Ali Penn Bentley wasn’t really kidding. Those robots are surprisingly good at acting like real water towers. Contessa did a really good job making these things.
Jean Bison has got to be one of the best villains in the game. His motives aren't as one dimensional as the other ones and he was able to single handedly beat the entire cooper gang literally in one swing of his staff. No one else in all 4 games could do that.
"After reading the log chopping guide, its become painfully clear that to win in the lumberjack games, We'll have to cheat." now that is a good comedic sentence.

So many good memories. I remember being so shocked at the ending the first time I played this game. I just bought this game on Amazon to relive some childhood nostalgia. Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves was $30 Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus was $12 Sly Cooper 3: Honor Among Thieves was $11 Amazon sellers KNOW that this one was the best haha
lynchie137 2:05:29 to 2:06:31 After watching this cutscene involving Sly and Neyla, did you find it hilarious that "If you'd like some excitement why not climb up on top of the train? I'm sure to get your heart pumping, maybe even show you my new ride." and "What's the problem Poodle? Afraid you can't take me on? Have to call up your little friends for help?" were both sexually suggestive dialogue by Neyla, when she encountered Sly. Man, I sure hope Sly 5 is probably going to be set in an alternate timeline because most of today's younger generation have no idea who Sly Cooper is or what the Sly Cooper video game franchise was really about back in the 2000s decade. Maybe Neyla might return then, because she seemed pretty underrated for a female character who ultimately unfortunately had to turn into a devious evil bitch without any history with the Cooper Family (Sly's family). It's been said that Neyla's backstory (leading up to her treacherous persona in Sly 2) stemmed from being abused and mistreated as an orphan from New Delhi, India until an adoptive father brought her up and raised her; but filled her head in the process with dreams of power and getting back at the world for mistreating her. Probably more of a 'the world hurts me, so I hurt back' sort of thing. That's just about the only theory I assume about Neyla turning out to be a devious backstabber bitch who is only acting the way she was in Sly 2 was stemming from her bad childhood.
No she was only acting that way because she wanted to make her way to be immortal. She wanted to live as clocklaw so she’d never die. She was afraid of death it was never for money or anything all she wanted was to be an evil indestructible object!
I have a head canon that Carmelita's accent constantly changes because, being that she is an Interpol operative, that also means going undercover and disguises and all that sometimes too, depending on the job. Of course it's obvious that because her VA keeps changing from game to game, but it makes sense to think she has a voice coach or something in-world, that taught her the American accent for certain cases. Maybe Sly 2 was her just practicing the entire time XD
“We’re gonna bug Rajan’s office… with a bug?” Bugception. In all seriousness, this is my favourite funny line. How Sly says it is so dang perfect. I ALWAYS laugh, I just can't stop myself. Edit: Here's a time stamp for you all, 49:25

@@thomasblossombeautySly is always flirting with every girl in his world he meets because he’s a real hit lady's men are on fire indeed, and it’s the curse that has a charm like this.
***** The gameplay for Sly 2 had more of a darker and edgier feel, whereas Sly 1 had more of a Crash Bandicoot and the classic Super Mario Bros. gameplay feel. By the way, I hope a potential Sly 5 game would probably be a re-telling of the first three Sly Cooper games with several of the plotlines being altered, for better or worse for some characters in a second (alternate) timeline. And I really have to wonder what would've been if Neyla hadn't betrayed the Cooper Gang at the end of Episode 3: The Predator Awakes in India, near Rajan's spice temple. She probably doesn't really suit the part of Arpeggio's protege knowing what happened to him when Neyla betrayed him too, and merged herself with the Clockwerk frame/body which should've been meant for Arpeggio since the poor bird was too small to even fly and had been bitter about his upbringing. P.S. Neyla seems to perfectly fit the true description of a true neutral character in Sly Cooper lore, and who else can I think of that are actually fitting of the true neutral side like Neyla, ... and let's say, Penelope and Muggshot are the other two since Muggshot is the most badass Fiendish Five villain outside of Clockwerk, and Sanzaru actually made Penelope into an ungrateful specter who only likes Bentley but hates Sly. I'm pretty sure Neyla would like Sly but hate the others like Bentley, Murray and Carmelita.
***** When I said and meant by darker gameplay, I really meant the overall plotline for Sly 2 being contrasting from Sly 1 like you just said before I replied to you.
