The blacksmith castle is great when you have a guilded or other bonus chest modifier because they're really easy to see if they spawn on or under the bridges

I feel like, for low level vein miner attempts at looting the digsite, the torch/slab technique will work the best. Just dig down to place the torches to break the powder, and all that's left is the powder right above the chests and fossils. So, now you can pretty much loot from below by mining the chests. Maybe efficiency shovels might be better, but I don't know.
Weird... I haven't had a puzzle, vendor or mushroom omega room yet, but I've had at least one of all the others. I got a golden digsite just yesterday. The amount of concrete powder was intense. You could put it into the chests as you pick it up, but I had enough room in my pouches.

I highly recommend you bring a crafting table or some wood to make one in your sugar box or one of your pouches or whatever you’re using so that you can craft your vault bronze, etc. into gold based on what you need for the vender room. I have mine all crafted into platinum and I just I’m craft it as needed but I still have a crafting table with me just in case. You don’t want to waste precious time having to go find some wood to mine just to make one. I also recommend bring a netherite pick, shovel and some xp bottles to repair it in case you get a mine room or Omega dig room. You don’t want to waste durability on a nice vault pick.

The pack right now seems to be balanced on finding lots of those mine rooms. I never found one and gave up on the pack for a while hoping gem costs will be rebalanced at some point.
There's so much changing constantly tbh. It's actually hard to keep up and it's definitely not fully balanced yet. That's what you get with alpha though

...I've been duo-ing vaults for most of my VH experience. The first day I did any solo vaults, I had watched your video on the challenge rooms, ran into a dig site, and thought "Weird that all the sand is yellow, but I don't want to deal with the mobs, I'll just grab the surface chests and skedaddle"... Hitting myself now, but at least I didn't have vein miner at the time, so I wouldn't have really had the time to properly clear it anyway. Is the concrete powder color actually a solid indicator that it's the omega version rather than a challenge room?
Haha we've all been there 😂 Yes, it's only golden if it's an omega room, otherwise, if it's normal sand colour then it's a challenge room (although that one got removed a while ago)

Chromatic ore rooms? I'm pretty sure it's different from the ore room you introduced in the video. Since I got level 30 I've been unable to find any of them where I'm about running out of my chromatic irons and I really need another.
Chromatic ore rooms arent classed as omega rooms as they're pretty common, they just spawn as part of the common spawning pool 😊 i would recommend running raw vaults as they have a good chance of spawning in those
@@Hellfirem4ge I know. Theme issue. They are only spawned in cave themes. More specifically only 3 cave themes have them. However I think chromatic ore rooms are quite rare because I rushed in some of these vaults multiple times and see none of them.
So i have found all the Omega rooms but the last one was in a friend's vault also i looted it from the top a little bit as we had no time i didn't think that it was so deep and so many chests
So you just have it as your active ability and then hold down "activate ability" as you mine and it will mine multiple blocks. It works both inside and outside the Vaults 🙂
in 1.18 i just feel like im always going into the vault with a goal and focussing on completions or good pois that align with my goals - and wood just doesnt fit that (obviously just my playstyle though)
@@fishor6527 it honestly depends how much you're hurting for carbon. A lot of mods need a tonne of chromatic steel so people have been really hurting for carbon, and wooden chests are a great source
Regarding the Mushroom room, I really don't find it a good investment of time. Given how common village rooms are, and if going straight for portals (which aren't uncommon in village rooms), you can get into one, get all 12 chests and move on in less than a minute with little difficulty. Spending 5-10 minutes in a mushroom room instead of doing the objective or finding other rooms is more profitable and more fun in my opinion. Mushroom room looks pretty, not very useful though.
It very much depends what you need. Some people in the discord managed to get like 3 knowledge stars from 1-2 mushroom rooms so if that's what you're focusing on, it can be very worth doing
What about the village and the X-marks the spot room. I would classify both of them as omega since the portal still exists. I and I was lucky to come across the x-marks the spot room with tons of ornate chests but sadly it was early game with one piece of vault gear
@@dubiouscloud5115 that's not true ☺️ in the config files, the x room is only under challenge and is rolled at 7% instead of the omega 2%. Once you get in there and activate it, then it rolls whether to be trapped or not ☺️

Hey, how does one get tokens for the cryo chamber, I cant seem to find any info on it. Or isnt it possible to get eternals in VH3? Or im just unlucky I guess
You get the eternal souls as part of the loot tables in chests and completion crates. They are currently bugged though so they can't wear any armour. Just waiting on the patch to fix them
@@Hellfirem4ge Sorry, I phrased it wrong. I dont actually know how to get the trader cores, which you apparently need for the cryo chamber. The wiki says you get them from competion crates, but I have yet to get some. So I was just wondering if im just unlucky. Thanks tho
@@rain-kk4kf oh it's not trader cores anymore, the wiki doesn't seem to have updated. You need "eternal souls" which are the little black/white pac-man like things. You get them in all sorts of crates. Trader cores aren't in the 1.18 version anymore ☺️

How does vein miner works, I mean how do you set it up after you picked it. Does it work inside and outside the vault

Depends if you have a lot of levels in vein miner. Only took me 15 seconds per quarter with max vein miner and you get an absolute tonne of chests

They're not classes as omega rooms in 1.18, they're classed as challenge rooms as they have mob spawners in them
