    I feel like the thing I like most about Unbreakable is that it also allows my vault tools to last a good amount longer. Especially after putting in a lot of time making them (and playing on casual with the durability penalty on death), every additional vault I get with them is definitely appreciated.

      Ahh see I don't play on casual so it's not even something that crossed my mind. I imagine it is something that could be useful in that instance!

      @@Hellfirem4ge You also need unbreaking if you want to get 100% unbreakable gear (together with quill and Chromatic powder). And that's extremely powerful, especially when you wanna do a mine room run. Just do all this and your tools won't get destroyed by all the copious procs. Even better now that copious stacks above 100%, you can basically try to make a mine room tool with as much copious as you want and just go to town on it.
      Also you kinda need it for thorns/tank builds because of all the dura dmg you take. And thorns build is one of the best and most used builds in the game.

      @@Hellfirem4ge Yeah imagine people wish they took some points in unbreaking when their epic weapon or prismatic tool is on it's last repair.

    • @DyslecticAttack

      Unbreakable is fairly small boost for the investment, but it's also a constant boost, and a boost that gives an exponential rate of return.
      If 30% of the time your dura doesn't go down, it doesn't mean that it'll last 30% longer, since the more it triggers, the more opportunity it has to trigger. So you'll have 30% more triggers, giving another 9%, giving another 2.7%, giving another 0.81%, etc. so 30% unbreakable gives around 43% more use.
      And the higher it goes, the better it gets. Which means that low investment isn't worth it, but high investment gets better.

    I think you underrate jeweler a bit here. Jeweler is the difference between fitting two gems at size 15, or three at size 10. Say each give 5 mining speed, it's 10 vs 15 mining speed for the same capacity (at the cost of 6-9 gold in this case). For archon and thorns builds I think unbreaking probably makes sense, but not too sure there. The trinketer is also a bit underrated. With max points you get 30% more out of your trinkets. One thing worth noticing is that you get roughly a third of the uses out of a crafted trinket compared to one found or bought within the vault. Imagine it said "all your trinkets have +10%/+20%/+30% uses". I think that is worth around A-tier for early game (as trinkets are harder to find and the cost of crafting does not scale with level, so it becomes easier as you get into late game to craft trinkets). On the other hand I think you're right about marketer and bounty table. I do find marketer super underwhelming so I will have to rid myself of it. The bounty table is really really good in early game (and beyond to be honest) as it is a good source of black chromatic steel and echo. Unless you manage to score a void theme augment, and you have the resources to make it plentiful, then the bounty table is your only source of echo, realistically. Great video Hell.

      Definitely agreed on Jeweler! "You should only be keeping the good gems" doesn't strike me as a valid case against taking the expertise, because the two strategies are complementary, not redundant. Jeweler isn't for making crummy gems passable, it's for making good gems *excellent*!

    • @kenneth_ez
      @kenneth_ez 9 месяцев назад

      @@TKDB13I see "good gems" as "cheaper in gold to get to 10" :) For something like a black chromatic tool jeweler adds another 100 capacity (at a huge cost in terms of gold).

    An argument for early game Lucky Altar in C tier: Skyvaults. Getting a free vault is so helpful when getting resources is so RNG based (took me like 5 vaults to get Nether Wart, for example). It's really nice to get some free vaults before you have farms all set up. Later game, yeah, I don't think Lucky Altar is really needed since you'll have a lot of farms, but early game it's really nice to have IMO for Skyvaults.

    Great tierlist, I only disagree on jeweler since both early and late game is way too good. I had it since early levels till 70+ and it's been really good for getting the most out of every tool. The cost isn't too much either so you can afford it earlyish game as well, you can also make good tools even of low tiers without having to craft a single jewel. I never thought bartering would get so good but last update really did change it for the better since vendoors are so common now! :D

    Great video! You should double-check how jewel cutting works, I'm pretty sure they changed it recently. It now always removes a modifier to reduce it's size, so if you only have one modifier, it will always break unless you have the expertise.

  • @JaegerDreadful
    @JaegerDreadful 9 месяцев назад +5

    You seem to misunderstand the new jewler a bit Hell. If it's chipped, and you cut it will guarentee a break and turn into a gemstone. Only flawed, flawless and perfect can be cut without the expertise, but they go down 1 grade and lose a modifier. With the jeweler expertise you can cut it 3 times without anything happening, and after that it goes as normal. There is no RNG in the breaking or losing a modifier. Only RNG still in is the cut size from 1-4.

    Played a bit with marketer and if you go the soul chance on gear route it becomes insanely good because you can get late game or rare items (blank keys, artefacts, chaos catalysts, etc) from the black market and rolls help you out a lot. If you don't go for a soul shard build then I would agree with you its not insanely good its just ok.

    Also don't forget that you don't need full points. One point in Jeweler and one free cut is worth it to me, but three free cuts is not. Some talets aren't worth the 3/4/5 points it takes to max them out, but a little boost (like 2 or 3 levels in Unbreaking) isn't some kind of resource sink. It's fine.

    I dont agree with a couple of things. Lucky alter is pretty good if you are playing with extreme vault crystal recipes, still kinda meh I would say B tier max. Fortitious finesse is IMO at least A tier if you are a good player, after lvl 65 ish you start getting a ludocrious amount of gear with the right strats (dungeons, architect vaults, paradox) and the best things about it is you can get item rarity/quantity legendaries which gives you even more items, if you are running only for dungeons its S tier. Mystic and the cata thingy is absolutely necessary if you want to min max late game (or was in the past when I did it, we got increased loot in the last patches and I'm a much better player so who knows), idk if it qualifies to S tier tho. Ubreakable is insanely good in the actual late game (lvl 90+), cus you don't want to lose your minmaxed gear, at lvl 100 its S tier IMO. Trinketer is garbage if you are a good player, simply cus you get a lot of trinkets late game anyways. The only neash use I see for it is maybe around lvl 50-70, cus you might not get the trinkets you want, so I would say C tier. Jeweler is not B tier... you are missing out on sooo many good jewels without IT, if someone else doesn't have it on a server you are playing on then it isn't S tier its SSSSSSSS tier that you take no mater what.