I think, for me, it's the whole interlude with the Contessa where the group is torn apart and turned on each other that makes it darker. Becauae Sly and the gang pretty much got away with everything in the first one, except for a minor scuffle with Clockwerk, but they'd never actually done time for all of their crimes, nor were they divided.
I love how while Neyla, Carmelita and the Contessa are having a serious argument about getting Carmelita arrested, they have to talk over the sound of birds chirping near Rajan xD I keep half-expecting Neyla to just look at them and yell "SHUT UP!"" xDDD
i was just thinking this, about to comment and saw my comment. apparently 20-30 was 1 year ago. that makes this 50+. i grew over pokemon but this series just keeps following me.
*Now wait a bloody minute!* I mean, *Objection!* At one hour mark... 1:03:09 the presented photograph shouldn't be sufficient to recognize Sly! Yes, soon afterwards Carmelita would find out it was him, as that's when his cover was officially blown. But how then would Nelya explain taking this picture without knowing it was him, or alternatively, knew it was him and not informing either of her superiors about it?
Neyla and Countessa were both Klaww members. Countessa even tells Carmelita that she knows she's not corrupt but had her locked up anyway to silence her.
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus takes place 2 years after the events in the first game and the defeat of Clockwerk and the Fiendish Five recovering pages of his family book and restored and reclaimed his fortune. Before Sly Cooper became a master thief he was a young child and son that his father was a legendary thief before he was killed.
Thank you man. I sold my PS2 and ps3 a while. I played sly cooper as a kid with my freinds in my basement. This game was my childhood. I dearly thank you from my heart.
Yet all of the Haiti stage "monsters" are disregarded?! Do I even need to mention Dr.M's monstrosities of nature??? Or did we even forget about it all?
best game every so many memories over the years. as i search Sly 2 just to remember the game the memories only get sweeter this game will always have a place in my heart.
I will always- ALWAYS- find it weird that there are regular animals and anthropomorphic animals in the same anything. Like the old question asks, "How does Goofy feel when he sees Mickey walk Pluto?" John Bison getting frozen again gives quite the chuckle as well.
Every time a cutscene happened through the binocucom and I heard a bottle, I wanted to exit the scene to find it XD almost forgot i was watching a video since it was in full screen xD
@@blueraccoon1088 don’t get me wrong, I love grey, she’s one of the best voice actress around. But it’s something about that “I’ll find you Cooper, I’ll be seeing you soon, Ringtail” that makes my heart smile

It's weird that, also weird how Bentley and Murray are damaged by water when Turtles and Hippos are notorious for basically living in it. The other weird thing is how a spider, raccoon and hippo can all be roughly the same size too. Still a great game though.

I remember my younger self getting so upset and surprised when Neyla betrayed the gang. I really wanted her to hook up with Sly lol
Greeley Me too lol
Yeah she dupe, bamboozle, hoodwink, trick/swindle to them/us.
1:33:50 "I'm The Lizard King"
That's Why I Love These Games
When I was a kid the plans were so elaborate and unique, but as an adult...nostalgia has me heartbroken
What do you mean?
lynchie137 2:05:29 to 2:06:31
After watching this cutscene involving Sly and Neyla, did you find it hilarious that "If you'd like some excitement why not climb up on top of the train?
Seibri Senju solid theory I’ll give you that
She went from American to full on Latin by the 3rd
Right? I keep trying to come up with canon reasons. This one is the most sensible to me.
Headcanon accepted!
Sly 2 has the best story and characters of any platformer
“We’re gonna bug Rajan’s office… with a bug?”
Bugception.
In all seriousness, this is my favourite funny line. How Sly says it is so dang perfect. I ALWAYS laugh, I just can't stop myself.
Edit: Here's a time stamp for you all, 49:25
This is absolutely my favorite line too
00:00 intro-clockwork parts intro
8:15 world 1-the black chateau-tail feathers/ world prologue
11:49 Chapter 1
15:23 Chapter 2
19:27 final chapter: operation: thunder beak
25:45 world 2- a starry eyed encounter/world prologue
Sly 2 will always be the best one to me. Sly and Carmelita back then 😳😍
1:52:20 The Shining... FURRY STYLE!!!
Did anyone catch that?
