Thanks for the update. I was bummed out that the hurricane turned East and y’all didn’t reap any benefit, but this is doing wonders! It’s racing hard right now west of Houston!
So even after the recent 2-ft elevation gain it appears the rate of Lake drainage by the Guadalupe River Authority is still around 12 in per 30 days, so regardless of how much rain and water inflow from the river the lake will never rise to original engineered level.. .
The majority of the drop, I am saying living here for almost 28 years is the rate it's being removed by the water company that supplies water all around our area. As far as I know, from working in the utility industry here in our area for about 23 years. Our subdivision built in the 60's is the only one not on that system other than personal water wells. You're exactly right, it will never hold 909. It needs to be let stay up about 915, but they will never do it from fear of it going over the spillway again.
The Guadalupe was also overflowing and moving briskly. Ingram downtown was running high water levels also. Been 6-7 years since have seen as much rain.
Its 9pm on the 24th. I came over that River bridge at 7pm, Rebecca creek rd. The water was over the river banks flooding that lower side of river bank.
That's it, I haven't checked the last few days, last time I calculated it. It was 1.66. I just drove over the bridge decent flow n the banks. Looks like normal flow. Been so long I forgot what normal flow looks like.
I was at ramp 11 & where Rebecca Creek joins Guadalupe yesterday.7/25 I was hoping to see some of that water rushing down... Only difference I see yet is chocolate milky river😂😮
@@ulydoingthingsnothing to see. Back to grass again like the video with the tree in the thumbnail. Lake level will have to come way up to use that ramp again. Unfortunately we live In the neighborhood and that's the ramp we use.
The reason is! that it's for the global warming hoax, if the criminalistic thugs running State and National governments can make it look like the lake levels are drying up that will then be used as one of their excuses to explain their agenda of global warming!!.. .
Just a blip more release. There are consumers downstream with water rights. Plus a little hydroelectric release. Release had been 72 ft³/second, it is now 88 ft³/sec. Inflow at Rebecca Creek Bridge (pictured) is ~6500 ft³/second. Canyon Lake has risen over 3 inches today. It generally takes water 5 hours to go from Rebecca Creek Bridge to Cranes Mill during these flood events.
There are water wars going on. They are manufacturing scarcity. SAWS is suing BMA water over a contract dispute for Medina Lake's water. The lake has been empty for a prolonged period of time. Still, even after all this rain, it's only gone up to 3%. I don't think this is normal or natural.
My kids and I are planning on floating the guadalupe or comal this weekend... by your judgment, is it still a good idea? We aren't from there so im not sure what the water levels mean for those rivers. Thank you! 😊
@RaychulRene I would just call the place there at the 281 bridge. It has come way down but forecast is for more rain. Called the $5 spot or it's also called Guadalupe Canoe Livery- 830- 885- 4671
Below the lake you are 💯 fine. All this water is on the topside of Canyon Lake. Comal river will be just fine also or the Horseshoe in Sattler. The flow is around 80 CFS last time I checked. Totally safe no flood water or debris there.
Thanks for the update! Fingers crossed that we get more rain.
You and me both!

Hate to say it but we are going to need the rain from a system. Maybe one that goes South of Corpus in the King Ranch area.
Awesome bro! Hopefully get more rain that way. Just no craziness, sometimes can’t have one without the other. Really nice to see it flowing.
You got that right!

How did it look this morning if you travel over it every day? I haven't drove back yet today, busy in the shop.
Thanks buddy! Looks like that should fill up the Lake
😂
Going to take way more. I'll post an update in a few days where it ended up.
i just went down to the lake.boat ramp 22 .and its still empty...maybe up 1.5 ft,but thats it.

Is that the Rebecca Creek Road bridge at the Guadalupe??
Yes
I was at ramp 11 & where Rebecca Creek joins Guadalupe yesterday.7/25

Only difference I see yet is chocolate milky river😂😮
Can you show a update of boat ramp 11?
I did make a cheesy vid as I let dogs run around.
Have not uploaded to my channel. I guess I should.

AWEOME!! Been a good week so far so keep raining!!
Yes, forsure...
I heard they already started releasing more water at the canyon lake dam. Why? This isn't going to fill the lake up
The reason is!

Lake drainages are happening all over the country due to the global warming hoax that the US federal government and globalist are propagating!!.. .

Kerr County had every low water crossing flooded.

Nope! Hit Schlitterbahn in new b instead - water needs a few days after rains for bacteria levels to fall
@belindacarter6872 thank you!
@belindacarter6872 what about canyon lake?

It’s raining in Houston or actually Spring north of Htown
How’s Canyon Lake water level?
Have a better idea in a few days. Hope at least 5 feet. That's going to be a long shot.
Any word on the Pedernales?
Peaked at Johnson City 2:00 AM on the 23rd.
Lake has only risen 1 foot in 1 week (55.3% to 56.8% full). Maybe another foot when this is over if no more rain.
I checked a few days ago, and it was around 1.66 up. Hopefully, we will see more decent rain in August.
@@heelerdadadventures back to hoping for tropical storms. Really was unusual July. But water table still in significant deficit.
what about medina lake
Medina Lake is up 5 feet. 97 feet more to go to the spillway 😮.
SAWS is suing BMA water. The water wars are going on. People's wells are drying up. They are purposefully manufacturing scarcity.
Praise the Lord
Thanks for subscribing.
I’d go for it but doing that with the kid and dog is just bad judgement
I would have done it 20 years ago in a whitewater raft. We used to do it below the damn but we used a professional white water raft and a full crew.
Yall need to stop selling water to San Antonio
