I saw Bob and The Wailers play In Austin within a couple of years of this album's release. It was an amazing concert. I never imagined at the time that Bob wasn't long for this world. So grateful I was able to see him perform live. One love, indeed. 💖

In 200 years at 2177 , people will still be listening
He was such a wonderful and loving man. And open minded person. Rastafari, not Christian. Yet, made a song about or story, us Christ Followers, Exodus, from the Bible. Now, of course it could be also a metaphor, of immagrants and disproportionated people, seeking freedom/asylum. But, that's the beauty, he left it open ended.
This is why the entire world loved him and still do! Another reason I love him. Because he truly was, for everyone! Not just some.
So excited to see the film about him on Love Day [not VDay, but Love Day] Excited!!
I hope God seeks Favor in him and in his own time, he got close with Yeshua. I would love to see him in Heaven.
Regardless, Bob Marely and the Wailers truly changed the world! One of my favorite songs! And going on my road trip soundtrack, for my 19 hour drive of going from Texas, back up to Michigan, back to my family to live there again. Escaping my situation. I love Texas, but I'm in a rough situation. So, this is like my own Exudos. God bless this man.

Love that funky guitar. I know what this song is really about, but I think it speaks to anyone who sees themselves in a bad situation where they live and want to move somewhere where they can be better off.
1977... What a great year. Moved from the Great SW to the Great Pacific Northwest in 74. I was 11 yrs old and I am from the Navajo nation in New Mexico. Mom worked for the B.I.A tribal government in Administration. Talk about going to a place of all walks of life! Intermixed with all races and became family.. had a special tool to make it happen.. Frisbee! Rock, Country, jazz, yes disco an pop came in bout that time but the Reggae music 🎶! It's got it all.. and a way to learn scripture from the Bible.
