This is the best Bob Marley song! 20 years ago, I bought soooo many box set CDs to find this song. I finally found it on a box set out of the UK. They seem to have the best reggae to date.
This song is the reason why they were called The Wailing Wailers. This tune full of raw emotions and feelings, one of the best Roots songs. Nuff Respect Bob N the Wailers.
So in the '60's they did not have access to the very best recording, but somehow nothing can diminish this. You can sure hear the incredible talent, they must have been amazing live.

Yes I&I...I&I spirits are hurting deep inside to see the world in a very bad situation today! but I&I know what is to be shall be. at the end of the day I&I will win good over evil. seen.
Eu conhecia somente a versão acústica dessa música, já era completamente apaixonado por ela, mas essa versão conseguiu superar... Obrigado mais uma vez, Bob!
I love the slow version better .. There is a musical and spiritual groove and swing to this one. BUT .. I guess humans love what they are used too. Either way salute to the band producers singers and engineer cause this is a flawless masterpiece
@@kingcrycry2334 If I'm correct, the original Wailers version was a up tempo Ska tune. This version was done latter into the 70s, when he was solo. And, released after his death...but, I may be wrong...
@@stayout9 This version is the original one (1968) on the short living "wail n soul m" label, with Peter Tosh and Rita Marley. The version you are talking about is a different one on the JAD label, recorded in 1972 , overdubbed, remixed and released in 81' just after his death

Eu conhecia somente a versão acústica dessa música, já era completamente apaixonado por ela, mas essa versão conseguiu superar... Obrigado mais uma vez, Bob!
Essa versão aqui é pesada demais, transmiti muito bem "essa dor" da música. Somzao
Somehow this song pulls of being an overcast wallowing soundtrack and an undeniably uplifting jam.
I never knew this version existed 👊.
crying
Melhor música do bob marley pra mim 🇯🇲♥️
Bob Marley gave me the strength to give up class A JAH RASTAFARI

Wow, never heard this version before. Followed the Wailers since the late 70s. In all honesty I like the “known” version better. Still amazing

@@kingcrycry2334 ow, so the Ska version was later? Surprising. Lol...I've been mistaken all these years...
@@stayout9 What ska version ? I don’t believe there is a ska version of that song. Never heard. Nor according to Roger Steffens...
This is the Wailers - not "Bob Marley & the Wailers" The latter name was introduced with the Concrete Jungle Album -
The name "Bob Marley & the Wailing Wailers" appears on a number of late sixties Wail N Soul M 45s released from Greenwich Park Road
Definitely Bob

I've been searchin' the whole darn day
For a little woman of mine - mine - mine - mine
Someone a-told me I could find her here,
But it seem she disappear
Said, I searched the whole darn day
Night is drawing nigh
I think I'd better go home
Try tomorrow again
But when I reached that railroad station,
I missed the last train,
And then it seemed like dewdrops
Gonna fall on me
Yes, it seem like teardrops
Gonna call on me now
I said, I'd better make up my mind
What am I gonna do
Am I gonna rest up here,
Or am I gonna push on through?
My mind say, "Hey, man, ya hit the road."
Down there I missed the track - track - track
I'm lost! Lord, I'm lost, eh!
Love is such a heavy load!
And then: for crying out loud, come back to me!
For crying out loud, hear my plea!
For crying out loud, come back to me!
Why do you treat me so bad?
Why do you treat me so bad?
Mm - mm - mm - mm - bam, bam
Bom, bom, bome, bome

1967????? no
circa January 1968 according to Roger Steffens and Leroy Jodie Pierson (Bob Marley and The Wailers - The Definitive discography)
Yes it is man. when left Coxsone at Studio 1 they launched his self produced songs. In the begun of Rocksteady era. That very first songs own produced all are killers
Yes, this is rocksteady, not reggae. Every rocksteady record was made in the 1966-1968 era. In 1968 reggae was 'invented'
You're right! This is ROCKSTEADY!
