This was the best Mastodon interview I've seen so far because it's with the coolest and most real members of this band. I liked the way the interviewer asks them a bunch of shit question and very little about the band. Bill Kelliher is so not like this anymore. He's very calm, quiet and serious.
yeah if they are playing at Jack Rabbits they haven't made the big time yet for sure. They probably sold out though, place only holds about 150 people.
I mean most bassists that make it big are lucky. I think Troy did a wonderfull job on early stuff screaming, but he was mostly lucky having been around the rest of the guys. I don’t think I would be as into Mastodon though, if Troy was never apart of it. His voice is crucial.
"we're serious about everything we do. look at that cute little puppy taking a dump."
"then brent pee'd in my butt and i didn't know what to do. so i had this baby"
how did brent and the other guy keep a straight face
Wait, that’s not how babies are made?
Back in the leviathan days.

"I don't know, man. Troy is not in our f***ing A-Team."

They kind of remind me of Alice in chains here.
When did Brent get the face tattoo?
The Abominable Snowman he's had that for years
soon after he had the head injury in 2007

Man,those were some pretty wretched vocals from Brent. I can see why they keep him low in the mix.
Brent really likes scratching his hands
Anyone else think Troy was just lucky?
doesn't seem like anyone does. I don't either. I think they are all evenly valuable to what they bring the group.
John Doran Agreed. Saw them live 2 weeks ago in London and they were AMAZING. Troy is awesome.
Troy is a beast.
Troy is amazing. I love his vocals and he is an incredible bassist
