Bob is probably the best musician of all time, his understanding and lyrics touch us all regardless of race or social standing. His songs are like messages to us all, that if we understand them make us better people. He seems to connect with us all and his songs reflect every part of what it's like to be human, all the good and bad parts explained in lyrics that we can all understand. R.I.P Bob you are a true light of inspiration to us all!!!

I once went through such a dark time after a near death experience (a premeditated attempted murder), and no support network whatsoever to recover, that I could only tolerate this song on repeat for six weeks straight, without a break. The moments between playings were agony. This song is a salve. This song literally saved my life. Greatest song ever. He had a affect on the world like no other musician. And just think Americans did not accept him until Europe made him a star. Then America brought him to Madison Square Garden of where I was front and center.

    Lyrics:
    Oh-a-w-oh
When i was just a little child
    (Little child)
    Happiness was there awhile
    (There awhile)
    And from me, it...
    It slipped one day (ay)
    Happiness
    Come back I say
    Cause if you don't come
    I've got to go looking...
    For happiness
    Well if you don't come
    I've got to go looking...
    God, for happiness... happiness
    Say that
    Say i'm hurting
    (Inside) and its no...
    I'm hurting
    I'm hurting
    Deep inside
    Oh good god now
    Oh hear my cry
    Hear my cry
Yeah my my my my my my my cry
    Been together like school children
    (School children)
Then you hurt me just in vain
    (Just in vain)
    Oh...
    Lord, i'm your little child
    (Little child)
    Oh
    Happiness come back awhile
    Cause if you don't come
    I'm go'ng a looking
    For happiness
    The road is dangerous
    Cause if you don't come
    I've got to go looking
    For happiness... happiness
    Said I'm...
    Don't you know i'm...
    I'm hurting, hurting inside
    Oh i'm hurting
    Who cares
    Who cares
    Does the one who love
    Oh
    Feel the pain
    Feel the pain
    Does the one who love
    Feel the pain
    Feel the pain

My first experience with music is from Bob. My Ma would play him all the time when I was younger. The first song I remember was Kaya, when I was around 3. Still discovering new tracks from Bob 20 years later. Great song this 👍

Wow it’s really human to hear this song. He always speaks of positivity or social change but often not of that internal pain at least from what I’ve heard. This is really special

How much emotion we carry inside of us...doesn't matter how small or big it only takes one memory to trigger it off. The wellbeing of our spirit needs nurturing everyday not just when it hurts. Jah Bless

This tune came from a Bob Marley album called "Chances are"
Although released after Bob died, all the songs are previously unreleased and on a different label.
It is a very beautiful tune, and I can identify with those who listen to this tune in a time of personal loss. Although as Bob sings ....it's just the one who knows, feel the pain.
    God bless us all.

June is a very difficult month for me, 2 of my relatives died and I'm hurt. Both of them were hurting during their lifetime and their last time alive.
I hope the last feeling we could feel when leaving this life isn't despair,
I hope the last feeling we have is happiness
Wherever they are now, I know they're not hurting.
