- This video will review the steps for a routine change of a pouching system for ostomy care. Pouching system changes should be planned events and at scheduled times. They should not be based solely on leaks.
Never see this type of bag before, just the one that you cut with scissors. Great job explaining that nursing skills, specially for visual learners like myself 👏👏👏

I have to remark on the fact when cleaning around stoma, should be teaching to keep something on top of stoma because it will poop and all that will have to be redone....just a thought💗

Ostomy nurses, make it sound so easy, they need to have actual people that deal with it to teach people. Nurses do not train you properly. Text books don’t help.
I have been in St, Michael's many times. Sometimes they have ostomy's and sometimes not. Their training is the same. Does a surgeon need to have had a heart attack in order to do heart surgery?
