    I bought mine from a different supplier; the case and cylinder came assembled beforehand. Aided additionally by an IPL because all of my parts came in one bag, I'm finished in a day. I had two pieces with aluminum overcast that needed to be cleaned up, oh, and the coil and clutch hub are both missing! However, the seller already replied that the missing parts will be sent.
    Much thanks for the guiding light these videos provided. Stay safe.

      Thanks! Some kits have extra parts and others are missing things. Thankfully they are going to send you what you need.

    Just finished my build by far the best videos on RUclips. Simple short and sweet no fluff. I had no labels so that was a bit different than yours and I also had fuel line pre installed in mine instead of that long piece you had. I also had a different air filter. All in all the build went great and fired right up. I used sthil rings, sthil wrist pins sthil cage bearings. Mine also came with an ngk spark plug. Thanks again.

      Your welcome. Thanks for the compliments. They recently started including an NGK plug with the kits. I hope it is a true NGK plug.

      @@mikhailkimbel91 The 440 I did with a farmertec cylinder is a beast. Hopefully your 660 will be very powerful. They really seem to be getting their stuff together on cylinders. Not that long ago some cylinders, even expensive ones were turds.

      That long gas line was for the oil pump. Goes in tank then acts as seal when puting pump on.

    I have reviewed a lot of these build videos and I think you are the only one who does the chain guard the way it probably should be done. Everyone else was complaining about how hard it was to get at the nut when they put it behind the back bucking spikes. Another guy was complaining about the bucking spike bolts interfering with the chain guide plastic pieces and was thinking he had to grind the bolt or the guide mount down to get a fit.

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  7 лет назад

      Thanks, I tried to do everything right. I know that is the correct way for the chain catcher to go on. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

    Personally, I like the Bosch plug for my Stihl chainsaws. They seem to recover from being flooded a lot better than NGK plugs and we all know how easy it is to flood a Stihl saw.

    • @TractorTech

      I've never had a problem with a Stihl flooding if everything was right.

    Thank you for making these videos. Without your help, I would not have known how to get my saw together. All my bags of parts came unlabeled so I had to pay close attention to all the MS660 assembly videos I could find to figure out what went where. My saw started on the 4th pull and runs great but now I want to adjust the carb to make sure it's not too lean. Which way on the carb screws is rich and which way is lean? Thanks again!

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  5 лет назад +1

      Your welcome! Rich is counterclockwise and lean is clockwise on the carb adjustment screws. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I was sick.

    3:32 when you put sleeve ring into intake boot, did you have hard time putting it in? I was trying to put mine in it didn't go all the way in. It was sitting on top of intake boot. I was using the sleeve that came with the kit. I also ordered additional sleeve to be sure. And they looked exactly the same.
    I dont know how you got that sleeve ring into the boot. Any advice would help thanks.

    Your fuel line is backwards, the part you have in the tank is the part that attaches to the carb. All the ribbed hose should be in the tank.

    Thats not the correct fuel line. i believe thats a spare fuel line that goes into the tank and has the filter attached. My farmertec saw just uses the 90 out of the tank and a short piece of regular strait fuel line. You might find the part on Huztl.net Thats where the saws ive built come from and they are great to deal with.... I'm curious how much shipping did you pay threw your dealer? Huztl shipping is pretty high but the price of the saw is allot cheaper.

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  7 лет назад +1

      I also thought it was a spare tank line and compared it to the one in the tank, and the one in the tank was longer. I ordered the elbow at the dealer today. It has $.85. He said they had never sold one. I'm going to get some fuel line when I pick up the elbow. I think the shipping was $25.

    • @builtrodewreckedit
      @builtrodewreckedit 7 лет назад +1

      The farmertec saw from huztl.net is 271 total with shipping. and thats without any fancy cylinder or rings.
      That fuel elbow is $.35 but probably takes a week to get here from china.

    I had the same problem with my top cover that you had. I took my Drexel tool with a dancing drum and opened up the hole so my screech wouldbtighten and remove the spark plug. You forgot the washers on the air filter bracket. They go under the nuts that hold the carburator on.

    what would make it so hard to pull start? i followed the vid, put it together & you will pull your shoulder apart trying to pull start.

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  5 лет назад +1

      Try centering the bearings. Put a socket on the flywheel nut and give it a tap. Then do the same on the clutch. See if that frees it up.
