This channel is gonna blow up. This dude puts Coyote to shame.
Idk about that
Coyote is fucking annoying.
I've handled several and got biten multiple times. I always tell people they have to remeber 3 things
1.- Spider NEED that venom to eat, they don't want to waste it on you, so they often dry-bite for defense.
2.- They can also bite to hold themselves down, if they feel unstable they might bite down and these bites are also dry.
3.- Most spiders wont bite you unless you press them down. If you have a spider walking on you, calmly try to take it to a wall or ground, they dont want to hurt you, they want food and you ain't it.
If someone is wondering what happened to me after those bites, NOTHING. The worst bite made my forearm swollen and i had lower back pain for about 3 weeks.
Please, please please don't kill our friendly neighborhood spiders
They roam free in my house! The jumping spiders are fun to observe. I have a dark brown one roaming in my house!
@@nativewildman9335I always catch the jumpers and release them outside.
I’m blown away, and feel far better informed on a truly majestic lil creature 🙌
I’m so happy and glad to hear that! 😄
Amazing work my brother ♥️
I appreciate that a lot! Thank you so much! 🙏🏾
People that know me usually think I'm insane because I handle spiders, but I only handle the ones that aren't medically significant. I do think if I were to find one of these on me I don't think I would loose my kool, I just don't go out of my way to handle them. You're the man, bro !
After learning that there have been no recorded cases of death from a Black Widow in the US and that Brown Recluse spiders can necrose skin but do not kill, my fear of spiders (in the US) has disappeared.
Wait untill you need to flee in a ute from a massive bugga bout 4-8 feet m8 XD aussies got big enemies
Lmfao XD jk obv
But Australia does have some crazy sized insects
Great info, good handling! thank you!
Thank you so much! 😄
I definitely want to keep one someday. I love the shape of widows
Be careful with those things, bro. A LOT of pain in that bite!
Like having your spine in a vice!
I know theyre not out to get us but they can bite. Just dont push it too far!
I know you know what youre doing but be careful!
I guess I was a little behind with this one(or smoked too much medicine and forgot😬) but excellent information. Anything that helps people understand, if not like spiders and their generally not bitey behavior is so very helpful! So many people "hate" them because of the way they look, move, and hide, so it helps a lot that you do this. Thank you!!! I thank you, all my former T's thank you, and all our 8 legged friends appreciate you Kelvin! Good lookin out!
Thanks so much man! I’m glad you appreciated the info I provided about these beautiful amazing spiders! They do get a lot of hate, but I’m glad that there’s people like you who take the time to appreciate them as much as I do! 😄
I remember when I caught my first black widow (Mediterranean black widow) in Montenegro and I was so happy about it because every other "widow" I caught previously was a falsie.
That’s dope! I love the look of Mediterranean Widows! 😄 Never seen them in person, only online
Spiders can become *poisonous* if you soak them in antifreeze before eating them
What about if I eat one with a Tide Pod?
Fuckin thank you for specifying the difference between Venomous and Poisonous. I hate being a grammar Nazi but this has the same feeling as calling a Magazine for a gun, a clip.
Not a problem at all lol! It’s something I constantly hear people mix it on a weekly basis 😅
@kelvinwiley I'm sorry you have to deal with that lol. Do you take the time to educate these people? Or has it simply become second nature to ignore it?
When I have the chance to, I’ll usually politely correct someone about the differences lol. But if it’s someone who I’m not engaging in a conversation with, like someone I hear off to the side, I usually correct them in my head without actually speaking to them 😂
I'll correct a total stranger on poison and venom. I get mixed reactions it's funny sometimes.
I found out about false widows just over a month ago. I was pulling hatches up at work when i found one on the underside. I thought it was a black widow but i wanted to confirm so i pulled up google lens and it told me it was a false widow which I thought was a very apt name
Thank you Brother
One of those spiders I wont handle.
Same, none of us wanted a bite, so cleaning their cage was fun
I would so long as I had the antivenom and knowledge of how to handle them. Better to be educated and feel blessed than to be scared and mediocre.
I like the story but I wondering if you would handle spiders like red widow, marbled orb weaver, shamrock orb weaver, American house spider and common candy striped spider? You and the spider king are the only people who handle a lot of widow spider also mister insect?🕸️🕸️
My family has kept numerous black widows as pets. We've caught them from the wild, one from a Safeway lol they are scary looking but really relaxed. We'd never handle them.
That’s awesome that your family has kept these beautiful spiders as pets! 😄
@@kelvinwileymy mom started it. She found one at her mom's grave. We just collected them from there
Great video, very interesting! I wonder why the black widow played dead. Is that a defense mechanism? But they are venomous so why would they play dead instead of attacking.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed my video! 😄 They’ll play dead in an attempt to reveal the bright red hourglass on the underside of their abdomen in hopes that a predator will notice it and flee. Although they contain potent neurotoxic venom, they’re quite small and very vulnerable to attacks from large predators. So they try and do anything they can do before resorting to a bite! 😄
this got me payin extra attention to my body rn to make sure nun crawling on me 😭
Can you make a video on the recluse spiders please?
I have one already recorded and will be uploading it probably within a couple of weeks! 😄
I once inadvertently shared a bed with a false widow spider one night - Britain's most venomous spider. I took a bite on the leg and one on the thumb. The thumb bite stung a little, which is what woke me up. Found the spider and dispatched outside.
Some false widows have a skull like image on the abdomens, creepy!
This set me on a journey to learn more about spiders and my fear reduced, knowing that our most venomous spider's bite only stings a bit 😂
I was bit by a brown widow spider when I was 15. It bit my foot. It was living behind the toilet. I guess it crawled into the carpet mat we had in the bathroom. I didn't initially feel it. Then my foot was numb all day. Saw the doctor, and he said i was ok when he saw the bite. My foot was numb for about a month.
