Dimash wanted a prayer for the world, so he called up Igor Krutoy and this is the magic they made. A Christian hymn, composed by a Jewish man, and sung by a Muslim man. Truly, a prayer for the world.
This version of “Ave Maria” is a variation adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note.
At the end, the advanced vocal technique:“Messa di Voce “ (from Italian Bel Canto technique) at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Two recent Dimash performances definitely worth reviewing are him singing with Placido Domingo and him performing his own song Omir with his brother. Then for another totally different level of his range, Olympico.

Мне кажется, что он обделен этим, не оценен... Хотя со стороны простых зрителей и слушателей во всем Мире он очень любим и популярен. У Димаша огромная фанбаза практически во всех уголках планеты. И это настоящие поклонники очень преданные и постоянные. Димаш называет их diars, что означает не олени, а ДОРОГИЕ. Dimash is just great, isn't he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request.
Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to.
Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians.
He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury.
Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favorite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

This was written by Igor Krutoy at the request of Dimash. I believe it is a vocalize because Dimash did not want it seen as a Christian song. He loves and respects his audience and Dears and he wanted this to be accessible to all, regardless of faith tradition. He believes music has no borders or boundaries.

Two weeks prior to this, Dimash called Maestro Krutoy and asked him to compose
an Ave Maria as a vocalization.
Dimash is a Muslim so not into a Hail Mary words composition, just the music.
Igor said it unsettled him momentarily but spoke that he could do it, went to his piano and two weeks later. Voila!
Igor is an older, phenomenally wealthy Russian Jew so the dynamics between him and Dimash are as complex as the music they produce together.
He's sung the money part of the Queen of the Night Aria. He was off camera, up a flight of concrete stairs, and singing along as the videoer was miming Dimash's voice.
Igor Krutoys Family is of Jewish descent, Dimash is Moslem, the choir sounds Christian, the Instruments at the beginning sound Hindu/Budistic. An Ave Maria, for every Human beiing! It is Dimashes message that all people around the world are equal! 💗

I have to admit that I'm frequently grateful to just be an average music listener that I can just sit back and enjoy the beauty of Dimash's performances without an overwhelming need to discover what key he's in or what note he's singing to distract me from the aural experience.

Dimash's newest song, When I've Got You, is his first R&B/Jazz/Soul Performance and he nailed it. The official video of it is coming out on his official channel on Feb. 26th. Don't miss his awesome masterpiece, Story of One Sky, a music video which he wrote, composed and sang.As a composer yourself, you will appreciate two of several of his compositions, Unforgettable Day written when he was only 19, and his unique , amazing performance of El Amor En Ti, his first composition in Spanish. I feel remiss not listing every one of his songs. Each is a thrilling, mesmerizing experience. His versatility is incredible as well as his voice range. I listen to Dimash every day as often as I can. You also will want to listen to his duet with Placido Domingo performed as part of the Virtuoso Event in Budapest recently. It is gorgeous.

Apparently, people have been educating or writing to you for a while or even "riding" you here.😊. The most difficult thing is to pick your next one. Based on your list and who you are, it's Stranger or Olympico that will drop that jaw again of yours pretty easily, if that's what you want. Then they're sagas and tributes and such a variety from Dimash that it's hard to recommend to have you catch up with The GOAT and his goosebumping jaw-dropping performances.

Besides being a singer, Dimash is also a composer. He just released a piece he wrote, “Omir”, in which he plays the piano and sings while his brother accompanies him on the guitar. Very interesting and different chord progressions, as a composer you will enjoy..

You should react to some of Dimash’s own compositions, my favourites are El Amor En Ti (Dimash’s Amalty concert 2022, shows his beautiful lower registers (as well as his higher!)), The Story of One Sky (Live also at his Amalty concert 2022), Omir (Dimash wrote the music and the lyrics (Live performance released a few days ago (Feb 2024) with Dimash’s 17 year old brother on Acoustic guitar and Dimash on Vocals and Keyboard)

From my point of view, I cannot make a top ranking of Dimash's songs, the original ones, regardless of the composer (Igor, Dimash or someone else), leaving aside the covers. I come back to the idea, so I can't make a top. Why? Simple: each song by Dimash has a different theme, a different melodic line, different feelings, different tonalities. Each track is unique in lyric, interpretation, musical essence and message. If you listen to one, you like it more, if you listen to another, you like it even more, you can't decide because you can't. There are pieces with a religious touch, patriotic pieces, pieces of love, pieces of courage etc. If in an interview Dimash was asked what song he likes, I don't know what answer he would give... Almost all of them are masterpieces. It is as if Dimash is a father of dozens of children. I don't think he could tell a difference between them. Each piece has its place in time and space, it is appropriate in a certain context, event. Each song takes you on a certain journey, be it magical, be it angelic, be it love or be it a story, either sad, or happy, or fighting, or patriotic. We have to be consistent and say that all the pieces are exceptional, not one can be compared to another, because a parent loves all his children the same!!! Second:
Dimash is a miracle, so his absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Actually it is a collaberation of Dimash and Igor Krutoy, igir came out of retirement especisllybto work with Dimash's voice. Dimssh phoned Igor one evening saying he wanted to donhis versuon of ave maria. They spent time discussing n sharing their ideas. Hving cum to a consensus igor set to n followed upmon the discussion. So this is their collaboration.

To put it in context:
He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note.
Total Dimash range is G0-D8. By the way, a D8 is a couple of keys past the high end of a piano. And, I believe his Vocal Fry is off the low end of the keyboard.
If they don't watch a Dimash performance, many people think that there are two or three other people on stage singing different parts of the same song. Leave it to Dimash to develop a way to make that come true:

He's actually much stronger in the low range than he showed in SOS, especially recently. I won't recommend anything in particular as he never disappoints.
You have to react to Placido Domingo and Dimash singing pearl fisherman. You will see that Dimash could be one of the best Tenors in the world, if that was what he wanted to do.
Welcome back to Dimash’s excellent singing. What a pleasure to have someone with your knowledge to listen analyze and enjoy this young talent. I know as you equip young college students to achieve their musical best you have a deep appreciation for all Dimash’s work to be this excellent in his late 20’s. I hope you find time to listen and enjoy more of Dimash’s catalog. There is no genre he has not performed. Just recently he performed with Placido Domingo and the respect in the duet not to overpower was impressive. If you want to see him using the mid eastern type scales I suggest stranger.
