Binge watching videos while on quarantine and you're so right. Finally a house I can relate to, and not feel like I'm missing out on having a big custom made house with tons of space and storage. For me, at this point in time, in this crazy world, less is best. I've had to get creative with space, and it's actually been a fun challenge. I've been enjoying this channel lately, so down to earth.

My husband and I went through some hard struggles for many years and after 18 years of renting we finally own a home again so I know how you feel right now, it is the greatest blessing ever. We just moved 3 months ago and still when I pull in the driveway I have to pinch myself and remind myself that this is my house and I’m not renting someone else’s house. I love your new home, its very sweet. I feel the same way about our (first) home. Its humble but its ours and before nine years ago I'd never lived in an home owned by family. I love that I can paint a wall, put holes in the walls, dig a hole in the garden or have pets and I don't need to ask permission. I was looking at that cabinet thinking it would great white and then you mentioned you were planning on painting it. Tfs & take care 🎅🎄🎁

I don't have alot of storage in my house either and i don't have a pantry, i use the bottom cabinets to store snacks and i got turn table organizers from amazon for my canned stuff. i would suggest getting baskets and taking things out of the boxes because they take up alot of room
Love the ending. I can feel your emotions so much and I can relate. My husband and I can finally see the American Dream happening for us. We can almost taste how close it's becoming. We have never thought it would be a reality (we've struggled for years). We are in our 40's and have 6 kids (13, 8, 6, 4 (twins) and 4 months. It's taken so many years of struggle and we truly believed it'd never happen for us (while it has for people many years younger). But in February we should be in position to buy our very first home and out of our rental forever by summer. Wishing your family all the best. You should be proud. Absolutely. We lived in a house where we had an unattached garage that we had the storage room made into my laundry room. I loved it. You could use one of your kitchen drawers for a pasta drawer. I did this in our last house. One drawer was for things like pastas and rice, things like that. My kitchen now is small. I have few drawers and my largest one I use for my plastic bowls and containers.
This just popped up when I was perusing RUclips videos. 3 years old! I missed this one somewhere along the way. I had seen some of the ones you made while you were still Budget Fam, and still living in your mobile home, but I never saw this. Your kids are so small, and seeing things then, and what you and your husband have done with the house in just three year's time is incredible! In this video, you say say you don't have a pantry, so you put food into that one cupboard . I had to smile when you said, you'll make it work for now, and that you'll have to get creative... I know exactly what your talking about..we struggled sooo bad financially for a few years and with lots of prayers and hard work we moved, got a new job and have had an amazing year! We didn't even had enough money to buy food at times but God still provided for us and we are so incredibly thankful! And I am so happy for you guys as well..you deserve it! God bless!

I can't even explain to you how happy I am for you. I absolutely LOVE your house. I would love a house just like yours. So perfect and cute! I was going to suggest, since you have a shed outside, try getting one of those shelving units to put in there and then organize a pantry there with all the extra stuff, and then inside the house leave those things that you are currently using on a daily. And when it's finished, you just go out to your pantry and grab what you need to restock the cabinet you're designating for food. Also, on both sides of your kitchen window you can add floating shelves to add more storage and/or decor... Remember you can always add big beautiful baskets under tables and on counters to serve as storage but that is also stylish. I am sure you will figure everything out as you go. I wish I could be there helping you unpack and stuff. I enjoy your videos so much! You should put cute baskets above your cabinets for storing stuff you don’t react for often! That’s what I do. I just make sure to dust regularly and wash the stuff before we use it. Like I keep lunch boxes and water bottles and my thanksgiving baking dishes, etc we don’t have much stuff and we still have to much lol

Also, a pantry idea for extra storage; if you have room in the dining room go to walmart and get a cube organizer shelf! They are great for that purpose! You can get super cute baskets and such, or even hang a curtain in front to disguise everything.

Yeah we have a leaky basement, windows that need to be replaced and stress cracks that need to be repaired, but with every improvement we make it’s starting to feel more and more like our home. We have been here for 4 years and there is still so much we need to check off the to do list. Home ownership is not for the faint of heart lol. We bought a home and still live paycheck to paycheck. Thankful for the first time home buyers loan that made it possible.
Awwe.. I would be so emotional too if it was my new forever home. God saw you both working so hard, and knew it was time for this new season in your lives.. It's so exciting to see it happening to someone who is so deserving, and it's almost like we're all going through it with you. (I actually pray about it happening for me too). You are amazing at unpacking, and I'm excited to see it all decorated. You may not have a ton of storage in the kitchen, but there really are more storage options in other places in your home. Since sometimes it really is more cost effective to buy more than one or two cupboard staple foods at a time, you could try these ideas. First, you could get an island for in front of the sink with storage underneath, and that'll give you extra counter space as well. You could also get one or two metal, or the super thick plastic stand up cabinets and keep in the laundry room to keep can food and boxed foods. (I don't think anything could get in to those). If you didn't want to keep food out there, you could also get two of the thick plastic stand up cabinets and put one in the back each of the kids closets since their pretty good sizes. You could use one for can foods, and one for boxed foods. No one would ever see them. What ever you decide to do, just know that we are all so happy for your family. Are y'all going to have a housewarming party once you get everything settled? You definitely should. Btw, that tv is nice! It would be perfect for me since my eye sight is so terrible. That screen is huge! Lol. :)

Also, a pantry idea for extra storage; if you have room in the dining room go to walmart and get a cube organizer shelf! They are great for that purpose! You can get super cute baskets and such, or even hang a curtain in front to disguise everything.

If you are keeping your big white oversized lantern, that would look awesome filled with Ornament balls as a center piece. Just a suggestion. I can not wait too see your christmas decorations! Yeah we have a leaky basement, windows that need to be replaced and stress cracks that need to be repaired, but with every improvement we make it’s starting to feel more and more like our home. We have been here for 4 years and there is still so much we need to check off the to do list. Home ownership is not for the faint of heart lol. We bought a home and still live paycheck to paycheck. Thankful for the first time home buyers loan that made it possible.

It's so exciting to see it happening to someone who is so deserving, and it's almost like we're all going through it with you. (I actually pray about it happening for me too).
You are amazing at unpacking, and I'm excited to see it all decorated. You may not have a ton of storage in the kitchen, but there really are more storage options in other places in your home. Since sometimes it really is more cost effective to buy more than one or two cupboard staple foods at a time, you could try these ideas. First, you could get an island for in front of the sink with storage underneath, and that'll give you extra counter space as well. You could also get one or two metal, or the super thick plastic stand up cabinets and keep in the laundry room to keep can food and boxed foods. (I don't think anything could get in to those).
If you didn't want to keep food out there, you could also get two of the thick plastic stand up cabinets and put one in the back each of the kids closets since their pretty good sizes. You could use one for can foods, and one for boxed foods. No one would ever see them. What ever you decide to do, just know that we are all so happy for your family.
