I loved hearing him laugh like this one on "Are you lonesome tonight ?" while Kathy continued (or at least tried to continue her vocal accompaniment in the back ! It was so good to see him on stage, laughing, talking with fans, showing pictures !!! An Elvis's concert was nothing like a "normal" concert with others singers : it really was an exchange between him and his fans... He was incomparable ! We use to hear talking about a sick Elvis who had gained weight ! But Elvis suffered from water retention. With fatigue (and God knows how much he was tired with all these tours all year around). I suffer from the same thing. In the morning when I get up, my stomach is completely flat, but as my work day goes on, I take on the stomack of a 5 months pregnant woman ! So it's easy to critisize, but even when Elvis was tired, he never cancelled any concert, because he knews that it would disapoint his fans who generaly bought tickets months in advance ! Rest in peace now Elvis ! We loved you so, but we loved you badly