Just amazing this is my completed childhood... It reminds me of playing this for years with my little brother ... Amazing
55:21 "No one likes to have their affections played with."
That is probably the one thing she said that was actually true.
Favorite game ever created. Hands down.
one of the best games of the PS2 era no doubt about that :P
I've always loved Sly's smooth voice 😍
cl0udCatchurr same 🔥
Props to his VA, Kevin Miller.
@@thomasblossombeautySly is always flirting with every girl in his world he meets because he’s a real hit lady's men are on fire indeed, and it’s the curse that has a charm like this.
hes like james bond in a way
With all the trauma Sly and his friends have gong through, Carmelita can forget about prison/Jail, she should take them to the therapy coven.
Is it just me, or does the story in Sly 2 look a tad bit darker compare to Sly 1?
I'm pretty sure Neyla would like Sly but hate the others like Bentley, Murray and Carmelita.
darker game play? what do you mean by darker game play? not to be mean or any thing
***** When I said and meant by darker gameplay, I really meant the overall plotline for Sly 2 being contrasting from Sly 1 like you just said before I replied to you.
Filipo Sooa
I think, for me, it's the whole interlude with the Contessa where the group is torn apart and turned on each other that makes it darker.
Becauae Sly and the gang pretty much got away with everything in the first one, except for a minor scuffle with Clockwerk, but they'd never actually done time for all of their crimes, nor were they divided.
Bentley: I'm the Lizard King.
Me: But, you're a turtle.
Geoff Redston So is Dimitri. But don’t tell him that.
Geoff Redston A lizard, I mean, not a turtle.
I love how while Neyla, Carmelita and the Contessa are having a serious argument about getting Carmelita arrested, they have to talk over the sound of birds chirping near Rajan xD I keep half-expecting Neyla to just look at them and yell "SHUT UP!"" xDDD
Yep you hired gangster/spies on those two bad guys.
Big nostalgia moment! Thanks for uploading!!
The story and writing is stellar for a kids game.
I used to not like Carmelita, but now it seems she is one of my favorite characters. She's pretty cool...
Is it just me, or does it look like Sly's always smiling?
+Kyle Stubbs Excellent question ! You will go far in life with THAT spirit. Do not ever forget about what I just said
***** No, really. He looks like he's always smiling. His eyes are the only thing that convey how he feels.
+Kyle Stubbs Its for security reasons
+Kyle Stubbs It's just you.
Kyle Stubbs ever see the Spy Fox games? They appear to have a similar demeanor
the murray. A LEGEND.
i think i have watched this video like what, over 20, no, 30 times.
i was just thinking this, about to comment and saw my comment. apparently 20-30 was 1 year ago. that makes this 50+. i grew over pokemon but this series just keeps following me.
Same here man, I like the sly 3 cutscenes better though
*Now wait a bloody minute!*
I mean, *Objection!*
At one hour mark... 1:03:09
the presented photograph shouldn't be sufficient to recognize Sly!
2:30:11 Bentley just stands up after taking a blow from Jean Bison's stick like it was a dodgeball.
Oh god i played this when i was 6, thats 10 years ago and i still remember it :D childhood memories.
3:31 I don’t get it, Sly. The Clockwerk parts should be here! THIS IS ALL WRONG! WE NEED TO PULL THE PLUG ON THIS OPERATION RIGHT NOW!
3:37
not anymore somebody take/steal it they got here first/beat you to it before you and your friend came along.
It's funny because Neyla and Carmelita are the same voice actress
So...Neyla betrayed herself? XD
the voice by alesia gidewell. Did neyla lie to cooper gang , interpol and carmelita yes!
"Is That Anti-Social Enough For Ya?!!"
The writing in this game is way better than I remember.
The art style of the cutscenes is incredible.
Murray, completely overlooking Sly's infatuation for Carmalita.
Started over this game on the ps3 collection and i noticed that Neyla is back in her uniform after Rajan noticed the wings went missing at 43:26.
Anyone else notice they cut the part where Sly mentions Bentley's card counting formula after they beat Dimitri?
Oh yeah. I noticed. I always remembered Murray's face when Bentley was trying it out.
Yeah. I played the original PS2 game and I have no idea why they cut that part out in the remastered version.
It had something to do with the games having to be ESRB rated again for whatever reason.
