Hi Cathy. I just joined your channel. Your hat, blanket and shawl are all so nice. I noticed, by watching some of your previous videos, that we have similar taste in yarn colors. I am always drawn to teal, blue, and aqua colors.
It is lovely to see you with your shawl on, very nice. The weather here in England is wet and warm. Your double knitting looks very interesting and useful, I must give it a try.
Thank you so much for your kind comment about the shawl. I hope you enjoy double knitting. It really has been a lot of fun to learn. Your weather has hopefully been good for the gardens & fields... hopefully not too much rain :)
Wow, Your knitting is really coming along. Your shawl is beautiful. I’ve just started my blanket for the Book Cover Inspiration, and you have already completed your project.
Thank you, this little sample of knitting took quite a bit of frogging (I lost track of how many times), but I was determined LOL ! 😊Your CAL blankets are always so pretty and I'm looking forward to seeing which book cover you decide to use. (I was so excited about that Ice Cream yarn that I quickly found a pattern & it jumped on my hook LOL)
Thank you! 😊There are amazing tutorials online about knitting, and I found them really helpful. It takes a bit of time to learn anything new, but after you learn the knit and purl stitch, I was surprised about how different combinations/patterns can be made. I'm pretty sure you will love it, once you get those 2 stitches figured out...
Hello, your finished red blanket is beautiful love the pattern. Keep up with the knitting you are doing great. I have been knitting mice for a “mousiemakealong” so much fun. Happy knitting 🧶
It was a while ago when I made the heart blanket, and I remember finding the chart very helpful. (This tip might help if you decide to make one. It did work up really nicely in a #4 worsted weight yarn.)
Hi Cathy! Wow your husband will yarn shop with you! That's a gift. 😀 Your shawl is pretty. What did you think of the yarn? I love the Red blanket with the hearts, very pretty. Oh, forgot to add, it's HOT here in Middle Southern Kentucky. I took a walk at 7 am and the sun was already too strong. I think I'll have to try 6am!
Oh my dear, I cannot with the heat. So many side effects when I get even a little bit hot. Jeff teases me that I have a very small window of "acceptable temperatures" (And the kind of heat you're speaking of sounds very dangerous! Please be careful...) Jeff is so amazing at finding yarn. He has an eye for colour and when I'm looking for a specific colour, he is the one who usually finds it. My opinion about the Ice Cream yarn... I thought it was really soft and loved the way the colours changed. It didn't go from thick to thin too often (just a bit), and I liked that about it too. Lovely yarn.

Thank you Donna! 😊A mousiemakealong does sound very fun! Some day I would like to gather my courage and try a "learn to make amigurumi" class...
The hearts are really cool.😮😮😮😮
