First time using Raptor Lining for the business, I have to say, 100% happy.
My nephew and I spent 3 days working on his wrecked truck that he bought. Getting it ready for his 16th birthday in February. We did old school body work on it and sprayed it with Raport Lining. I'm super proud of this kid for putting up with me for 3 days, 🤣....

Time for a ranch restoration in Encinal, Texas
Просмотров 47321 день назад
Barns, fences, gates, horse pens, working pens, etc., were all built in the early 70s. After layers of paint and rusting pipes, the brothers decided it was time to spruce the place up. I painted their fence around the head quarters, which is over 3000 feet long a few years back. So here I am 28 days in and over 33 gallons of paint sprayed so far. Check out the progress.
Painting 8 days straight...Still going......

      @mk-jm5tv Down, way down. I am saying that as a 28-year resident with the explosion of growth, the use of water from the lake, levels will hardly stay around 909. The only way it's going to fill back up is a flood like we saw in 1998 and 2002. It's a sad truth. We live up the river from the lake and haven't been able to use the county ramp in almost 2 years. There are 2 nice marinas, with boat slips. They are the only boats on the lake now. The last ramp closed a month or so ago. There is one marina ramp but is not supposed to be for public use. I'm not sure if it's locked down again.

BMA water sent a cease and desist to the Save Medina Lake people preventing them from flying drones to try to find out where and when the water is going out of the reservoir. The lake is obviously being intentionally mismanaged to manufacture scarcity. Some of our neighbors’ wells are drying up. Some farmers lost their corn crop this year. It’s really bad. I hope it doesn’t happen up there to Canyon Lake but if I know anything about the folks in charge who love money more than anything, well…

      Not hunting, working down here. I paint and coat all the neighboring ranches, agriculture, and ranch related metals. I am using Sherwin Williams Sher-Kem. They reached out to me a few years ago and ask me to use it and give them my opinion compared to the other product I use. I painted all our fences, railings etc. Gloss black, 2 years ago, still looks like I painted it yesterday. Spring Branch location has plenty, they keep it in stock for me. They tinted this batch to match the other product perfectly. Before it's all done, I'll be around 20 gallons sprayed through my spray guns. I have seen it brushed on a neighbors fence, and it leveled. Sprayed has an unbelievable shiny finish. I am running it through my 1.4 HVLP guns. When I put the long video you will see a 3000 foot - 12 foot fence i painted around the house on this ranch. Solid month of painting. 🙄

    Just had this start happening on my 2012. My mom brought me the truck from White Settlement (Ft Worth) to Cleveland Ohio. Love the truck, but too much plastic where it should be metal of some kind...like this damn Y fitting. I am leaking from the bottom most hose on the Y. Looks like the plastic tube running down to the intercooler is kind of in the way. Great video. I was actually going to piece this kit together using a 3 quarter Y barb fitting and some clamps. I do recommend doing the repair on the coolant overflow tank where that fitting is as well.

    • @madman216fpv
      @madman216fpv 2 месяца назад

      Cool stuff, looks like easiest way is to pop the truck on the ramps and get it from underneath. Once again, this is a prized video, not too common a spot for this leak...that damn coolant overflow tank elbow though.....

    • @heelerdadadventures
      @heelerdadadventures 2 месяца назад

      I definitely need to do the coolant side. I check it every time under the hood. If Ford could figure the cam fasier problem out. I would golden. I hold the gas pedal to the floor and let it turn over a cycle, to build oil pressure if it's sets a few days.

    Appreciate the update. Drove down from Austin to shoot some images and video from just below the dam but drove up to Boat Ramp 11 after watching your videos. The ramp was blocked off from parking with no parking outside the barriers so couldn’t get in. Appreciate all your work to bring attention to the lake and the impact the straws and lack of rain are having. Some of my fondest memories as a kid in the 60’s was our once a summer vacation at the place overlooking Horseshoe Falls. Watched the last years of the dam being built and the lake gaining water. I’ll start spending more time shooting video and images around the lake now given your work and the lake level. I have been concentrating on the Edwards Aquifer since we have lived over the recharge zone for 34 years. Same thing happening with straws. The amount of development from the lake through the Hill Country to Austin is exploding. The water being sucked out of the Aquifer and lack of rain is having the same effect. Again, truly appreciate your bringing the lake’s water level attention to the public.

    • @heelerdadadventures

      We have lived here in the neighborhood at #11 for 28 years. I am sure you saw the explosion of growth. Did you see the neighborhood going in across 306 from our entrance? Over 1000 homes are to be built in stages. As far as they eye can see, they are strip clearing. At least all that run off will go behind me and into the river, at what cost will that runnoff bring with it destruction and containments, time will tell. Forecast for a dry winter, the only thing that's going to bring all the lakes back up is flood. I saw things in 98 and 2002 that really have me and others that have been here a lifetime worried. No regard for our terrain, runoff will be catastrophic. They worked on the parking lot but left the slick ramp alone. I hope they pave the fence line that's where we park. That ramp has got extremely busy, well, at least 2 years ago when you could use it. The lake is unbelievably sad on our end. Before long, I'll be able to film Cranesmill Rd. bridge. I verified with archives in New Braunfels it was left there when the lake filled . Something along the lines, if the damn broke in the beginning, the bridge was still a way to get to the other side of the lake. Do you remember that being left alone? Thanks for your wonderful comments.

    • @jcophoto75
      @jcophoto75 2 месяца назад

      @@heelerdadadventures I didn’t realize there were 1000+ homes going up. What I did see were two Watch for Fawns signs in the neighborhood which I thought was great. Hate hearing the runoff will go right behind you. Just saw our near term forecast for Austin and it is dry as well. We stayed pretty much below the dam so I have no knowledge of the bridge. How much lower would the lake level need to go to expose the bridge? I’ll keep looking for your updates and hope to get back next month. Your clips and comments have me much more interested in the lake and upper Guadalupe now. Hope to figure out a way to bring some visibility to what’s happening.

    Like many reservoirs, Canyon was built for two reasons. One was flood control the other was storage for agricultural and residential use. Recreation is a pleasant bonus. It's a really cool lake and I really enjoy being on it. You know, even at its present low level some 25 feet below full pool, it's a fun lake to be on. I heard from one source that there is planned maintenance to the dam in 2025. If so, regardless of the inflow in 2024, the water level will likely stay low for another couple years.
