I ride that EXT Storia Lok Shock in combination with the Formula Selva and it’s the most amazing suspension Setup I can imagine! My Nukeproof Mega feels more planted than a DH bike, but it still climbs up the hill without a hassle! Hell the Coil Shock climbs way better than the Fox X2 Factory I had before and that’s without even locking it! That shock is just insane, I can’t imagine there’s anything better feeling out there! So if anyone is in need of a high end suspension setup, go for EXT and Formula! (I still need to check out the EXT Fork though, maybe it’s even better than the Formula)
@@LL-tx2kj I wear chamois 100% of the time because it keeps everything together. Heard a story when I first started riding about a guy who went OTB without a chamois and tore his sack. It's equivalent to a helmet for men, IMO.
Whenever you guys do a field trip, it would definitely be cool to see this from all around the world, how different geographies influence the culture and how those riders look at their bikes!
Yeah, I agree with everyone here....this series of Daily Driver Bike Checks is GREAT! The Druid has my vote for todays episode. Just a thought, we should put together a compilation of all the top picks from this series. Maybe you've already have....
Always fun to watch "Daily Driver" videos! I liked the Transition and do have a soft spot for the Ripley since I'm all about Ibis! - owned a V1 Ripley and now ride a V1 Ripmo - so the RIpley AF looked sick! and of course the rider seemed very stoked with it!
It's cool to see the different bikes and how each rider makes them more personal to their liking.....I am slowly making changes to my bike so it's not like others on the trail and it's MY BIKE.
my fav was the druid such a good looking bike but i also loved the girl w the chromag bike cause hardtails are great and i also ride formula brakes and suspension
Let me take you way back to my first MTB college bike - 1994 - Iron Horse A Frame, now get this you might not have known this - Out of the Box No Suspension. Quickly added the classic Quadra 21r's, then upgraded to the Judy SL, XTR derailleurs, Raceface Cranks, and Syncros Stem and Seat post. Rocked that bike from the east coast to the west before getting my first FS stance, and Fat Tire in 2013.
Ripley AF all day, I got mine a month or so ago and have just started getting it out. Absolutely amazing bike. Jealous she had the pond scum frame but the silver is great looking also. But the Forbidden Druid is one of those "if I ever get good enough" bikes for me.
I feel like those older marzocchis worked with 650b quite well. Axle to crown is long and there is tons of space for 26 tires, so 27.5 should fit no problem
You guys need to do some bike checks at Boomerang Farm bike park in SE Queensland Australia.... the bikes there are comparable with what you could find at whistler.... and almost everyone there is an everyday rider
I would love to end up on one of these with my riding group lol. One of my friends is rocking a resto-mod 1996 trek Y22 and it starts conversations everywhere he rides
Ya if your looking for marzocchi forks my sponsor marzocchi Mark is the biggest marzocchi fork seller and he has the best selection of triple 8 and so much more.
Daily Drivers is really becoming my favorite series on PB... Once covid lifts. Would be nice to see daily drivers from other trail networks...
For sure! I get stoked on hearing why different people are out riding too - Tom
@@pinkbike because the rain stopped, the trails open, and my job won't pay me to ride -- needless to say, I'm open to job offers
@Dennis Adrian Dafuq?
That Forbidden build is soo nice looking.
what an expensive build, but he was a bit ashamed (seems to me) when talking about the drivetrain

This is by far one of the best kind of videos. It gives the more common rider someone they can relate to, love it!
I imagine them sitting out there for months catching everyone they can to go over bikes. I could watch this to no end.🤙
nah man saturday sends is way more relatable. (just kidding haha)

Gotta agree with Tom on that hard tail life, haha.

Soo good to see 26" riders out there. 29" and 650B is nice, but 26" its the real fun size (and I have a 29er enduro in the garage)
Thanks for putting hardtails in ❤

The Chromag easily beats all the others in my opinion but the transition was cool too.
Hell yeah good to see someone else who treasures their 26" tr450 as much as I do mine!
I absolutely love mine
So cool how people put their own style into their bike. These bike checks are dope.