@@cameronratliff305 And yet Dimitri still has a cigarette in his mouth at all times. How silly of them. :/
Sly Cooper, Bentley and Murray are definitely the Perfect Animated Best Trio for Each Other! The Best of Friends!
This was a nicely made video. Be proud of yourself!
Honestly Neyla was such a conniving bad bitch! She added sooo much to the plot!
Thank you man. I sold my PS2 and ps3 a while. I played sly cooper as a kid with my freinds in my basement. This game was my childhood. I dearly thank you from my heart.
It's so cool that the story scenes alone take almost 3 hours.
Sly: All this.. Because you can't fly.. You're Pathetic.
Me: You're not wrong there.
but your a house pet and house pets are not meant to fly on their weight.
Greatest ever, bar none.
This is so dope thank you so much for making this!!!
One of the best games ever made! Still one of my favorites to this day!!!
How come Bentley can insist that a water tower is a giant attack robot, but then he scoffs at the idea of a Moat Monster in the 4th game?
Because monsters don't exist, but robots do.
Schmitty And Bentley didn’t even know the MM was a robot. He was very shocked when he found out.
It's your imagination and fantasy.
Yet all of the Haiti stage "monsters" are disregarded?! Do I even need to mention Dr.M's monstrosities of nature??? Or did we even forget about it all?
My favourite game growing up I have played all of the games and I can't wait till the film next year
1:58:53 seconds in - Aye yo where did his hat go LOL
2:41:04 "All of this cause you can't fly... your pathetic."
Fight was the tip of the ice berg
best game every so many memories over the years. as i search Sly 2 just to remember the game the memories only get sweeter this game will always have a place in my heart.
I will always- ALWAYS- find it weird that there are regular animals and anthropomorphic animals in the same anything. Like the old question asks, "How does Goofy feel when he sees Mickey walk Pluto?"
John Bison getting frozen again gives quite the chuckle as well.
Every time a cutscene happened through the binocucom and I heard a bottle, I wanted to exit the scene to find it XD almost forgot i was watching a video since it was in full screen xD
This was the best voice actress for Carmelita in my opinion
I respect your opinion, but I think her VA in Sly 4 was the best one, by far.
Respect for her she also was in cars on the road and I keep grey deliesle
@@blueraccoon1088 don’t get me wrong, I love grey, she’s one of the best voice actress around. But it’s something about that “I’ll find you Cooper, I’ll be seeing you soon, Ringtail” that makes my heart smile
has anyone noticed that this game had the gambling scene, that takes place after beating Dimitri cut out? start at 24:10. i think this version of the game was censored
Rajan: Black clouds and thunderbolts my spice temple ruined i will no longer hide while u villans destroy my hard won empire *snarl growl* THIS PLACE IS MINE!! You are nothing! withe clockworks black heart i will show you true power come face me cooper and feel the might of Rajan lord of these hills (sorry if i messed up my fav childhood series besides ratchet and clank)
No, you did great in rehearsing that line. It’s just like how Rajan said it in the game itself.
The dance sequence has always been my favorite part of this game.
I honestly miss Clockwerk, he's one of my favorite villains of the Sly Cooper series.
The dancing bits in Rajan's level was always an absolute delight to do
This is my childhood! Oh the memories :')
Actually tigers don't dislike water. They swim all the time to stay cool in the savannah
It's weird that, also weird how Bentley and Murray are damaged by water when Turtles and Hippos are notorious for basically living in it.
The other weird thing is how a spider, raccoon and hippo can all be roughly the same size too.
Still a great game though.
Is that so? Tigers swim?.. You learn something new every day.
There are no tigers in the savannah.
Mi mi don’t tigers live in the jungle?
I liked Rajan. He was one of my favorite villains in the game. Especially his theme. It sounds so awesome and menacing at the same time.
Dude, I miss the days of the PlayStation 2. Video games were so much simpler, bu still fun back then.
This brings back memories from my Childhood days. Best Epic Family Friendly game I can definitely get used to.
Love this game!
The Sly Cooper series has some of the best stories I ever saw in a video game franchise! :D
1:03:40-1:05:04 and 1:24:18-1:25:10 are my favorite Bentley moments!
Golden memories~
I loved the Canada stages
1:33:51 "I'm the lizard king!"
The Wizard and Sitting Duck. I love those codenames Bentley made up 🤣💫🦆