I've heard that the black widows and a bunch of other spider species use their little mouth bits as fingers sometimes and to assist in movement? I've also heard that they sometimes give false, warning bites if they feel threatened? Any truth to these things?
Love your vids keep it up
Thank you so much for your support! 🙏🏾
I owned one for a bit truly chill spiders.
I think their "misunderstanding" also varies by the spider. Maybe some are less evil than others, and simply want to touch someone or something warm, but might also start paniking if someone else paniks, while others might just smell fear.
Have you done a video on brown recluse? I searched but couldn’t fine it.
I’m currently editing a Brown Recluse video at the moment that should be posted this week or the next! Stay tuned! 😄
@@kelvinwiley awesome thank you
Isopods please
Oh hell no. You're brave.
Plz more videos about black widows
Absolutely 🤙🏾
I appreciate the I formation, I respect the true widow spider species but I will NEVER handle one willingly lol my fear of spiders are too real.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the information I provided! 🤙🏾 But I completely understand that! 😅
@@kelvinwileyI did learn not to fear them as much as they aren’t actually poisonous and their venom won’t kill me so thanks for that! 😊
Came here after finding one outside my home. Problem is that I was looking for my cat but found the widow first. Surprised to find it and its web so close to the ground which might be a concern..
Immature black widows look totally different. I have handled black widows before I'm not sure which one. I think it was a western black widow. I live in Kansas. Could you please make a video on the immature widows? Great video!
On your IG was she biting you? What was happening.
^ need answers cuz it looked like she was
Not at all 😄 Many spiders will use their fangs to dig and anchor themselves to prevent them from falling off of something. In that case, it was my finger she felt like she was off balance and needed stability by using her fangs to gain footing. So there was no venom injected while she was doing that! 😄
dude you are awesome!
I have a question
I live in Syria
One time I was in a mountain
I found one of them, I carried it, and everything was fine
But my question is how did it get to Syria?
I know they are only in America
I am a million percent sure that it is a black widow, of the same species, and that it was a female
Black widows are not just in America
So I did a little digging around online of Latrodectus species within Syria that could possibly be the one that you saw. The only one that somewhat resembles the one in my video seems to be the Desert Widow (Latrodectus revivensis). But even still, it doesn’t fully resemble it. I’m gonna be honest, I’m not exactly sure what you saw 😅
I remember beng bitten unprovoked before. An orbweb sipder crawled to the top of my finger and it was big enough and my finger small enough for probably the spider to not be thinking warm moving ground anymore but just large bug within it's leg clasp. It gripped round the top of the finger once it got there and bit with accompanying pain similar to a bee sting but with no side effects or issues after. But no pressure, or trapping was happening - it just struck. Some spiders react differently some are more agressive than others.
I'd like it the spider
Actually
You let her bite you?!?!?!
He's gonna turn into miles morales
So what you're saying is, they can't sense anything human? Bee's can sense our fear pherimones, so if you panik they might pursue, but with these they can't even feel a warm body? It's interesting, because Spiders often enter my home, and I assume they are trying to be in a warm environment. For example, daddy long legs above the showers, or wolf spiders running accross the bed. I also assume Spiders can sense fear or anger, and are able to hold grudges, like the time the Recluses got revenge.
Awsome
Thank you! 🤙🏾
New sub here 👍 hey i keep large monitor lizards
I appreciate it! 🤙🏾 That’s awesome! 😄
Interesting. As someone who works in small enclosures i find them quite often. A few of those times they seem to lunge at my hand when it gets near. During the spring and summer is when they are laying eggs. Would you still handle a black widow like this if she had eggs? Genuinely curious.
That would be the stupidest decision ever made, man. Just don't. No matter how curious you are.
@@definitelyhuman4510 definitely was not curious in the sense that I wanted to try it. Was more curious if maybe black widows weren't as "bitey" as I've been led to believe. Yeah I'm not touching a black widow no matter what time of the year it is. Respect.
Crazy video, super informative. I’m glad you didn’t put this one in your mouth 😅
Thank you so much! Well, on Instagram I did 😅…
The Venom of a brown recluse will rot your skin a buddy of mine got bit took a 50-cent piece size out of his leg
I’m sorry to hear that happened to your friend! I have a video coming soon on Brown Recluses that should be uploaded within the next week or so! 😄
Do you have any videos of brown widows?
No, sorry
@@kelvinwileyI'd love to learn a bit about brown recluse
Loved this video

Isn't there only like 2 spiders in the world that are lethaly venomous to humans??
There’s 2 genus of spiders in North America that have medically significant venom. The two are Latrodectus (true widows) and Loxosceles (recluses). But there are several other genus of spiders with medically significant venom, such as Phoneutria (wandering spiders), Sicarius and Hexophthalma (six-eyed sand spiders), and Atrax (Australian funnel webs). But these genus and the various species that are contained in each one is just a small fraction of the total amount of spider species on the planet. The vast majority of spider species have relatively weak venom that doesn’t pose any life-threatening effects on human health! 😄
Do you have Venmo?
❤
Kelvin, I love your videos, but you will get bitten eventually.
I appreciate it! Only time will tell 😅
ive been bitten. it sucks for like 3 days but its not gonna kill ya
If he gets bit, he'll live. So 🤷♀️...and he feels comfortable handling like all species of animals 😂 I'm sure if he gets bit, it won't stop him from holding them.
Please stop molesting the spider
Don't tell him what to do.
it's his spider he can do what he wants 0_0
