabesque no 1 to learn at least the first 20 seconds of this piece? I don't think I can even with professional help but I need an expert's opinion so do you think I could?
Hi! It took me 2 weeks to learn the notes back in the day, but I've been improving upon it for 2 years until it got to this point. If you're playing the Arabesque, you certainly have a lot of the basics of piano playing in place. I think that you can reach Fantaisie Impromptu after a couple of years of lessons with a good teacher. It is possible! Also, keep in mind that paying fast requires a slightly different approach and technique. Many people need to get over the mental roadblock of playing fast. Good luck!
@@blizzardpiano Thanks man! I'm gonna keep working on my skill, right now I'm learning maple leaf rag once I finish that ill do claire de lune and keep going up slightly until i can get my parents to get me a teacher and one day be able to play one of the hardest pieces like faintaisie impromptu or la campanella.
Wow I just saw your first vid on this piece and I can definitely say that you have improved so much especially in your phrasing. I would just say to practice the piece in a more consistent tempo to make the piece sound more fluid
Nice performance, do make sure that your left hand is completing the downward parts of the arpeggios as some got missed. It's fun to try and play this piece really slowly with no timing errors as it gets harder the slower you go, not sure if that helps with playing it fast but fun none the less. Keep up the good work!
Really, wow! Thats so impressing to see that someone is actually playing one of the hardest chopin pieces! I really like to see what other pieces will you upload in the future :)
@@blizzardpiano bro... I have been playing piano for 10 years (granted, not all of them 100% active) and I'm just learning this now... that's amazing that you can play it so well
@awhi I overhauled a lot of my technique and understood how to interpret scores far better once I got a teacher. I would say I progressed much quicker with a teacher than without. I couldn't really read sheet music when I was self-taught. I knew the basics and could painfully decode music, but had zero fluency.
I'm self taught pianist of basically almost a year and I got to say the way you play this song makes me wanna to learn this song. It might be out of my skill range but I'll try see if I can find any techniques to help along the way great playing
