- This Video was originally supposed to be only 2 days (maybe 1 1/2 days) of packing but it actually took me a full 3 days!! Packing AWLAYS takes longer than you expect LOL. I hope this is motivating for somebody out there who is also preparing for a BIG move and needs a push to get started or maybe a push to keep going. Moving takes ALOT of work and is really hard but you just have to keep pushing through! Enjoy!

We’re only moving across town, but my stomach is already in knots and my mind won’t shut down. Videos like this help lessen the stress of moving! Good to keep perspective! We are hiring furniture movers. We’ll be able to keep the same friends, church and jobs which will be nice. So glad my closets have been recently organized. I’m packing my suitcase with a week’s worth to help the transition. No more grocery shopping until after move. Much peace is coming and it’ll be nice decorating our new house!
I have a week to finish packing and I. Am. Stressing. My husband works too much to really help so it's up to me to cook, clean, take care of our toddler, and pack all by myself! Wish me luck and if you're religious, please pray for me. I'm not even done with the house,our garage sale was a flop, and I still have tons of boxes in the garage from years ago that we need to go through and get rid of.

Save blankets and towels to fill the empty spaces. It really helps but I saw that you had already mentioned it in the cell but yeah, it really helps in the process of moving myself and I’m learning that really quickly.

Love this Video, me wanting to move countries in about 5 years, but now already starting to sort out and sell everything I don't want or use any more, so will need a lot less space and less costs 😅
We live in a separate unit on my mother in laws property. My husband is transferring to a new state for work. My son and I won't go for at least a year. So I am packing his stuff, our stuff that we love but don't need every day.
Thennnn we are leaving furniture and beds and basic things behind for when we visit until my mother in law is ready to move out with us. So I'm having to pack like 3 different times and leave things behind all for just one move. I need help lol

I've been trying to declutter and donate stuff and give away stuff and it's still seem like I have too much stuff I normally pack 8 months ahead of time this time I have to pack within 4 weeks so that is a lot of pressure
I know what you mean! Me too like to finish ahead of time but my hands are tight, and on top of it I sprained my foot, making my tasks very difficult! And with on going chemo to my husband, he can not eat liek normal, food does not taste good, does not feel like eating so 50% of time goes in the kitchen preparing food and cleaning vessles! :-C
I’m packing decluttering all yr around so when I’m ready for the pod I can just put it in the pod

Not creepy at all when you looked at the camera. I just figured you might be checking that it’s still on. I’m a new subscriber! I might start filming myself when I clean or organize, I think it would keep me going, lol! (I get distracted.)

Great video! Did you shop around for the boxes? I see you got Lowe’s, but did you check Amazon? What size are those boxes?
I bought most of them from Lowes and Home Depot. I didn't even think to check Amazon!! We had a mix of small, medium and large - but mostly small and medium so they wouldn't get too heavy
I wish my house looked like yours with 3 days to go. Lordy mercy. Idk I had such shopping and collecting problem. God help me, I need a miracle lol. I had cancer surgery and everything bend over vomit. 🤢because have no top sphincter.
oh, hope you could pack without getting /feeling more sick. I will be moving to GA too from AZ as my husband is a cancer patient. Now that the oncologist suggest that he will heve to take maintenance chemo for life, I feel we need to move near our son's family. It is tought to pack caring for the 87 year old patient and myself 73 and his caregiver. No family or friends in town ti help me packing. I have some time but really feel overwhelmed to start packing and make a mess of the organised home filled with packed boxes, to be boxed items and get rid of items. And that too I have to place in the car and take the stuff to goodwill or thrift store.
Well, hopefully I will complete everything before we are to move.
I’m currently packing now to move but I have 3 weeks but I am also 6 months pregnant with a 2 year old and my husband works 5 days and doesn’t do any packing so it’s a long process
Take your time!! I was in basically the same situation (minus the being pregnant part) it can be a challenge but if you take your time, you'll get it all done. Good luck with your move!!

I wish I would have counted, several people have asked but I didn't. Too much going on....it was ALOT of boxes, it took several trips to the store to buy more LOL

I am so glad you enjoy them! It wasn't actually my original direction for this channel but then I realized it might be helpful to a lot of people so I just picked up my camera and started recording it all!
I'm freaking out a bit as I have like 3 days left to get everything done and it just feels like it won't end. I don't drive so have ended up with a lot of junk over the years that I'm piling into the shed for the dump. Mostly I'm embarrassed about the amount of stuff I have accumulated, so I'm watching videos about other people packing their house in the hopes this amount of stuff is normal and not weird. I wish I could drive so no one else had to see it all, I'd just do it myself load by load. But my family is going to have to help :c i'm just so stressed right now, argh.
EVERYONE ends up with a lot of junk in their houses. The longer you live somewhere, the more you collect! Don't worry! It's normal! Plus, there is always more than you think! I have said for years, you really don't realize how much stuff you have until you have to clean out and pack up every last piece of it. Good luck and I hope it gets easier for you!
I'm curious how you did with the move. Im feeling the same way with 48 hours to get everything moved and stored.
@@faithandgrace1638 I just went at it hard and (this is bad) I drank a lot the whole time to detract from the stress and shame D: The new house is only 15 mins walk from the old house too, so I ended up carrying many huge loads by hand during the night for a few nights in a row to make it look like less stuff when my family had to help. A random lady also helped a bit which was nice of her! But mostly I just packed and packed and ended up throwing random stuff into huge rubbish bags and boxes (with no organisation) and that stuff is all in a bottom room now waiting to be sorted or dumped. As long as you have the important stuff you need for the main house that’s mostly what matters. The rest can be squashed or hidden somewhere until you can deal with it!! I am mowing the lawn at the new house now as I reply to you :D but I’ve realised we actually need to move to the city 4 hours drive away, so that’s my goal for next year. I think we will need to discard everything we own in order to be able to start again in a new place (as there’s no way we can transport all our stuff that far!)

@@WittyHarperDIY You really can't please them all 😑 I don't think you speak fast at all! Of course you put music in the video otherwise we would be listening I'm silence. RUclips music is never my favourite but that's exactly what it is, RUclips music. I think you did a great job, I have spent a while trying to find a video like this. Everyone sidetracks from the actual packing and talks about irrelevant stuff, but not you. Useful tips all the way throught with some general packing talk! (This is my first RUclips comment since having RUclips for 10+ years, so that must count for something)
I can see in your comments you couldn't remember how many boxes you used, but if you could roughly guess would you say 30+, 50+. No worries if you can't remember at all just wanted a rough estimate 😉
