Neat video, nice troubleshooting as well.

Great video! Maybe the weatherproof enclosure caused a heating issue with the first HDMI extender.

I was thinking similar, moisture/condensation affecting the internal electronics of the HDMI balun inside the weatherproof box. Maybe allow a drainage hole in the weatherproof box ? Nice little video Jenx Tech to show your troubleshooting technique.

@@blokey5160 Yeah this did occur to me, I'm wondering if heat maybe got to it, does get above 100f sometimes here in CO, but humidity is low. Could probably make so it can breath a little better as it's covered can probably put a port on the bottom.

Good video! Can you recommend a model that supports HDMI 2.1 and do you know if the model in this video would be able to user powerline adapters for ethernet?

Unfortunately no idea on HDMI 2.1 just read lots off comments. It's proprietary signal over the wire so I don't think so as powerline does something similar. Converts ethernet frames into a different signal.
But if you have coax in your house I think converters exist for those

Thank you for the video! How is the video and audio delay between sender and receiver? Can it be used for gaming with pc or console?

Oh basically zero, I probably wouldn't want to play games but I am yet to notice any delay.

@@JenxTechthat’s what I’m working on currently trying to run a ps5 over this connection.

@@_Higherlearning ahh ok. Mmm. Well it depends if you're running just the audio or putting the PS5 at the other end and running both video over Ethernet. Just audio I wouldn't worry, but there will be some delay with video (it has to convert and compress it over the wire) so depends on your setup

@@JenxTech hmm. Thanks for the insight. What should I be looking at first to get this accomplished properly?

Dust..... one speck on the wrong component can cause problems.....

Its a bad ideal to have equipment locked up in an airtight enclouser, it needs to vent the heat

Its not it wont release enough heat to cause a problem.
