Sly's year of borth is 1984. And Carmelita's is 1981.
So he was 18 in the first game (released 2002) while she was 21, then the next game was 2004 so Sly was 20 and Carmelita was 23, then the third was 2005 so Sly was 21 and Carm was 24.
By the end of the trilogy he's basically Carmelita's age. They've both technically been young adults the entire series.
The fourth one doesn't really have a date, plus there's the time travel aspect and unspecified passing of time from the third, so they could be any age there.

Yea and for the first (and most likely only times unless they make a sly 5 ) where the main villains / bosses weren’t connected in some group or anything. They were pretty much doing their own goals without using anything that involved Sly or his family.

This game in the Sly series definitely had the most surprises. From the discovery of the Cooper vault, to Murray taking a more peaceful way of life and to the most shocking of all, Panda King and Dimitri joining the team.
Dimitri is one thing since I always viewed him as the lesser of two evils. But Panda King? Like Sly said, he played a role in killing his family and if I were Sly I would have made the most emphatic no ever. However after seeing the pyro master in action for a whole new reason, I see that he isn't as terrible a person as someone could be. I can now honestly say that Panda King is a-ok.
don't forget the cut scene where Murray explains his stories of his training with his guru, one of them was inspired by star wars with Luke training with Yoda

The best addition of thieves in time was the voice actor for Carmelita. She's actually Spanish (pretty sure that was in a newspaper in Sly 1), so having the correct accent was a long needed touch.

I always kinda wished Mz Ruby from the first game would come back so she could b a boss fight for guru. Voodoo alligator (or crocodile) vs mystic koala. Could’ve. Been. Epic.

To many mini games, story sucks, writing sucks, the controls lack the vibrant immediacy and smoothness of Sly 3, the powerups weren't usefull outside their context levels, the ancestors were just a bad version of sly, technical errors like frame rate drops and slow downs, dull level design. The only thing good about the game were the graphics, however the character designs were a step down from Sly 3.
Care to elaborate on that? Honestly, I thought the story, while admittedly not the most original piece out there was good enough to stand on its own.
And another thing, you're complaining on a lack of "immediacy" (btw, looks like someone's going through their hipster word-a-day calender early today.) when most of Sly 3 was a FLASHBACK?
And before you say anything, I'm not just saying this just to defend the game (though that is part of it), I legitimately want a bit more of an explanation than just your overly-blunt statement.

Sly 4 is underappreciated than a lot of people may THINK. I loved it and thought it was the MOST compelling of the Sly games delving deeper into his ancestor's origins and deeper techniques BEYOND the Thievius Raccoonus. Hopefully by Sly 5, Sly himself may pick up some of those deeper techniques himself.
nah sorry man, cant really defend that. i hate being the millionth guy to say it sucks, but noone can stand by that flawed storyline and the conversations held within the characters. the gameplay was good and the concept of playing with slys old ancestors was great, but that game really ruins what the last 3 made as a story. we wouldve been better off with the ending of 3
erik purdy that's an unvalidated point because Bentley already said at Sly 3's end he was making a time machine and here's an unpopular opinion: Sly 3’s gameplay was too dry. Barely any reason to use the abilities other than Sly's charged techniques and the paraglider as well as other jumping abilities. No reason to explore the land since there were no clue bottles and no NEW techniques other than Murray and Bentley being able to pickpocket. Story was the ONLY thing that kept me interested in Sly 3 but that one is actually more disappointing that back then when it was FIRST reviewed which is the ONLY basis of your objection. Sanzaru followed and picked up the story well, they gave MEANINGFUL techniques not just to the ancestors, but to the Cooper gang, which included having Carmelita in a BIGGER role than just chasing Sly and I loved the plot twist in it. Like I said, the execution of motion controls at CERTAIN junctures of it missed but didn't detract my enjoyance of it. You just trying to repeat what reviewers INITIALLY said about it. The load times didn't bother me then either.

I think it was the only flaw for remastering the games from the PS2. However, the pauses must've been removed if you play it on PS Now.
In order to make the game seamless, from what I can gather, the game loads as the cutscenes play, a similar game would be metal gear solid 4 where the cutscene ends as the gameplay starts

Stilton Stiltski He didn’t “work” on any boat in the second game. The only boat he was in was a small boat that was used as a hideout for him (to which he’d leave when a bell was rang by one of his men as a sign that the coast was all clear). He got into prison because he was not only selling illegal spices at his night club, but also forged fake money using the Clockwerk tail feathers.

I remember playing Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves back when I was 8 or 9 years old. The game was awesome, I seemed to ran into some complications while playing it. But I finally completed Sly 3. I've known Sly Cooper for a long time and now I'm 20 years old. Good times! I have all three Sly games and playing them on PS3! I'll never forget these games.

Luke Aumen Same. Hopefully the 4th/5th Sly Cooper game will be made by Sucker Punch. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time doesn't count as a Sly Cooper game to me due to the fact it wasn't made by Sucker Punch. Matter of fact, I'd say Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is more of a spin-off than a main game.

Luke Aumen It’d be pretty easy to understand how they met. Carmelita more than likely took it upon herself to catch Sly when he started making a name for himself. From there, the two had their encounters and like most collisions in such a manner, their bond grew. Of course, Sly was more fond of Carmelita earlier on as she did sort of spice up the whole thievery thing for him.
These two got in common to each other and seem related.
