I do miss their TV show. It was very good. That company did work their asses off in that freezing cold weather to make things happen up there. Plus it was old equipment too. Just because it's old doesn't mean it can't be useful. That goes for people too. Great video.
Chief Pilot Arnie could fly anything. 3 engines, no problem. RIP with a big Wasp engine at your side! Watching him recreate the dropping of a Dam Buster rolling bomb was fantastic.
For those interested in what Mikey and BA are up to. Check out their second one of the 108 D Day DC3 Gooney Birds that will be in the air for the 75th anniversary this year @
Most anyone could drive a new airplane, it takes a real pilot with brains an muscles to drive a D.C. 3. These machines have been and shall be around and working for a long time, millennial S take notice 🙏
I was like: Wow what kind of plane is that, when i saw the beginning of this video. these old planes are really awesome. Great job like always pretty cool
I have not seen a C-46 but here! I see videos of Brits going to 'Suzy Air" to fly Pilatus mustly in Indonesia to get experience. I suppose going to Canada is not worth it, or going to USA.
LOVE to fly in one of these! During the 90's I had contacted someone in Canada, that had some of these DC-4s I was welcome to take a flight in one of them, but I never made it up there yet. Got any DC-7s? (If not would you be aware of any that are still airworthy and take passengers up? Thanks!

So loud, the pilots don't talk, just make vague hand signals.

I would love to fly with them on some of these routes
Son geniales. En esas temperaturas y con esos aviones tan antiguos. Son verdaderos pilotos. Mi respeto y amiracion.
