I just installed a set of these in our 2013 Toyota Venza. Extremely happy with them! The factory housings had glass lenses and set us back $400+ Canadian.... and they lasted 1 year before they were both busted by rocks. These Morimoto’s have polycarbonate lenses, are 1/2 the price and should take rocks much better. These fog lights are very impressive you can see the side of the road good as hell very wide pattern and that's exactly what I need riding through the country backwoods of Alabama
Installed these on a 2015 Altima. Only issue is, one is shining higher than the other, and I don't see any way to adjust the height on them. I noticed that for other models, there is an adjustment screw on the back, but the ones that I got for Nissan don't appear to have that. Am I locked in to that misaligned configuration? Thanks
Love how you only show the pattern when it’s out of focus.. like why??? Beam patters are one of the prettiest things to look at and why I came here for and you show them all out of focus!! 🤦🤦🤦👏👏👏
We always recommend checking for adjustments no matter what upgrade you do to a vehicle! The XB fog lights adjust just like OEM so it should be very easy going!
Those fog lights are a plug and play fog light option for those who already have a factory fog light, and most of them are made to mount right up to the factory fog light mounting points! I am sorry to say that we do not have a pair of those for your vehicle since you didnt have a set of fog lights from the factory. You will have to go with a custom fog light if you want, and for those you will have to figure out what you would like to do, as it will be up to looks and personal preference.
I'd like to replace my fog light housings on an '05 Grand Cherokee, and I'd like daytime running lights incorporated, for a less expensive option than replacing my headlights with daytime running options. Will the Morimoto's do this for me?
I have an 01 ranger edge pickup. I have the factory round foglight housing in my lower bumper valence. My OEM housing are beat up from gravel and I'd like to switch them to a better version. I already have decent h10 LED bulbs from hikari (best cheapies) the bulbs are great but I need something like this. Do these fit the 4 bolt design that most factory for fogs use? If not do you have a recommendation?
There is no DEMO involved in this video. While a great install is really desirable, the beam's shape is the whole reason to install a fog light. The light is very wide and stays close to the ground. This is so fog does not reflect the light and obscure your vision of the road. If this were not the case you could just use your regular headlights or high beams. Of course that doe not work! So show the beam pattern or better yet show the beam projected on a wall so we can see what it will do. This video does none of that. Many people think that a light mounted down low is a fog light but that is not true. Fog lights are mounted low so that they get underneath the fog and close to the roadway itself. This is to minimize reflected light and not light up the fog itself. A driving light is a flood or long range light that cannot do this and will make oncoming traffic mad as hell as it blinds them. You should be able to drive with your fog lights on in any and all traffic, day or night, and never bother anyone. If you have a car that has poor head lights this is the answer to your problems. You can't change the factory body moulded headlights (can change bulbs and type of bulb) but you can add fog lights that will light up around the car and flood just above the pavement with light. So show us the light pattern and projection. I need a real fog light and not some stupid light that is called a fog light.
Hey Bruce, we demo these fog lights in a few of our other install videos. If you’re interested in seeing the beam pattern and a comparison to stock fog lights, We may have done a full install and review on the vehicle you’re shopping for.
Installed mine on a 2016 Tacoma. I noticed the beam On the passenger side seems to reflect more off the road. Is that the designed pattern or do I need to adjust something?
Nicholas, there’s a beam adjusting screws on the top of the back side of the housing. You may turn the screw clockwise or anti clockwise to adjust the beam pattern.
Artemio Mundo fog lights in general should only be used in extreme foggy conditions. Otherwise they provide no benefit anyway. I don't know why so many people drive with them left on...
@@SuperFURY1x I'm still wondering why you would use a white light for a fog light, which defeats the whole purpose. The stock ones being more yellow would actually do better in fog, even at less brightness.

I'm surprised you didn't break out the jw speaker 6145. How do these compare to the 6145's? I currently have the speaker's on my car and am wanting to try out other products
Chris sibley, the reason we did this video is to show a new product that has come out. The JW Speaker is the Best of the Best brand. Made in Wisconsin, 5 Year warranty, Best light output and they cost twice as much. So, if you're in it for the best possible product it's Speaker. But if you don't have the cash to pony up on them, these are a nice replacement. It would be easy to make a video for the 6145, so we're considering it. Stay tuned.
So in terms of brightness and beam width, the 6145's outperform the morimoto's? I'm just wondering because of the difference in beam height looks significant and I would imagine that the thinner beam would appear brighter because it's the same number of diodes being focused on a seemingly smaller area, whereas the 6145's beam is a little stretched out (bright around the edges, sorta dim in the center)
