Absolutely loved this movie. Was fortunate enough to watch this at the AFI festival. I cannot wait to watch this beautiful gem again. It was an honor shaking Scott Cooper’s hand and thanking him for this powerful film.

We liked the film too, even if the writer was audacious enough to borrow some dialogue from "Unforgiven." Like "I killed everything that walked or crawled [at one time or another]." and "I killed women and children." The only flaw in the film. A fine western otherwise.

A clip of the scene towards the end got me hooked enough to watch the whole movie. It begins with the Captain so set on revenge he couldn't care less about a presidential order, no punishment was bad enough for the Indians. By the end he has come so perfectly full circle that he's the one waving the order and willing to kill his own to carry it out. Talk about Shakespearean! The ending is so perfect it is hard to describe. Magnificent movie!

Some of the best Actors and one of the best movies ever. We should not hate a whole people for the actions of a few, there were wrongs on both sides, ( "there were good people on both sides") Donald Trump" . ( :

That Trump quote is pathetic....it's like the morally repugnant "Not all Germans were bad...only the Nazis were bad."
When a minority was able to murder millions....why did the "good ones" not stand up against them before others had to loose their lives....
When Trump puked this quote out he claimed "there's good people on the anti-Semitic far right neo Confederate Neo Nazi" side.
      Really?!? There's "good" Fascists?!?

If this takes place partially in Montana, why does NO ONE in Montana know about it? Probably because it was filmed in other locations.

I saw this the other day. Slow-moving, boring, pretentious, terrible story line and a forced, revisionist effort. Total crap. Don't waste your time.

Slow moving? A family slaughtered all but the mother in the first few minutes. Boring? Where? Pretentious? At this point I'm convinced you don't know the meaning of words. A story line worthy of the Bard. (Look it up, as I'm dead certain you won't get it otherwise.) One of the very best movies of the last few years.
