- The Human League Phil Oakey interviewed by Paula Yates on The Tube, November 28th 1986,
As recorded by me on Sony L-750 Betamax video tape, this tape has suffered some slight damage over the last 34 years & the colours are a bit off, but I could not find it elsewhere on YT, so decided to upload it anyway. Enjoy.

Change Of Heart is indeed a brilliant LP by Change as Phil says.
According to interview they fell out with Jam and Lewis and walked away, as he says, leaving them to it.
Yes, they (Human League) didn't like the fact that they didn't have a lot of control over the album (Crash). Plus there was one particular skirmish between the band, Terry and Jimmy regarding the backup vocals for "Human". I read that Terry & Jimmy had another backup vocalist they wanted for certain parts on the "Human" track. I think her name was Lisa Keith. So it appears they brought her in to do some of the vocals on "Human". And as the story goes, Phil and the band were listening to what Terry and Jimmy had put together for the song and I guess Joanne pointed out that neither she or Susan weren't anywhere in the track. This triggered a huge disagreement and I think that might have been the last nail in the coffin as they say. I don't remember where I read that but it went into some detail as what triggered the fall out. I think some of the other band members were "side lined" during the production of Crash as well, which didn't sit well with Phil.
Yes Jam talks about this as part of a lengthy great interview about he and Lewis’s amazing career. It’s in the 2nd part of a 3 part interview on Questlove’s podcast. I think in 2020
Betamax was superior to VHS SP. Footage holds up rather well.
