Thank you for posting this!!! We're thinking about buying property in a development on the south side of the Guadalupe River portion of this video and this opened my eyes to the beauty of the area!! I would never get sick of paddling up and down that stretch..
Great scenic paddle! Watch out for those falls. Looks safe at that flow but more and you can get a nasty keeper hydraulic from the littlest low head dam or fall. Especially when you paddle alone as I do, throw sticks in and see if they recirculate. Thanks for sharing this cool spot.
Learned to swim right there, caught my pb bass at turkey lake cove 100yds from the creek entrance. Now you cannot walk and fish the bank without some country yuppie yelling at you.
I really love those giant dead bald cypress skeletons emerging from the water in Rebecca Creek. There really is a sense of eerie beauty in those dead trees. I love visiting Texas lakes just to see the ghost forests that were left standing before the land was submerged.

Been a long time since I have been up to the falls. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve done this paddle. Awesome little adventure.
I understand that Canyon Lake is dangerously low now 5/18/2024
Hasn’t been this low since the 1960s. Too much development.
I’ve wondered what that part of the river was like! Thanks!
Haha, the hand on the tree trunk with the sound effect, I jumped ten feet in the air, yikes.:-)
I read this comment and it still scared me lol
Beautiful country
exciting flow. many greetings ronactive
Real nice and calming until 8:16 where you got me again ha ha 😂
That spot was completely dried up until a month ago. Aug 2024
Now it’s just a dry river bed.
In this trip you did a out and back right? I'm really looking forward to getting out there soon!
Yes
Beautiful video.Thank you! Did you float the river before or after our recent lovely rain showers?
why is that car in the river?
What are all those big ol dead trees in the water?
The formation of the lake killed them. They were bald cypress trees that once lined the river like you see so often throughout the hill country.
Ever see any alligators? I keep hearing they're in the Guadalupe and I've tubed there before.
Never say never in a Texas Lake in the eastern half of the state. I would say generally you are more likely to see them the further downstream you go.
@@secretsoftexas6872 So you would say it's possible to have them in that region? I thought maybe around Houston and along the coast.
What title of ur song sir?
I picture this being a good smallmouth bass stream
That car should be reported
i was hoping he would comment something about the car but he didnt. probably its been there long enough. scary though.
Has anyone seen this dude's face?
I don't want to scare my audience away
I saw a reflection off the glass of him in one of the previous towns he explored.
wow ten ads in ten minutes. Dislike
But he has zero control over how many play.
