Road of resistance is a really good pick and the music video version at super saitama arena is what i feel to be their best performance of the song so far. Dragonforce veterans Herman Li and Sam Totman collaborated with Babymetal for this epic track so pls check it out lol.
I agree. If you want to see the more 'traditional metal' side of Babymetal, Road of Resistance is a great suggestion. I like the official (live) music video version because of the pro camera work and the atmosphere at the beginning, but just about any performance of it is good.
The official video of this was made when they were still kids. The backup band at that time wore skeleton costumes. Also when this song was made, Baby Metal was not a stand alone group but still a sub-group of Sakura Gakuin. Cuteness (Kawaii aside) and the concept and choreography, the songs are a catchy mix of pop and metal and Su's voice is quite good.
When they first started back when they were preteens, they used Babybones band. A few years later they finally brought together the best musicians in Japan to form the Kami Band which they use mainly now for all their big shows, and those guys are amazing. A live show of Road of Resistance will win you over as a Babymetal fan. My personal favorite is Catch me if you can because it will be a hide and seek Kawaii overload with a heavier metal in the back
randumo24 I'm not a fan of the Babybones either but think about it. You don't get to hire the best musicians for your afternoon "heavy music club" even if there's a big agency behind you... You start with 3 girls, and if you present present them alone dancing and singing to prerecorded music then there's not much difference between them and a generic J-pop idol group. The Babybones were a very unique and brilliant invention by Koba, an addition to the stage performance that helped the group to stand out from the crowd. I dare to say that they were essential for the early success of BM. And of course Koba ditched them at the first opportunity when the group was successful enough.

I don't know why I've been ... borderline obsessed with Babymetal for the last month, ever since I heard them the first time. I've never been into Japanese pop - have been into metal quite a bit, but have still always been open to all genres really... but this is really confusing me why I just ... love em so damn much right now. To the point of my brain trying to fight against liking it.. "You're a 34 year old bearded metalhead who has always been annoyed by obsessive fanatism, why are you spending hours on THIS? IT'S NOT NORMAL" This reaction video has been the best so far btw, as you analyze it quite well on why it works; the transitions indeed are very well made and the contrast of cutesy pop with very heavy metal in between just somehow works, against what seems like "all odds". The variety between their songs is incredible aswell, none of them really sound like the other, yet all are both catchy and awesome. Despite never been one to really follow any dance scenes, I also really love their choreography. Again, on such a level that surprises me. I... I have no idea why I'm so into it but god damn I have to admit that this group is damn fantastic and I can't get enough of watching them live. Their shows look simply incredible when it comes to the entire package - style, flair, great music, great performers - it's all there. Not to mention "cuteness overload".
I gotta add; They are dancing to metal. THEY ARE DANCING... TO METAL. AND IT WORKS. I suppose that's why I love the choreographies? I have no idea.... This band has changed me in some way.

The Kami band are amazing musicians. They have played with the girls since 2014 or maybe even 2013. Unlike Babybones (the skeletons) who mimed through the entire live concert, the Kami band play along with a backing track and Moa, Su and Yui have to keep in perfect time as well. The live shows available on DVD & Blu-ray all receive post production, so the best way to hear and see what they sound like, when they play at concerts is to watch the fan cams. Unfortunately, many of them have poor audio or unsurprisingly, shaky video content. There are some good ones available though and I am thankful that people upload them, no matter what the quality. If you react to 'Catch Me If You Can' most versions on RUclips have the Kami band performing solo parts, before the girls sing. Well, you've earned another subscriber. I have seen your other reactions to Babymetal and they are definitely among the best I have seen. A good amount of fans of Babymetal love to see the reaction other people the first time they hear some song of the band... and I, at my 44 years I have become another fan of Babymetal, also curious to see how others react. You still have a lot of songs to smile about and feel a total confusion. I, despite listening and seeing his songs several times I still smiling. Live concerts, that's the strong part of Babymetal. Keep that course and all wrath of wonders. Maybe the only exception you should make with Iine. I can not say why but the original video is much better than the later live performances. I'm dying to see your reaction to "Tales of the Destinies". Surely you will love the song and you will be more confused and astonished than with all of the above.
It looked to me that only the official videos for maximum four songs are the best definition of Babymetal while all the rest is just commercial stuff that doesn't reflect the girls ages at all.I mean Doki-doki, Megitsune, Line and Headbanger.Those four videos looked like real art to me and actually are way better than their live performance.Well...live performance is real life though...This is just my opinion.

It's been used elsewhere fine, because it's pro shot at a festival by the hosts. The problem with a lot of the videos that get chosen, like this, are from Babymetal's official DVDs. Unlike Babybones (the skeletons) who mimed through the entire live concert, the Kami band play along with a backing track and Moa, Su and Yui have to keep in perfect time as well. The live shows available on DVD & Blu-ray all receive post production, so the best way to hear and see what they sound like, when they play at concerts is to watch the fan cams. Unfortunately, many of them have poor audio or unsurprisingly, shaky video content. There are some good ones available though and I am thankful that people upload them, no matter what the quality. If you react to 'Catch Me If You Can' most versions on RUclips have the Kami band performing solo parts, before the girls sing. I can't see your reaction to Megitsune and Gimme Chocolate because these 2 videos are blocked in Canada. Strangly, Doki Doki Morning is not blocked.

Well, you've earned another subscriber. I have seen your other reactions to Babymetal and they are definitely among the best I have seen. A good amount of fans of Babymetal love to see the reaction other people the first time they hear some song of the band... and I, at my 44 years I have become another fan of Babymetal, also curious to see how others react.
You still have a lot of songs to smile about and feel a total confusion. I, despite listening and seeing his songs several times I still smiling.
Live concerts, that's the strong part of Babymetal. Keep that course and all wrath of wonders. Maybe the only exception you should make with Iine. I can not say why but the original video is much better than the later live performances.
I'm dying to see your reaction to "Tales of the Destinies". Surely you will love the song and you will be more confused and astonished than with all of the above.

It looked to me that only the official videos for maximum four songs are the best definition of Babymetal while all the rest is just commercial stuff that doesn't reflect the girls ages at all.I mean Doki-doki, Megitsune, Line and Headbanger.Those four videos looked like real art to me and actually are way better than their live performance.Well...live performance is real life though...This is just my opinion.
You can leave the (silent) video in, as long as you don't include the audio. It's the audio that triggers the copyright bot.

It should be perfectly fine to react. It's been used elsewhere fine, because it's pro shot at a festival by the hosts. The problem with a lot of the videos that get chosen, like this, are from Babymetal's official DVDs. You shouldn't have to worry at all about copyright with the link I posted. It has been used by another reactor without any issue.
